First things first -

Leora - congratulations! that is so awesome! i know you are worried about twins - but it will be different this time! you are bringing home 2 babies!!!

Margie - congrats on awesome beta! I am so glad it worked this time and sounds like you are going to be expecting twins as well

AFM, i moved up my heartbeat u/s to today because if it was bad news i didnt want it to be the day before my DS birthday. And I am glad i did - very sadly it is bad news. Oh, i dont know why we, IVF ladies, have to go through so many trials to be succsful - why oh why cant it just work the first time around??!!! So, they saw 2 little "remntants" on the u/s but they were way too small for 7 weeks. no heartbeats obviously. So,the low rising betas proved not to be a good sign afterall.

So what's next for me? i wait for my period now - which is going to be heavy and hopefully will come in the next week or two - and then i start the FET. If the period doesnt come in 2 weeks then we'll do a D&C. My doctor now seems to be more convinced that FETs are the way to go for me. I now have 2 unsuccesful fresh cycles and one succesful FET. Hopefully the upcoming FET will keep the succesful FET streak going. I sent am email to my embryologyst asking for her opinion as to what she thinks went wrong. Its confusing to me that both embryos sort of "took" but didnt make it obviously. I asked her was it the environment or the embryos?

Margi -- HOLY COW!!! 240at 13 dpo has got to be multiples! My beta was 290 at 14 dpo and even my RE said he thought "uh oh, the embie split!". When is your u/s??? Congrats!

Awww Lyd--- I'm so sorry to hear this. I really had hopes your bean would make it. I'm glad you have frosties to do a FET. Maybe your doc is right, that FET's are the way to go for you. I haven't had luck myself with them but I've heard other women say the only way they've ever gotten pregnant is with FET's. Best of luck to you in your FET cycle! I'll be cheering you on for sure.

Anton - 7! Yay! That's fantastic! You will for SURE have some great embryos to transfer on Saturday!

kbillsy - I really like guided meditation too. I have some tapes. Apparently, there are IVF specific ones to use around ET time. I know Margi used them - I don't know what they are called.

Carol - I agree not to POAS until AT LEAST 10dpiui. I would wait until 12, but then again, you know that I always say I'll wait and NEVER do!

GreekChick - when the ER will be depends on what your clinic is looking for. Usually it's something like - when you have 3 follies bigger than 18mm or something like that. Can you ask your clinic how much longer they think it should take?

Tiger - waiting sucks.... hopefully soon you'll be pregnant and just waiting for a little one to arrive. I'm sorry you are stuck waiting again....

Lou - I'm so glad the doppler worked right away. I bought a cheap one ($30) and now I'm worried it'll give me more problems than it's worth. We'll see when it gets here and I'm far enough along to try it.

Katie - I always imagine everything that can possibly go wrong. It's really hard. Try to relax and clear your mind. Yes, lots of things can go wrong, but then again, lots of things can go right. I try to tell myself that EVERY SINGLE healthy pregnancy starts off the way mine is right now. Yes, things can still go wrong, but things can still go right. How was the FET today?

Lauren - puppy is SOOOOOOO cute! OMG! I just want to pick her up and give her a hug! Sometimes I wonder if we should give up on having kids, move to a farm and just have lots and lots of animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc). Sounds tempting most of the time....

Margi - WOOOOHOOOOO! That's amazing! With TWINS my beta was 200 at 16dpo.... according to beta base - the average for TRIPLETS at 13dpo is 170! I'm really hoping this means a healthy pregnancy for you. Now I can't wait for your u/s!

LYD - wow. I'm so so so sorry. Big hugs. Maybe this FET will be better for you. Again, I'm so sorry...

AFM-

Still excited about my u/s today. We saw perfect yolk sacs with fetal poles (really early embryos) each with a heartbeat. The big black dots are the gestational sacs, the white circles inside are the yolk sacs and the bright spots on the circles are the babies! Not nearly as cute as they will be, but I think they look pretty darn good!



Official CRL measurements for BOTH were 5w6d, which worries me a tiny bit, since I'm supposed to be 6w1d.... but I'm sure things will be fine.

Next step is a meeting with the RE tomorrow to fill out some final paperwork - then I need to find an OB!

Margi- WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! Awesome beta #!!!!! I am SOO happy for you my friend! Actually I am thrilled!!!! I told you, you need to start saving money for that Cali baby Van! I'll even pitch in!! CjinNC- Thank you for being happy for me! It depends on how many we will have on day 5. I am thinking of transfering 2 but my DH and my RE believe that we should transfer 3 due to the multiple IVF failures and that I'll be 37 in June. I don't know . we will see when we time comes. For the moment I want my embies to keep on growing nicelly like they should Hang in there on POAS! which day is beta day?

Tiger- Thank you for being happy for me dear! I hope Saturday will be IT! As for the time off I've got all the time in the world as I am unemployed its been 7 months now. After working for 7 years in one of the biggest distributors on the island as a Marketing Manager they let me go and that was during my 3rd IVF. It was devastating. So my DH doesn't want me to find another job yet until we get our BFP so that I am not stressed and relax enough so it will help me get pregnant. I had a very stressfull and demanding Job with late working hrs and even worked during holidays so to be honest I really needed a break. Actually I've been working for the last 15years so a little break wont do me any harm I guess My MIL runs this carehome with people suffering from mental disorders, schizophrenia, depression etc. and so I go almost everyday and do occupational therapy to them. I find this realy fullfilling for me as I help people in need of attention, affection and love. This makes me to appreciate more being alive and having the life I have. So, as for resting I can stay in bed for the those 2ww if I choose to ..but i Wont! this is too much!

Lou- Thank you for being so excited for me! You keep those fingers crossed alright!! and thats the deal! The fetal doppler sounds great! I bet this is going to be your new toy!

Katieb- Thank you for being happy for me! Don't worry your frost babies are going to be just fine! They are waiting to come home to their mommy!
