Just a quick update:Yesterday the nurse called us and said they were able to freeze 3 embies, I expected more but nothing we can do

Now just waiting and waiting... Went on Lunch to CVS and got 3 hpts

I want to feel something, anything, but nothing

Neffi211- I had my ER this morning too. They got only 13 eggs for me, I was hoping for more. I am just praying that a good # get fertilized. I am also taking tylenol- I think the worst part for me was the IV- the nurse had trouble and had to stick me twice. Anyway- I am resting today- a little sore like you.

All- Anyone have stats on # of eggs retrieved v/s fertilized, what would be an average? Just trying to figure out what to expect from call from lab in the am with the report.

Thanks- good luck to all in what you face today with your cycle- injections, cramps, mood swings, stress, etc....

faith77 - I think 13 is a decent number. A lot of women can endo up with more, but they're not all mature. I had 13 as well, although I was expecting less. Out of the 13, 9 of mine fertilized (we used ICSI). I think they say to expect around half to fertilize. I ended up with two to use now and two to freeze. Good luck with ET!

Faith-- glad to hear your ER went well also. I was always told to hope for 70% fert. THat is not our case. I am hoping that of the ones we dont ICSI to get 2. Usually our ICSI embies dont grow very well so I will just have to wait and see.

faith77 .. great !!! so now when do you think is your ET ..
estrellita ..I think you are too early to get any symptoms ..

AFM ..These prgesterone shots are killing me ..my rear is sooo sore

It feels as if the whole area has become hard ..people say alternating sides help but by the time it's time to switch that previous spot is still so sore ... so it doesn't matter wether u alternate or not ..
I am also taking doxycycline( twice a day ) and medrol( once aday ) .. Did any of u take them before ET ?? my last dose is on saturday ..I am not a big med fan and was thinking what if it's harmful for the embryo ..

Estrellita, so happy that you are doing well. You prob shouldnt feel too many sx for some time. Im really hoping it works out for you, and if not you have 3 more embies which is awesome!

Faith 03, sorry about the soreness. Is there a reason why they didnt just give you the progesterone suppositories. I asked my nurse yesterday why some people get shots and others get suppositories and she said they generally like to start out with the vaginal stuff before the shots. Any reason why they started you with shots?

Eve, statsgoddess, Faith77: so happy about your progress. Keep us posted!

AFM, went to the clinic yesterday for my suppression check. Well, im all suppressed and the US looked good but they are not having me start the stims until this Saturday (continuing Lupron 10 until then). The nurse said that they have to stagger their patients so as not too many come in on any given day so the earliest I could start the stims would be sat. I was really looking forward to starting them yesterday but oh well. A few days wont hurt either way. I feel so far behind you guys.

faith 03- I took a doxycycline last night w/ dinner- and today they had anitbiotics in my IV bag that will stay in my system a few days. I asked about the doxycycline for today and tomorrow b/c they always gave it to me after my IUI's that is how I know that antbiotics were in the drip. I wouldn't worry about the meds they seem to be a standard- also I start taking Medrol tonight for 5 days

Faith 77-- just to warn you...the medrol is disgusting! It tastes horrible. Even taking it with Juice doesnt work for me....I actually wrap it is BREAD!!!!! Good Luck!

I started doxycycline a day before my ER and it's for seven days and so is medrol..
Neffi.. u r soo right .. it has the most horrible taste .. it even smells yucky .....
I don't know why they did this but the nurse said it's what they do with all their patients

The nurse explained that the medrol helps the body recognize the embryos as our own and not a foreign object and try to purge them. That made the horrible taste more bearable. Heck if it would've helped I would've taken it until beta.

Girls any tips ??? tell me the dos and don'ts before and after it and by saying bedrest what does it exactly mean like not moving at all?? for how many days ???? advices please
