tasha- good to hear that you and aubrey are doing well. or atleast better from the RSV... it's hard to beleive that the babies are going to be 9 months old... we are trying to pick a date for the bday party as there is SO much that weekend... my oldest DS's bday is the 30th, memorial day, graduations, and a ton of other things.. i did find some really cute stuff at factory card .... it's the cutest boy stuff i've seen... do not know about girl stuff, as i really didn't pay attention... sounds like a great vacation planned... we are trying to figure out where we are going to go this year.... not sure yet

well.... keep in touch, and stay warm... they say maybe the 30ies by sunday, but more snow... i feel like we have had a ton of snow, and a ton for REALLY cold weather this winter..

TAsha--glad to hear from you! I'm so sorry to hear that Aubrey had RSV. Yuck. That stuff scares me. I'm glad you caught it in time. She's crawling???Yeah!!! CAn you post a video on the bucket? I'd love to see her in action. The vacation sounds fun. ( I can't imagine we'll be doing too much traveling with our two this summer, but we will head to the family cottage at Lake Erie a few times, I'm sure. ) So, what are you doing for her 1st b-day? I can't wait to hear! I'm glad she's sleeping through the night for you...she's made you wait a while, hasn't she? I hope you're able to catch lots of zzzzz's now!

Colleen--Gavin's still a night owl, huh? :) If it makes you feel any better, my two (who'd been sleeping through the night at 11 weeks) have been waking up many nights lately--between their ear infections and teeth. Something was always bothering them. 6 teeth? WOW! That's amazing! Are you still bfing? ouch....I bet he'll be walking soon. You'll have to post a video. I can't wait to see him in action! I'll keep my eye on the bucket. We have new pics there too...

As for us, Ellie does have her two bottom teeth (well, they've cut through, but they're not real big yet.), and she's crawling everywhere and trying to pull up on sofas and chairs. She gets VERY frustrated with herself at times. :? Braeden is still "skydiving", and he will scoot backwards every once-in-a-while. You can tell he really wants to move with his sister, but he's just not there yet. (which shocks me, cause I always thought he'd be the first to move...) He doesn't have any teeth yet, but I SWEAR his two bottom ones have to come soon. I can see them there just throbbing! On a funny note, Braeden has discovered his extra "part" and just loves finding it every bathtime! It's pretty funny how he giggles at this "surprise!" :D :D

We are having some trouble with naptime, all of a sudden. Now that Ellie can pull up, she'd rather keep an eye on her brother than sleep. And he keeps rolling around to watch her. We just moved their matresses down a couple notches, so I"m hoping that once the "novelty" of the new view of each other passes, then we can get back to napping like we used to do so well... :x

Hope the rest of you are well. UPdate us when you can.

kim- the pictures are so cute.... they are two cute kids... i posted a couple of pictures... have not gotten a video posted yet... our computer is messed up (and i'm married to a computer guy) we actually may need to get a new one, and DH does not skimp on techy stuff.... not looking forward to that.. by the way... still am BFing and he has only bit a couple of times, and i screamed, and scared the heck out of him, and he started crying... but it hurt.. i think that gave him the clue not to bite... we are still trying the cups, gave up on a bottle now... he'll do an once or so but not enough to skip a BFing. I NEVER thhought that i would be BFing when he is 9 months (thats next thursday)

it's funny that each kids is totally different at their milestones... even when they are twins... my 3 DSs were all different.. some where quicker at one thing and slower at others... it's amazing that they are growing so fast!!

take care, and i'll try and get a video of him and his push toy... he just discovered what it's made for...he shreeks in delight to walk/move it..

Colleen--he's adorable! I love his big smile! We have one of those push toys too. I really don't know when to start using it. Since Ellie's pulling up, I could probably try it with her and just walk behind her. As for her brother, he's moving, but I'm not sure how? (that sounds bad, huh?) I was changing Ellie tonight while Braeden was playing in the living room (totally in my view). While I was literally wrestling with Ellie to get her pj's on (dang, she's STRONG!), he moved somehow to another toy several feet away. I'm assuming he rolled, but I didn't see it. I hope he shows me more skills like that tomorrow!

Hello all. Have just looked on photobucket and saw our cute little bunch. Ellie is so cute crawling and i love Braeden in the background desperatly trying to join his sister.
Gavin looks so big now, i cant believe he is nearly walking, where does the time go????

We are fine Izzy has her 2bottom teeth and they seemed to come with little pain however her top 2 are on there way i can see them but she is suffering this time and constantly has a wet chin. She enjoys rolling from one side to another but not moving far. We have just got ourselves a new puppy which she loves she squeels with delight when she sees him and desperatly wants to get him but at the moment she is out of reach. I have had to stop bfing because my thyroid problems have returned and i am back on medication, i cant believe how upset this made me. She doesnt seem to like her milk and only takes about 5 ounzes 4x a day, she enjoys her food but again i dont think she eats enough! ( I always swore i wouldnt be a parent who was paranoid how much there child ate but i guess i am), she is growing well and is fit and healthy so i guess she is fine. Our weather has just started to change and we can finally go out in thin jumpers or just tshirts it makes life so much easier. We havent had any snow this year just heavy frosts.
I will pop a photo on photobucket. Keep well all it was good to read about what you have all been up to.

Ellie--nice to hear from you. I checked out your pics...Izzy's a doll. I feel your pain about the teeth. It's rough, some days. Kudos to you, you brave lady....you got a puppy????? Wow, that's as much work as a baby. Hope it's not keeping you up at night. :)

hi there girls... we are ok... Gavin has cut 3 or the 4 top teeth.. we are waiting for the last one to break... he was up in so much pain last night... very little sleep... but has slept more today during the day... i'm hopeing that they cut and we can move on...

ellie- izzy is so cute.... too bad about the teeth.. i think that we are all in the same boat there....teeth teeth everywhere.... sorry to tell you, for us, the top took way longer then the bottoms.... hope that is not the case for you guys... no snow, wow... here we have had so much snow, we might break the record for snow fall this winter.... we are waiting for the tshirt weather... can not wait to go outside and not have to put on the heavy coat, hats, mittens, blankets, ect.... we want spring to be here now!!! do not worry about the foods... and sorry to hear that you had to stop BFing... well, bfing is not that great when they have all the teeth... Gavin sometimes will forget he has all those teeth, and take a quick bite, and not a good thing...i'm glad that he doesn't do it all the time...

kim-we have the wrestlings matches all the time it's amazing how they can do a tuck and roll right out of the pjs.. and we have to try again... Gavin loves to be naked, so he would really rather have nothing on anyway... have you figured out how braeden is moving around? does he go on all 4's or just hang out on his tummy? I had put gavin over the boppy on his tummy to play... his feet one side and arms on the other, so his belly was on the pillow.... the next day he was on all 4's... i think that the pillow and putting him like that, gave him the go to try and crawl... otherwise some kids do not crawl... my nephew did not crawl... he rolled, then walked at 13 months...

well, take care all.... have a good day

Colleen--that's a good idea with the Boppy pillow. I don't think we'll need to go that route...yet....Braeden started rolling around a ton about a week ago. Just yesterday he started trying to get up on all fours and rock (which is exactly what Ellie did before crawling). So, I have a feeling in about 2 weeks, he'll be moving forward . (Oh, he does scooch backwards on his tummy....so he can move around! ) Sorry to hear about the teeth. Braeden is still trying to cut his bottom two. They are so flippin close!

We went to a twin playdate today.....did not go well......

:( what went wrong on the play date..?? i take my kids to a parent tot program... we went today, and there were so many kids there, and it was crazy... i think that everyone is stir crazy and has cabin fever...well, needless to say there were two little boys there that are trouble every week, and today was no different... one of them hit Gavin, and the other poured rice over Cadens head... (they have a rice table, and use it kind of like a sand table... but not as messy) so maybe your playdate was just a case of cabin fever??

did you know the twins, or was it someone that you met through a twins club? hopfully it will go better next time.. and the kids do not start actually playing together untill they are 2 or older... so you have time.. hang in there...

you'll have to video braeden when he gets it... i love the all 4's rock... and teeth are soon, i hope.... it seems to take forever!!

Yeah, we have cabin fever for sure...as for the playdate, I think it was a combination of things. First of all, I met these girls through my local twins club. They're very nice, and the hostess was so sweet to invite so many twins into her home! The kids were all nice--yeah, they grabbed things from my kids (which did surprise Ellie and Braeden, for sure!), but that's to be expected from toddlers, I think. The playdate was scheduled for 10 o'clock and was supposed to last an hour or more, if we wanted to stay. Well, 9:30 is our usual naptime, so I had a feeling we'd have problems. The kids napped on the way there (about 30 minutes), so I thought I might have some fussiness, but I had no idea! We were the first ones there, which was good, so my kids had time to adjust and get used to their surroundings. But when all the other kids got there, I think my kids were in "overload". Yeah, they're used to being around other kids at the sitters, but there were 8 kids and 4 moms in a big playroom (with LOTS of noise). Since my two were tired, I think the situation just set them off. The other moms were very understanding, and they tried to get me to stay, so I would take turns holding one crying baby at a time, hoping the other one would settle down....but no luck. [At one point, poor Ellie was just crawling around the room screaming...I felt horrible!] I finally gave up and took them home. Ellie and Braeden were both asleep by the end of the driveway.

I'll be the first to admit that my kids don't get to socialize in "normal" situations as much as other babies their age. Between my work schedule and the "challenge" of taking two babies out at a time, we just don't get to be with other babies as much as I'd like. I"m trying to work on that. I even took the day off today to do this! :? Thank goodness our SAturday swim lessons are not like this!

I'm sure if we'd had a good nap, things would have been different. I'll take them to the next one...hopefully better rested!

I did take some video today, but it's not that clear, so I'll try again tomorrow.

Sorry to hear the tot program was crazy for you---spring has to come soon, right??????

kim- sorry it was not so good... hope that next one will be better, after a normal nap..... there is time, do not worry if your kids are not social lights yet... just by being at the sitters with other kids is good... and yes toddlers grab stuff.... i tried to teach mine to "trade" with the baby.... babies are easily entertained ...they soon will be taking things from each other.... then it's a whole new game.. it's fun

you know that they are tired when they fall asleep that fast.... how do you get the twins in and out of the car?? that has got to be difficult... maybe it should get better when they can walk or at least stand.. do not blame youself for not taking them out.. it's difficult, i can only imagine... things will fall more into place, as they learn to walk and can do more things..

i just can not wait for the spring... i want to take walks, and bike rides and go swimming... i can not wait to throw gavin in the pool (not for real, just for him to get in)... so jealous that you have swim lessons... soon spring will be here i hope, soon... i checked our bike helmets to see if one will fit gavin, and we have one.... i love to ride bikes there are so many trails and paths around us... .there is a great one around a bunch of lakes...

well, have a great day...

Yeah, Colleen, getting them in/out of the car is quite a game, for me! I usually have no choice (when I'm at the sitters or when I was at the playdate) to take one kid in at a time. Both babies are pretty patient about this fact in their lives. I'm hoping that once they can walk, it'll be easier, but who knows...then they might start running off on me in opposite directions!

Spring cannot come soon enough. :?

hi there everyone... it seems so quite...

well Gavin has cut all the top 4 teeth, and he is trying to take a step, with no real success yet... we had his 9month checkup and things are looking good.. he was 29 1/2inches and 20lbs 4oz.... growing good, not as heavy , i guess that he is thinning out with all his moving around...he still has a big head tho... i also got the reluctant ok to try a cup of milk a day... hopeing that there will be an alternative to bfing once in a while.. he will not take formula and water is not to filling and juice, he is really not that find of... so we'll see.. i would like to be able to leave him, and not worry that i'll have to run home to bf him..

doc also said that we can cut the night time feedings.... i was like (i'd love to... but i do not think that gavin is ready to do that,) and i'd rather not wake the complete house up... so i think that i'll still feed him once at night... i do not feed him every time that he wakes, but we are up forever (a good 1&1/2 hours) most of the time when he does wake...., and if i do not feed him it's longer... there will come a day that i will get sleep... it can not come soon enough... i told doc that he can come deal with gavin as i proceed not to feed him when he wants to feed... i think that bfing is also harder to stop the feeds..... as i pick him up, and he associates that with feeding..... what ever....

kim- i hope that the kids are easier to get out of the car when they are older.... i always made the one stay in the car, unbuckled while i unbuckled the other... then climb out at the same time, on the same side... that way one can not just run off while your busy with the other.... it worked for my different aged kids, might work for you, later when they are a bit older... how was swimming last week?? i still can not wait for spring... Easter is a couple of weeks away, and we are still cold, and they have us for more snow today!!!

well i hope that everyone is doing well, and the little ones are growing big... take care

Colleen--Yeah on the good checkup! Good luck with stopping the nighttime feed. I have to admit, since I stopped bfing long ago, I'm kindof glad to not have to wean when they can put up a fight. :? I hope he cooperates with ya!

You'll never believe this, but Braeden FINALLY cut his first bottom tooth today. It's taken Flippin' forever! Ellie has her two bottoms and I think a top is coming in, but she won't let me see.

Swimming went great last week. Our last class for this session is Saturday, but we might have to miss it. Ellie is SICK SICK SICK....again....I hate daycare. They only go 1 or 2 times a week, but they pick up stuff all the time. Even when I bfed them. I might have to take her to the doc tomorrow cause I'm getting paranoid that it might be turning into RSV? She's not wheezing, but it doesn't sound good.

AS for the quiet around here...are you getting notified of when people post? I haven't been. I just happened to click on here to see if anyone was on...I found your post by accident! What gives on that?

as for getting notified... that stopped a while back... i just usually check when i'm logged on... i think that might be why it has been so quiet and people are just not looking, and not getting notified.

sorry to hear that ellie is sick, and you guys keep getting sick...hope that it is NOT RSV... that is not good... one of my kids got it, and was in the hospital.... knock on wood gavin has had one cold, that's it, other then his GERD and LACK OF SLEEP.... my neighbor has the same problem.. they actually asked if i would watch their baby, to keep him out of daycare....

sorry that you might miss the last swimming session.. maybe she'll get better quick.. are you going to do the swimming again?? i've signed up for a baby/mommy music class... just gavin and i... it's going to be during Cadens preschool... it should be fun.... i've taken the class with my other guys, and it's fun...

oh i forgot.... YEAH for braeden..... finally a tooth.... is he better, or still crabby from the other one?? Gavin cut his, but i think that his gums are still sore... he hates when i touch them, and pulls aways..

well, take care and i hope that ellie gets better and braeden does not get sick...
