Mia- I am sooooo happy to hear about ur 9 embies. Congratulations!!! UR ET will be on 29th right (5 day transfer)? Good luck dear :)

Rittie- Cngratulations!!! Its a fantastic news... :D

At my end, I was not able to sleep properly yesterday. I woke up couple of times and was feeling nervous not knowing what will happen. In the morning when we didn't get call till 9am, I was getting too worried. We were about to call them when nurse called. They said all my 6 eggs were mature. Out of 6 eggs, 5 fertilized  I am very happy!!!

We will be doing a Day 3 transfer in my case. So my ET will be on 28th, if everything goes as planned.

Thanks for ur prayers and wishes. I think about all of you in my prayers.

Well I broke down and did an HPT and it was negative. I know everyone says wait until the beta, but I have read tons of posts and when the HPT is negative, so is your beta.

I'm truly happy for everyone who has got their BFP's, its just really hard to realize once again my hope of having a baby is gone. Everyone here is so special and deserves to be mothers.

My DH and I will have to look at our financial situation, since we pay out of pocket for everything. Not sure how soon I will be able to try again if at all. Sorry to be such a downer on such a positive board.

Thanks for listening.

Shapooh- I am totally ignoring your 1st paragraph! I refuse to allow you to give up hope. It's not over! Let your bloodwork be the confirmation. C'mon--pick your head up and keep thinking positive thoughts. Stay strong!

Champa--good luck with your et. I was day 3 also! Having your bladder full is the worst! I must have peed for 3 minutes straight afterwards!

Alicia, Alicia, Alicia! What are you thinking  It's not over till the RE says it's over. Ignore the evil HPT, there's a reason why the RE waits 2 weeks for a beta, it's because they will not get the correct results if it's done too early. never mind that other people get a negative HPT and beta. I think those evil HPTs make people worry for no good reason. My nurse told us in the begining, always think positive, believe you will be (are) pregnant. If you worry, your body produces a hormone that can make bad things happen. Be positive!!! I know I am positive that you are pregnant! Please continue with your shots, do what the RE says and wait till your beta. Pleeeeeease, do it for us, if not for yourself :D . I am looking forward to hearing your good news :D :D

Champa, I am so excited for you. I'll be sending good baby vibes to you on Monday. My Re does 5 and 6 day transfers. I think it depends on the condition of my embryos and my endometrium quality for him to decide. I hope to know tomorrow when he calls me. I know it will either be the 29th or 30th. I hope it will be Tuesday, I can't wait to have them inside me!
It's so close now! It seems like just yesterday we we're all talking about how huge our meds package was and wondering how painful the shots we're going to be. I can't believe we're days away from being pregnant. That's how I think of it. The second those little ones are placed in my womb, I am pregnant. Even though they are not inside me yet, I embrace the little ones in spirit and love them as my babies.

Hello Rittie and welcome. Congrats on your BFP! :D

Alicia- Hopefull in LV is right. Along with the other posts you have read there were many posts that had girls taking the HPT's that showed up negative only to find out they were positive. HPT's are not great quality and can only pick HCG levels when it is high enough. That is why they say wait to a missed period even before taking an HPT. The early responders (if you look closely, it says it is only like 45% effective when taken early). If you took one today you are TOO early.

Even with me, they did not know I was pregnant until they were able to determine if my numbers doubled. There is sooo much involved with IVF compared to the average person. NO MORE TAKING THEM!!! I ma praying for you and hope you get your dreams.

Girls---I agree, I feel like we were all looking at our delivery boxes in awe and now all of you are at your final stages. We are having a good ending for the month and do not expect anything different from you guys!!!

Lola - I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Don't give up hope yet because you are not out of the race. You may be a turtle but turtles still finish and many times they beat the hare (can you tell that I am a runner :) ). I am rooting for you!

I think I'll be starting my stims around September 1st - September 5th. I have to get my Lupron period which they said would be about 10-11 days after starting Lupron. After I get my period, I will have an ultrasound and a blood test done and based on those results, they'll have me start the stims. So depending on when I get my period, when I get the tests done and the results of the test will determine when I start.

Mia - Congratulations on the 9 fertilized embies. That is awesome. You and the embies are in my thoughts, I wish you all the best. You must be so excited with the transfer coming up soon.

Alicia - Hang in there. Those HPTs are not very accurate. Please wait until you get the results back from the beta. You are not being a downer, we all understand what you are going through.

Champa - Good luck with the transfer on Monday, I will be thinking about you. The 28th is a good day because that is the birthday of my roommate from college (I know it's more than 6 degrees of separation but it should still work :) ).

Wannababy - I think I can say that I am used to the shots. The first day I had the instructions out and it took me much longer than it should have but I was nervous so I took my time. The third day I must not have pinched right because I ended up injecting the Lupron into my muscle. That wasn't such a pleasant feeling but I massaged it in and it was fine after that. Luckily I remembered reading about that from the ladies who are doing the progesterone shots.

I hope the 2ww flies by for you. Prior to starting the IVF, I hated the 2ww because it seemed to just drag by so slowly. Hang in there. Try keeping yourself busy during that time (I know, it's easier said than done). Let's shoot for you getting a BFP and me starting my stims on September 1st.

Malinka - Welcome! I just started Lupron on the 22nd and so far I haven't had any bruising or side effects. The only thing I noticed is that it looks like I have a tiny little bug bite at the site of the shot. As someone else mentioned, just remember to pinch your skin properly and you should be fine. I usually do my shot around 7 pm (the doctor gave me a window between 6pm - 9pm).

Rittie - congrats on your BFP and welcome.

Hi Ladies,

Shapooh- I am so glad to hear you are feeling better today! :)

Here on the east coast, the weather has gotten real crappy real fast. It's about 60 degrees and rainy. I say all of that to mention that I feel like crap today. My head is groggy with a headache and my throat is in the beginning stages of a sore throat. I came home from church today and slept for 2 hours. I actually can use some more sleep. Can these be pregnancy symptoms or do you think I'm getting sick from the weather change? Help!

Hi! I hope you all are having a good weekend :)

Lola, did you have a fun time away? I hope so :D

I got today's update from my RE. We have one very good 8 cell embryo, 4 that are fair but are slower and in the 6 cell stage. He said the others are not as good and have some fragmentation. We are optimistic, all we need is that one good one. He'll be updating me daily, I'm stil waiting to find out about my ET. Hopefully I'll know tomorrow. :)

Champa, how are your embies? any news? Your ET is tomorrow :D! I hope you have a laptop so you can keep in touch during bedrest.

I made up a mantra. It helps keep my mind on the right track :D. You can do it too. Repeat it 10 times in a row with your eyes closed, at least once a day. Even if you're not pregnant yet. It goes like this, "I am a strong pregnant woman. I will give birth to a healthy baby." At the same time picture yourself with a nice round baby bump. It just takes a minute :D

A fast-developing embryo is the best bet in a fresh cycle, given the effects of ovarian stimulation in advancing the endometrium.

Those slightly slower ones are great for FET cycles. The embryos are grown to full blastocyst stage before freezing. The slower ones get an extra day to catch up. That way they are all equally developed at the time of transfer in the FET cycle, and are transferred into a more precisely controlled endometrial environment.

Of course, the fast ones work well in FET cycles too. But the slow ones are not good in fresh cycles.

How is everyone today?

Champa- How was your ET? How are you feeling? Did your bladder feel like it was going to pop?

Hopeful- Have you heard from your doctor regarding your ET? Loving the mantra!

Jemima-I thought you sounded familar. You'll be starting sooner than you know. I have been doing accu since May. I love it!

Shapooh-Tomorrow's the day. How are you doing? I'm thinking positive thoughts for you!

Myhb-It sounds as if Sept 1 is a big day for both of us!

Today I feel a lot better, unlike yesterday. What do you guys think? If I am looking too deeply into this, slap me around a bit. I can take it.

You ladies have been an awesome support! I am so grateful! :D
