Apas are antiphosholipic Acids.. can have along tyhe same kind of effect as killercells and i guess cpmbind with kiler cels are really bade.

IVIG is a blood product originally used or transplant patients .. helps you not reject the embyros

Kas Mayan uterine massage is to help blood flow to the uterus and make sure it is in the correct position etc.. Look it up on tline there is a website that will aslo be alble to direct you to practicioners in your area. There are many tyhat claim it also helps w PCOS and other things..

Well on a non PG note.. they finally delivered the shelves for our bar 12 weeks late and they are all wrong .. so frustating i am going to kill the decorator

Happy Friday!

It's so nice reading all of your stories and questions. I'm learning a lot.

[/b]To Have Fun - Have fun at Kentucky Lake! I haven't been 4-wheeling in years. That sounds like a good time. Oh, and I love your grandmother's advice. She sounds like a wise woman. :D

mrscutter - You had some good questions about exercise. I'm glad you asked because I was wondering too. I do some light jogging with my dog on the weekends but usually don't feel up to it when I'm heavy into the stimming and feeling all bloaty. I keep hearing yoga is good but haven't tried it yet.

Adjec - Congrats on all of the follies! Hope you are able to make an easy decision about how many to transfer. It seems most centers won't allow for more than 2 per transfer, but I have heard of some that will do more at the patient's consent. The thought of more than 1 or 2 at one time is scary, mainly for health concerns for mom and babies. Good luck and will wait to hear more!

NY4thtry - Thanks for the advice on diet/lifestyle habits. I may look into the extra vitamin supplements. I've been taking the prescription prenatals for several years now, but sure they are lacking in some areas. I'm reading a book right now, The Infertility Cure, and it mentions herbal supplements as well. I see an acupuncturist for the first time next week and am curious to see what she recommends.

Karen - Hope you are feeling better. This whole process is such a roller coaster of emotions. The hormone meds don't help either. I feel like I could cry at the drop of a hat sometimes. I was invited to a co-worker's baby shower yesterday and really had to make myself go. I wasn't sure if I could sit through another one and watch everyone ooh and ahh over all the cute baby gifts and PG mom while I just want a chance at what that feels like. Not to get you down again, just letting you know I can sympathize. I hope the weekend will cheer you up! And thanks for the positive thoughts. I'm still waiting to hear if I start the stims tonight, but as of yesterday, that was the plan. It's a megadose!

Happy Friday everyone!

Well...really still having a lot of discomfort from the ER. I went to the DR today to have them check me out. I have some fluid built up but not enough to go in and remove. But they'll continue to watch me, especially after transfer when hyperstimulation would most likely occur.

DH said today that he really thinks we should just transfer 1. I know that he's probably right...we really do not want twins. But it's also hard knowing that we are really reducing our chance at PG this cycle. We will definitely have several frozen, so we have them as an option in the future...but without insurance and this all coming out of our pocket, cost is a huge factor.

Sigh... I'm hoping to have a nice quiet weekend to decide. Happy weekend to all!

I have an update, my surgery went well and I am on track to start IVF in a couple of weeks. They think they were just blood clots from where my twins had attached to the uterine wall. YAHOO!! My miscarriage bloodwork came back and something turned up, MTHFR heterozygote, this is a gene that makes my blood clot and I have a hard time converting or metabolizing B6, B12 and folate so I am on megadoses, not perscription doses. I also was thinking of taking baby asprin to thin my blood but the doc didn't sy anything about that. Anyway, I have to admit I have 9 pages to read up on. Perhaps I will do so after I wake up from the anestesia a bit more. Hope you all are doing great and getting positive results, I hope to be right behind you.

not hopeless yet I live in the North Shore area... In Lynn to be specific. I think with my insurance I am going to have to go to the clinics they have a contract with. What insurance do you have? I now have Harvard Pilgrim HMO. I guess what sucks is the HMO part because I know if i didnt have an HMO then I would be able to go anywhere.

Ny4th No uterine massage in Indiana but thanks for the lead anyway - it looks very interesting and i would probably investigate if there as a local practitionner...

To Have Fun Have a great time on your vacation - we will miss you (and i really mean that) but make sure you do everything you wont be able to for the next 9 months!!!

Gina sounds like you will be starting soon!!! keep us updated

ajdec sorry you are in pain still, you did the right thing seeing the RE and i'm sure they will monitor you closely. As for only transferring 1, go with your gut reaction. As for the money, FET's are so much cheaper and less stressful then IVF and you will have plenty on ice!!!

Babyhope1 Great news on the surgery. Even better that they discovered the cause of your m/c, which means they can prevent it from happening again. I' been reading a book all about issues like immune/gene issues that cause m/c and prevent implantation which often we never know the reaon for, so diagnosis and appropriate treatment is awesome. You will have such a great chance.....

Jenn How did you salpingectomy go? I know i felt bad for a few days afterwards - its the walking around and getting up that hurts, so i'm thinking of you.... Let us know how you are feeling when you are up to it

hi ladies, chris- i hope you have a wonderful time 4 wheeling at kentucky lake...sounds like a blast from the past to me :D . wish my plans were as exciting.

ajdec- hope you're doing well and are relaxed coming up to ET. i'm sure you'll come to your right decision about how many embies...listen to your heart and guts (and DH of course too)

gina- sounds like we're stimming closely together..i start day3 of AF..what meds are you on? i wonder if we're similar protocals. are you a low responder too?

wonder- sorry to hear about the baby shower, i imagine that was hard for you. i expect to be invited to one soon myself- someone i was briefly pregnant with before my m/c..i really dont' want to see her either, and can't stand the though of trying to be publicly happy for her. although i know this is selfish; it's just where i'm at.

babyhope- i shifted you on the update board- assumed when you said you were starting, it meant stims. let me know otherwise. we'll be stimming around the same time too :D

welcome rosario. i recognize your name from before too. hopefully we'll all be blessed this time round together.

robin..i get that depression you talked about. i had a couple rough days, but after having a real good cry with some work friends (unfortunately at the office), i feel much better and 'sane' again.

hello to everyone else out there...sloan, NY, chenry, kas, jdc...and whoever else i missed.

oh ya- here's a nice 'note' after my very pissy day i had 2 days ago- bawled my eyes out at work..felt sorry for myself and like i wanted to crawl into a hole, went out for chinese food with work friends, didn't want to take a fortune cookie cause i figured i had no 'fortune', eventually took one anyways, and it said 'children will plan an important role in your life...whoda thunk it?

Hello ladies,
I hope I can join this thread?
I start my protocol next week, ER 10/29 and ET first week of Nov, I hope we all get a BFP :D , My insurance only covers 1 IVF per life time, so I'm hoping this works, we will freeze all others just in case and pick up my insurance at the first of the year that covers 6 attempts, I'm hoping 1 and done.
I'm very anxious and scared.
My period has been surpressed by BCP for over 1 month now, my RE told me to take 1 baby asperin about 3 wks ago and now my stomach is always cramping and brownish discharge, does anyone know what this can be? I'm scared, I have my Baseline US on 10/13, will discuss with my RE.

Again, good luck to all you ladies and I look forwarded to sharing addtional information with you ladies if thats ok?
