Anyone know which hpt requires a level of 40 or 50 to trigger a positive? The test I used only required 25. I had to call them to confirm bc there are websites out there with conflicting info! So i dont trust these self-made websites I'm just curious how high mine is today. I'm so excited for beta tomorrow!!!!!

Krys, I don't have any tricks per se, but I have the same problem. My lining never got above a 7 on trigger day for all of my failed IUI cycles. For IVF, I was switched from Follistim to Menopur and added 4mg oral Estrace to my protocol on day 6. I see you are on day 13 so I'm not sure how fast it will work for you. I would ask, though! My lining went from a 5 on day 6 (then we added Estrace), to a 7 on day 7, 9 on day 9, 12 on day 11 (trigger). I stayed on the Estrace until beta 1, and it worked

Hi Karen - Yeah, it's hard to really find one that has a high sensitivity. With my pregnancy in August, I used a CBE digi and got a "Pregnant" but when I went for my beta an hour later, my beta was only 10. So go figure on their 25 or 50 sensitivity limits. About a year ago, I was getting + on FRER but a "Not Pregnant" on a Walgreen's digital. My beta the next day was 42.5 (chemical pregnancy) so I'm thinking that brand of digi may have had a higher sensitivity to not have it register as pregnant. Maybe others will chime in with some.

I always had lower linings... this cycle... as I was stimming.. I was at my girlfriend's house and I had a drink every day or so with her, beer or wine. I was told it increased blood flow. My lining was at 14 when we triggered. I'm not saying it's okay, I'm saying I tried something different (the only thing different) and that's what happened. We also had a good implantation. (shrug) Don't know if it helps.. but it's what I did.

Sorry not been on for a while.....been spending some time with my family think it's the hormones! I'm nervous and excited just want it to be Thursday, hopefully seeing my scan will help me be a little less anxiuos!!

Can I ask a silly question......my embryo was created on 19th Oct and my ET was 22nd Oct so I would guess I'm 5 weeks pregnant from tomorrow? but my friend says I'm 7 weeks as it counted from when you last period would be sooooo confused!!!????

Hi Amesy - I can't wait until you have your u/s Thursday! There are some due date calculators online for IVF that allow you to put in your egg retrieval date to figure your due date. So using the 19th as your ER date, it says you are 6w6d. (Here's one of the sites with the calculators: http://www.ivf.ca/duedate.php)

Right now I'm just extremely frustrated. I already got the call my E2 level is still way too high. last week it was 134 and now its 125. Great, 9 points in a week, and I need to drop over 60? It is so rediculous. I was told there's nothing they can do except wait. I think that is BS! I have an email to the nurse to ask the DR what to do. Maybe they can change something, maybe I need to change something in the way I eat. I want to know WHY I am having this problem.

Anyways, I'll be back to do personals after I calm myself down. Right now I just cant stop crying. Must be the egstrogen, Grrr!

Sorry to make this quick but I am on my way to get my super awesome second beta - that's what I keep telling myself to keep the PMA, I am so glad you girls here understand how terrifying this all is.

Margi - I imagine it is no walk in the park to get drained. I know yours was way worse, sorry hun. Unfotunately I go to a lab to get results and no one checks me out. I am going to call my nurse and ask her specifics of getting drained. Did your RE drain you? Did you do it at the ER? My care has ended with RE so now I am with OB who is an angel, but he will be out of town and his partner is around. So I want to get specifics because you know what happens when there is a holiday right? no one is around! If it stays this way I can put up with it, I am now up to 10 to 11 lbs of fluid, I look like I am giving birth any minute. How much weight did you gain? If I gain a few more I might have to give in and get drained. Thanks for all your help and let me know if you get the stuff today! thanks Margi!

Hi all - there is SO MUCH going on on this board - and lots of exciting BFPs - congrats Karen and Rio and all the others with baby (or babies) on the way! I've been lurking the past few weeks, well maybe months, and reading up as often as I can so I keep up with where everyone is at. Sorry that I've been relatively silent during that time - just been trying to relax and not stress about IVF.

I'm doing the estrogen priming this cycle so I had to wait an extra few weeks before starting... I did the 'priming' part last week and went in for my 2nd baseline this morning. Excited that I am good to go with my stimming starting tonight - and they upped my gonalf and menopur from last cycle so I am really hoping for a better response!! I go back for my first SNS on Friday morning - ER is tentatively scheduled for 12/3.

Lauren and Tammy - sounds like I'll be close to your cycles - I'm only on #3 but I'm still hoping it will be a lucky one!

Ester, Margie, Karin1 and others that are PUPO - hang in there and keep up the PMA!! You will be BFP soon based on how lucky this board has been so far!

Chelle...I am so sorry. I know that it is so frustrating because I have been going through for a full year without ever making it to transfer. None of the bloodwork ever comes out the way it is supposed to and I get postponed. I truly understand how badly it sucks. I'm glad you are being persistent to find out WHY...as I never have. I wish I had been a little more pushy. Good luck.

Krys...Sorry things aren't like you hoped....seems they never go as planned! Hopefully you just needed a few more days and you will get to move forward.

Leora...I can't wait to hear that your lining is perfect! And I DO NOT want this to move into a winter group, because that will mean I went through winter, spring, summer and fall without a transfer! I can't let that happen! I wanted to chime in on your earlier post about everyone telling you that you have time and you are young. I have been getting that since DH and started TTC. What people don't understand is that if we are having issues at 23, 24 and 25, it isn't like it's going to get any easier as we get older! I wish I could just shut all of my cousins and aunts up that tell me I have plenty of time and I need to enjoy being married before I have kids. ARG! I'm sorry that you have to go through this, but I am glad that you found us for support!

Karen...WOOO HOOO! Congrats!

AFM....I love the waiting game. And what I love more than the waiting game is my insensitive RE(insert MUCH sarcasm). I have a lining check scheduled next monday....but seeing as I always get bad results on my checks, I called and asked RE if I could get an extra US this week just so that I can have a little peace of mind and know that my lining is going int he right direction. I didn't want to rush my FET or anything, just alittle peace is all I was looking for so I could get through the holidays worry free. Well, of course she said NO. I just love her. But on the upside....I only have today and tomorrow of work to get through, then Wednesday I will be getting my mom's house ready for Thanksgiving, then Thursday is Thanksgiving, Friday DH and I cut down a tree and decorate the house, Saturday is my sister's wedding shower, Sunday I get to relax and THAN I AM IN MY FET WEEK!!!! Monday and Tuesday are normal days, Wednesday is Dad's heart surgery, Thursday is FET eve and then FET day! I have sooo much to keep my mind occupied and hopefully make the days just FLY by! Sending you all lots of love, luck and baby dust in case I don't make it on here much in the next coming week with all that is going on!

Really quick....Im back from my dr appt. Starting Prometrium tonight for the next 12 days.. Everything looks good from my post opt. So still waiting for AF and my FET calendar should be on the way.
I found out my insurance is drastically changing as of Jan 1. UGH! No more ART coverage for dr visits and medications. So Im fortunate to have a very aggressive doc that will help in these types of situations. So I was able to get 90 days worth of medications for 3 cycles since Ive met my out of pocket this year, just in case my FET doesn't take. I hope I didnt jinx myself.....
