Hi all,

I'm getting ready to head to the clinic to see if my increased dose is actually accomplishing anything. I just have a ? for those of you who have some experience at this. If this dose didn't work, then at what point will they just decide to jump ship and cancel my cycle? I mean I don't want them giving me larger and larger doses just to compensate for the fact that they oversuppressed me. It seems like that couldn't possibly have a very good outcome. What is the max. number of days they can keep you on stims?

As much as I don't want to cancel, it almost seems like it would be better to cancel and start with the right protocol next time rather than to try to fix things now. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm worrying too much. What normally happens when someone isn't responding. How long do they keep trying to make a go of it?

Sorry if I'm driving everyone crazy with questions. I can't seem to get straight answers from anyone at the clinic. I even had DH ask one of the nurses what would happen if things don't improve on this dose and all she would say to him is "there are other options". Like WHAT?!

Guess I'd better get moving.

Hope everyone is doing well today.

Hi everyone,

I just got back from the clinic and this time they did a scan in addition to bloodwork. I won't get results from the bloodwork back until this afternoon but the scan was good news. They saw 17 follies; all about 10 mm each. :) I'm assuming that means my estrogen level must have moved up?

Tania,

Just wanted to say good luck with your EC tomorrow!

Regarding the sex issue, I was sort of wondering how we're supposed to work that whole thing as well since we don't know well enough in advance when the EC will be to really time it.

Gem,

Haven't seen anything from you in a long time. Hope you are ok.

Thanks Staci

I am sort of nervous and excited at the same time about the EC. I am going for a meal tonight with a couple of friends to stuff my face with Italian,

We decided to abstain as we didn;t want to use 'it' all up!

Hi all,

Pretty quiet on here today. Just got lab results; estrogen has increased to 247 and they seemed happy with that improvement. I have to stay on the higher dose and go back in Sat. morning. Despite the pounding headache I've had all day, I'm actually in a pretty positive mood now. If things keep moving along they think I'll still be ready for EC sometime next week (something new for me to panic about)!

Hope everyone is getting along ok today.

Hello Girls
Well so much has been happening in the last few day I still havn't caught up with all the news .
Well things are going ok now, I had a couple of rough days I,m a week in to the 2ww test next friday .On Tuesday evening I start will bad lower stomach pains and my stomach was enormous I tried to call the clinic but couldn't get hold of anybody (which with partly my fault ) Anyway I was worried because we was suppose to be going to Prague for 3 days holiday at 7am the next morning .Well we call the emergency Doctor at 12 oclock and he told me he thought I was alright and if I was really worried to go to A&E I didn't feel like going there I feel so cold and did not feel like sitting A&E for hours. the next morning I went to see my local Doctor and cancelled the holiday he was very good but could not really tell me anything ,just rest and take the rest of the 2ww of work ( i was going to go back next week ) when I came out the clinic had rang and I spoke to them and the nurse was great she said it was just the side affects of the drugs she made me feel alot better
I was a pitty about the holiday but I don,t think we would have enjoyed it and we can go to Prague anytime this is more important
Just relaxing now and DH is looking after me
Hope all goes well tomorrow Trace
Hows things going Gem ?
Best wishes to everybody sorry I need to do some catching up
Love Suexx

hi all - just wanted to update you as to where i am... once again, they don't know. my betas have doubled in 2 days, but only from 14 to 28. they say they need 50 to say you are definitely pregnant - i should be in the hundreds by now (4 days late). the dr. said it COULD just be a slow starter, but I think she isn't really that optimistic. I test again on Tues (mon is a holiday here). So, i guess i've done everything i can now, i just have to see if the little guy is going to stick around or not. still, this is far further than we've gotten before.

Take care all,

Jaye.

Sue,

Hope you are feeling better today. It sounds like a moderate form of OHSS but I guess your Dr. would have told you if that was the case?

Jaye,

I'm sure you've done plenty of research on the net about this yourself by now but I did find the below website which talks about HCG levels on how wide the range can be in pregnancy. Your number looks to be within the lower range. It states the number isn't near as important as the fact that it is doubling....so here's hoping!

http://www.birth.com.au/class.asp?class=6620&page=8#

Traci,

That'd be great to be on the 2 ww together. It seemed like everyone else was going to be though the 2 ww and off the board by the time I finally got there!

Hello Girls
many thanks for the messages I,m feel good to day and very postive :)
I colleague came from work to visit today and brought a huge bouquet of flowers from all the people I work with ( only one friend there knows why I,m off the rest I have just been vauge with, my boss is a man so I only have to mention gynaecologist on he does not want to know any more which is great for me because I don't want to tell anybody at work ) but I did feel a bit guilty when the flowers arrived

Trace
Great news it looks like everything is going fine I sure time will fly by too EC it did for us ,it was just after that it slowed down .Our Donor had EC on Monday and I had ET on Thursday, have they told you it would be Wednesday I just wonder so you will not be surprised if its a day later (sorry i,m forgetting you have being here before )

Amithis
Thanks for your message the doctor didn't think it was OHSS after I told him It was a donor egg, no stims you see ,the clinic said it was just the progenova and the pesserries to drink lots of water and rest
so sat in the garden today it great weather :)
Bye for now

Hi

Having my 1st negative day :( , was feeling ok up til now but feel really pre menstural today, just that 'heavy feeling' you get before you come on, oh well at least I did almost a week of +ve thoughts.
I seem to have lost Gem! Where are you hun? worried about you! Have your pains gone :? etc etc.
Sue25, glad you are doing ok now, these drugs do wierd things to our bodies
Staci, glad to hear things are moving along nicely now.
Jaye, still hoping for ya! If the levels are doubling surely it means you are going in the right direction, I assume you dont have any sign of af?
Traci, glad your scan went ok.
Not feeling very cherpy :( so will go before I depress anyone!
