Day one of 2ww down....not too bad relaxed most of the day watched "Love & Other Drugs" it was cute but had some turns I didn't expect. Of course the progesterone is making me gassy....hate that! I have been getting up and getting things I need but not running any marathons & trying to not pick up my DD which is really hard. I will start POAS on Monday or Tuesday.....last time I started to get faint positives around 10dpo but I am scared this time cause this was a FET cycle.

Leorira- I hope you are getting some rest & finding some peace in the fact that you still have two strong heartbeats......have faith in yourself that you are meant to be a mommy and these are your "take home" babies.Image Image

Kbillsy - Yay for being PUPO!Image is a great day....you have BETA same day as me! I went to acupuncture before & will go on Friday & Monday then continue once or twice a week thru the first 8 weeks, I think acupuncture can really be beneficial so continue to do it if you can. I will of course POAS stick I don't like the unknown! Will you? Anyways congrats for being PUPO.....let the madness begin! Is DH going to pamper you? Congrats on DH's new job! More money always eases the pressure of life a little bit!

Margi - Your BETA is awesome! It is doubling or more than doubling perfectly! So happy for you! I know this time you are really pregnant and can relax and bring home your 5 Cali baby from the hospital Image

CJinNC - I know nothing about OHSS but I think if you are that uncomfortable you should at least make a call to the RE just for peace of mind. Let us know.....

Kynlee - Yay for transfer tomorrow! Sounds like your embies are just perfect! Can't wait to hear how it goes...ask for a picture I love looking at mine feels like it is the first picture of my babies!

Image

Anton - Any report on the embies today or is it tomorrow? Still planning on a Saturday transfer? I will be very close to my computer since my fam & DH has decided that I should bed rest as much as possible! I guess as long as he pampers me I am OK!
Image

NWQuiz - Sounds like you had a long day but a productive one....I hope & pray with everything I have that this is it for you and that you get your baby this time around.

Image

Greekchick - Sounds like you are progressing nicely......I would think you would trigger soon and have your ER and ET before you know it and be PUPO!

Whoa, so much to catch up on....

Margi - I am so incredibly happy for you. YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! :D :D :D Can't wait to find out how many wee beans you're brewing.

Katie - FETs do work so fingers crossed for a BFP just around the corner for you.

Kbillsy - congrats on being PUPO.

Leora - your two little beans look beautiful. A few days behind in measurements is just fine so don't you worry yourself.

CJinc - I hope you're doing okay. Please call your RE if you don't improve.

Anton - good luck for your ET tomorrow. Your fertility reports have been great. We don't get put under general anesthesia for ETs. Just get given an awesome drug that makes you feel like you've had a few wines. You're awake through the whole process but get really forgetful so cant remember the number of eggs retrieved and stuff. I love general anesthesia too. The feeling you get as you drift away...and then awake up what seems like two seconds later.

Kynlee - will be thinking of you tomorrow. Baby dust being blown your way.

Greekchick - grow follies grow. :)

LYD - I'm so sorry to hear your news. I went through beta hell during my first IVF and it sucks. Take a bit of time to let your mind and body recover. I chose to wait until I naturally miscarried at 8.5 wks which happened about two wks after I found out the pregnancy was a no go. If your head can deal with waiting for your body to do its thing, I'd recommend that, rather than medical intervention. But it's a very personal choice.

Rio - lovely to hear from you.

AFM - DH and I have been referred to the genetics section of the hospital so definitely sounds like the baby's post mortem report showed genetic abnormalities. They won't discuss the results until we have the mtg though which we are hoping will be in the next couple of weeks. So I'm still to call my RE when I get my AF. I don't start tests and drugs till day 21 so a few weeks up my sleeve. If the genetic disorder is just a random occurrence then we'll probably get the go ahead with this cycle. If DH or I need to have tests and then we need to do screening, that will slow down the whole process. Argghhh! The waiting games we play. I'm a bit freaked out that either DH or I could have a kidney disorder but we just have to keep that PMA and look to the future. :x

Sorry I can't do personals for everyone. Time for me to concentrate on American Idol. Who's gonna win? I think Casey's the man!

hi everyone! :)
Today is Friday 18th and the time in my part of the world is 10:40 am and the sun is allready up and shinning! :D I have a strong feeling that this is going to be a good day for all of us! :D

Leorira- You were in my thoughts and prayers all night my friend!! I was sending you some really positive vibes for you and the twins to be strong and healthy! I hope you felt them and it worked! I hope today is much much better and everything is OK as they should be. I hope this was just a storm that came and passed and today you will see your rainbow. keep us posted on your news as you as you find time! ((hugs)) :D

Margi- Huge Congratulations on your awesome beta rise!!!!!Yayyyyyy!!!! You are definatelly pregnant my friend!!! :D I am SO happy for you!! :D My bet is on TWINS for you for sure! I feel it! I can't wait to see those pics from your u/s now! ...Thank you for being positive on my embies making it to day 5! I can't wait!! :D...can I ask you a question please?, When you had your ET in Cali did they told you to wait for their "confirmation" call the morning of the ET and then go at the clinic? or after ER you just waited 5 days and when to your ET appt?

Kynlee- I am confused girl! Your transfer is today Friday or tomorrow Saturday? With the difference of time that we have sometime if I don't see the actual date I get confused... So, on my screen I see you posted your last post on Friday (today) and you are saying that tomorrow (that is Saturday) you are having your ET 8) So, either you mean Friday 3/18 or Saturday 3/19 I wish you the best of luck you PUPO mama!! :D :D ...btw, if you mean tomorrow then we are having our ET the same day! isn't that cool!!! :D

CjinNC- Never had OHSS but I would definatelly call me RE if I where you just to get the worry out of my system. I hope you already feeling better and this is far away from being a OHSS! :D btw, the video was hillarious!!

Mamaboo- I don't think you need and appt for your beta day...I never make an appt. I just go there, and the rurse expects me and knows that I am going for my beta even if I don't mention it she is saying it first " So you came for your Beta, right!" they have this spread shit where all the names of the patients and their beta are marked and so they know when to expect you. But hey! don't take my word for it! maybe your clinic works with appt. funny thing, if I knew that beta is by appt I would booked that appt from the minute I got out of the ER room!

Katieb- I am happy for you that your DH pampers you!! :D ...this is part of the game right! :D All DH's are expected to do that for the whole 9 months and they start with those 2ww! :D So enjoy it!! :D I've seen "Love & other drugs" about 2 weeks ago ( me & DH we are movie freeks! ) and I found it a really nice movie...with a twist...but I like twist's in movies, makes them more interesting. :D

Tess- Thank you for your wishes! :D we don't get a general anesthesia on ET either! Only on ER...damm! ...On ET we get a minor sedation and it feels just like you described it! I am actually looking forward to it! :D I hope the findings of your tests you are going to have are clear! and neither you or your DH have anything to worry about. This must have been a random occurrence like you said your self! Good luck with everything dear! :D

AFM- Well, today Friday 3/18 my nurse is going to call me and arrange the time for tomorrow's ET (Saturday 3/19 morning) Even though she told me that on ET with blastocysts they wait until the morning of day 5 to make sure that the embies have growned as they should and if all good they call you to go right in for ET. I will have my appt but I will get confirmation of it tomorrow moring just before the ET. This is killing me! I think the agony of this is worse than the 2ww! I still have a good feeling about this and I am realy positive but still the agony is there! So the best medicine is to keep my self busy! :D I have some errants to run until noon and then I am meeting my mom for some shopping & lunch down town. She doesn't know! We haven't told anyone this time. Its too much stress for them too. After the last failed cycle we told them that we don't want to talk about it again and when we have good news they will be the first to know. So it worked and they never asked :) So my mom told me that we meet either today or monday and of course I said today! I don't wan't walk aroundn town during next week. Today my DH is having this conference he organized and tonight he is going out for business dinner. Tomorrow he is not going at all to the conference as he will be on stand by for our ET appt. I know he feels bad about not going but as he said the priority is US and the making of our family.

Sorry for No blinkies this time! Gotta run!!! xxx

Baby dust to us all!!

Anton, 15 eggs and 7 out of them were fertilised. Not bad at all! I haven’t had such high success rate so far. Got a question for you: On which day of your cycle (when) did you start the antagonist? Which antagonist did you use? Based on what I read so far, no BCP seems more logical. I should surely discuss this with my old doctor.

Tiger, you are right, Ghost can surely common on this. When I am prepared, I will start a tread for this.

Margi, Congratulations! You are really a pregnant lady now :D

Kynlee, Good luck for your transfer!

Mamboo, look forward to your POAS report!

Margi, thank you for sharing. What did your successful agonist protocol look like? Did you take BCP in the preparation phase?

Tess, it is also time for Belgian Idol. The first TV show of this season will be on tonight!

AFM, got an appointment for a uterus MRI scan early next month. Hopefully nothing is wrong with my uterus. Fingers are crossed.

Anton- Things looking good i seel All the best tomorrow. Let us know how many you decide to transfer.
Margi- Girl things are looking good and start enjoying every minute of it before you know it the nine months will be up and gone. So keep up the positive energy and celebrate to the fullest what you have.

First of all - UPDATE on me --

Bleeding stopped at 3pm yesterday (ie, only bled for total of about 4 hours). I spent the long, lonely, boring night in the hospital (with a very verrrryyyy talkative roommate. sigh.) - After being woken up at 5am to check my blood pressure (ugh), I finally had my us at about 10:30am
EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE! omg, I can't believe. Y'all don't understand HOW MUCH blood there was. I was afraid I would die from losing so much blood.

They can't find the source of the bleed, which they tell me is good (because it means it won't bleed more). I'm on bed rest for the weekend and meet with my IVF doc on Sunday again. I'll probably get put on moderate bed rest for a few weeks (so no job searching and I'll get disability benefits from the govt - which will be a relief. I'm worried about money even if DH isn't. I grew up poor, he grew up rich - so I'm the one who always wants to make sure we have plenty of money). I also have an appt with the new high risk OB on Thursday. I get another u/s on Sunday.

They say that the 'threat' part of the 'threatened miscarriage' has passed for now. PHEW!

DH and I can't believe God is playing such a mind-f*ck game with us. Sheesh....

Anton - your embryos sound AMAZING! Best of luck tomorrow! I hope you have plenty of blasts, for now and later!

Carol - 5/6/7dpo is STILL waaaay too early for anything! Try to hold out until 12 at least! I love your December due date!

Katie - I watched "Love and other drugs" during my rest after ET - so maybe it's a good sign! What did you think? I've decided that I don't like movies that can't possibly have a happy ending (ie, she will NEVER get better... whether or not they are together). Only happy movies for now! But I thought Love and Other Drugs was well done otherwise.

nwquiz - I'm so glad your WTF appt went well. Your RE sounds great and that he will be taking care of you now. Sucks that you had to get bad treatment first, but hopefully now it'll be better.

Margi - WOOOOOOHOOOOOO ! That's awesome! What's next? Waiting for an u/s? You are almost exactly 2 weeks behind me!

Kynlee - best of luck today!

kbillsy - Congrats on being PUPO! Remember - ask Lou - it only takes one!

Tess - It's sooo hard to hear autopsy reports. I hope you find strength through this awful process. As sad as it was to lose your baby, I hope it was a random occurrence and not something genetic that could affect a future baby.

Leora, I am SOOO relieved. You and your little ones were the last thing on my mind last night in my prayers and when I woke up early this morning. I feel like they are my babies.. or maybe my grand babies since you are the same age as my oldest son. I really thing as wonderful as your DH is, you will have no trouble with bed rest, even if it is for the next 7 months. Make a list of your favorite movies and have him go rent them. Also, baby magazines and gardening magazines - gets you in the mood for spring. And of course books. Time will fly if you keep your mind busy. I understand about worrying about money - I grew up poor as well.... we ate spaghetti most nights of the week and one special family meal every Sunday when my Grandma would come to dinner. So I am used to pinching pennies, clipping coupons and only buying things on sale or in thrift shops. My DH, on the otherhand, just asked for something and he got it - even if it was a pair of $150 shoes. They had a housekeeper and a yard man, so he never had to clean house or mow the lawn. He was spoiled rotten and it has taken 9 years to break him of the habit of expecting others to do what is his responsbility! LOL

BUT.. you deserve a break and now is the time to take it.... if his family needs to help then so be it... you are carrying their precious grandchildren after all. Take care of yourself... you are living for THREE!!!!

Leora: I am so relieved...I too woke up thinking about you. Take extra care of yourself and those beans. I am so happy that all is looking fine...and the money piece helps take that pressure off.

AFM: Next beta is for Tuesday, 3/22 and then I have an u/s scheduled for the following Tuesday, 3/29. Pins and needles until then.

PS Someone needs to be brave and start a SPRING CYCLE group ...hm.....shall I nominate someone? Anton...you have a lot of energy and PMA!!! Or maybe it should be someone getting ready to start, not someone who is nearly PUPO....come on someone.....being listmaster isn't too hard... I know that some people prefer the smaller month/two month groups, but I have prefered having a larger group to get to know for a longer period of time, so I really think someone should do a SPRING CYCLE 2011. That is my vote. :D

Margi -- Uh.... I really think you should be adding another baby to that ticker you've got. I'm definitely betting on twins!

kbillsy -- Thinking of you and praying for a BFP! It does only take one.

Carol -- How is the OHSS? You sound miserable. I do hope that means your preggo!

Kynlee and Anton -- ET is sooooon! Soooo excited for you both to be PUPO and get your BFP's!

Leora -- I'm so happy for you! With all these prayers coming from everyone there's no way this isn't going to work out for you.

AFM -- Nothing to report for me. I did use my doppler this AM before work to hear the heartbeat. It just makes me feel so much better. I don't consider myself "out of the woods" until I'm done with this trimester.

Good evening everyone! :D

Looks like we all had a good day after all!

Leorira- Thank God everything is fine!!!! I checked the board when I got back from town just to make sure you where ok and once I saw it was I was relief and thought of posting later :) I am SO happy you are out of danger my friend!! I knew this was going to pass! :D Thank you for wishing me luck and I really hope things will be OK tomorrow! :D Image

Kynlee- ALL THE BEST ON ET TOMORROW!!! :D I AM SENDING YOU LOTS OF POSITIVE AND STICKY VIBES!! THIS IS IT GIRL! WE ARE GOING TO BE PUPO! Yayyyy!!!! :D Image

Kerri- To answer your question, I've started Follistim (its called Fostimon at my place) on day 2 of my period and NO BCP's. And so far so good! :D If you want me to tell you how my whole 9 day program was I can tell you... :) BTW I am SURE there's nothing wrong with your uterus!! :D

Nwquiz- Thank you for your wishes! :D First of all I am praying that hopefully all my 5 embies will be in good shape for tomorrow's transfer. If all OK then I want to transfer 2 blasts and freeze the other for next time...in a year or so for baby #2 or 3

Margi- Thank you for making me a nominee my friend, I am honoured, but I am planning on getting my BFP in a week or so and move on to the other board where you, Leorira and the other blessed pregos are going to be! I hope that is fine with you! :) But yes, I agree tha this Spring Cycle should be started from someone whose getting ready to start her cycle. And I also agree that the longer the period is the better the girls will now each other! :D Image

Lou- Thank you for being excited for me and of all the support you are giving me from the other side of the river! the prego side! it means double for me! :D I am looking forward to that BFP! trust me!!! :D btw, I told you that this doppler is going to be your new toy!! enjoy it mama! :D Image

AFM- Well, my nurse did called me today and told me the same thing she told me yesterday. My ET appt is tomorrow at 12am but first I need to call around 10-10:30am tomorrow morning and ask the embryologyst if my embies are ok and whether I am doing the ET or not. :( I hate this part! but this is what is going to happen and I can't change that. SO! I am just going to pray for that phonecall tomorrow morning to give me the good news that I am diying to hear!. I dont think I am going to sleep tonight! I am visualizing my embies looking perfect blasts and waiting for mommy and duddy to come and get them! I am being hormonal again! ...but can you blame me!!!! ..I also did a bad thing for my PMA today  ...I googled about day 5 transfers and there was this woman on this board that said she had 10 perfect embies on day 3 and on day 5 she called and they told her that none of them made it! :( That crushed me and put me on a bad trip!! I am trying not to think of it at all! and make only positive thoughts!! I am realy trying! we've came so far I am not going to loose hope yet!! I am taking the happy thoughts with me to bed! :D

I will keep you posted on how things will go. wish me luck! I am going to pick up my babies tomorrow! :D Image

Anton: Keep up the PMA my friend...look at how my "old" eggs did? I had 10 mature, 8 fertilized, 8 on day 3 (2-11cells, 2-9 cells, 3-8 cells, 2 7 cells) and day 5 I had 3 BEAUTIFUL blasts...3 nice looking morulas and 2 less nice looking morulas. And mine are OLD!!! You are still so young my friend. LOL.

And, actually, I kinda wished they let me call or would have given me a call as they have it planned with you. I just had it scheduled. I arrived an hour early because I was so nervous--and was sitting in the wrong section so she called me on my cell phone 5 min after my ET time to see where I was! I felt like a ninny--but I had signed in and no one told me to go across the hallway...anyway, I didn't know how many until the RE came in!! The nurses that checked my bladder didn't know..it was really stressful having to wait until literally THE LAST MINUTE to know how many I had to transfer. I figured if I had none they would have called me, but you know me--and most every other IVF woman--I was totally worried until he walked in and told me.

Hang in there!! Try to visualize a nice cozy uterus for your embie/s to implant in...tomorrow is such a special day!!! I am so happy for you.

AFM: Hey ladies...if anyone has any advice for me regarding my RE saying ok to STOP my progesterone and estogen, please let me know. I am terrified to do so. He said because I have developed a rash and my levels are "super high anyway" that I will be fine without the support, but I am worried to do so. Believe me, the rash is no big deal. I would paint myself purple if that would help my embies stick!!! Has anyone heard of it being ok to stop estrogen and progesterone this early, despite what your levels are? I am only 4w2d. Even when I had OHSS and was in the hospital with very high levels of everything, I kept on my E2 patch (at the time) and PIO shots until it was confirmed ectopic.

Should I call back and ask to keep going at just lower dose? Anyone heard of doing this?

Margi i dont have answers on that one. I think you should just call and see what the nurse says. I remember my last mc i was told to stop my progesterone after my second beta coz my numbers were real high. I was told the placenta takes over from there. Now that is all i remember. I would just call for peace of mind. or wean yourself off slowly instead of just stopping all of a sudden.

Margi, I can't say about the estrogen as I know not every woman is on it - progesterone yes. You could always cut back the progesterone to half of what you take or every other day and have them check levels again in a week rather than to go cold turkey. But it is true that you may be producing plenty of hormones on your own.

Anton... PMA girlfriend... I am crossing fingers and praying that you have a few good embies at least for tomorrow's transfer! I am confident it will work out!!!

Ok... I'm burnt out from the computer, so NO one have any dramatic news this weekend, as I really don't want to get on, much less come back Monday to 20 new pages to read! LOL I may check in tomorrow just to find out how many beautiful blasts Anton has, but other than that.....

Margi- Thank you for the support my friend! I so much appreciate it! The reason I am worried most is not about my eggs but about my DH sperm! We never had more than day 3 transfer or embies monitoring further than day 3 and the sperm brings all its dna and stuff on day3 to the embies so I am worried if there's something wrong with them...more than it is. my RE told me the other day that my DH's sperm count and morphology and motility are seriously low and there are no promises for day 5 actually he said we are in a serious situation here and if none of the embies make it to day 5 then there must a be a genetic problem to them which it can't be fixed. That's why I am worried! He put thoughts in my mind that of all the days I 've picked up the night b4 ET to think of them! Bammer! But thank you anyway! I know that me worry doesn't going to change anything or make anything happen faster so i might as well get back to my PMA and start thinking positive again! after all, I am going to find out about what happend in 11 1/2 hrs!

CjinNC- thank you too for the support my friend!!! I hope all your wishes on me work!! and thank you so much for checking up on me! This feels good! Thank you! :D

Leora - firstly I feel like such a dick! When I was catching up on news on this board last night, I must have skipped the page about your bleeding. So sorry for sounding like a heartless b****. I was so relieved to hear that your babies are doing just fine. The bleeding must have given you a huge scare. Be super selfish and take it very easy. Your babies are going to stick, stick, stick. :D

Anton - I'll be thinking of you today. Keep up the great PMA. I'm sure you're going to have some lovely 5-day embies ready to transfer today. 5-day embies have an increased chance of sticking. :)

Margi - I can't wait to hear you beta next Tues, and u/s the week.

Lou - great to hear everything is ticking along nicely.

Kynlee - I'll be thinking of you too. Take it easy over the next few days.

Anyway folks, time to go do some housework. I hate housework.
