Anton: Excellent!! Congratulations! 2 blasts is awesome!! Just perfect!!! Woohoo....now come get some rest and relaxation as those embies snuggle in to momma...your BFP isn’t too far from mine! You are PUPO!!! Enjoy!!! Image 11 days until beta...countdown begins! (Day after my u/s)

GreekChick: OHSS is ovarian hyperstimulation. It can be mild to severe and includes bloating and weight gain. It can occur after ER (from the trigger shot) or sometimes after ET (especially if you get pregnant). No worries about ER...really...all will go well. Take deep breaths and try to relax as much as you can. It really is quite painless since you are asleep for it! No tips really, other than to do the best you can to de-stress and relax and do the things that are fun to keep you from worrying--movies? Books? Hobbies? Afterwards just take it easy that day. Some people are aching and sore, others not. And after transfer? Hard to remember really, because of the Valium  ...I think I laid there for about an hour? Maybe less. Your bladder is so full that is the only unpleasant part. This RE office was kind enough to offer a bedpan--my last RE just made me suffer for 20 minutes after transfer before I could go.

Kynlee: How are you doing? ET go ok? Maybe you are just relaxing and can’t get to the computer...

Rio: Yes, the rash is better. Thanks!

Katie: Yes, that bedrest is a pain indeed..but if it helps keep us relaxed and calm then that is what is important. I decided to decrease but not stop my progesterone and estrogen. I go get levels checked on Tuesday and that isn’t too far away. Plus, what Ashley said really helped me feel more at ease. And yes, my rash is going away--thanks for checking! When is your beta?

Blissful: Thank you! 5w2d and your turn!!

Leora: How are you doing? Get to go home today? Tomorrow? Hope that you found some way to pass the time in the hospital..I know how incredibly boring it can be.

AFM: Lots of gas pains (I think?) kept me up last night. Rio, didn’t you have something like that early on? Man, at first it was scary because I thought I was cramping, but then I realized it was a bit different. I think it was gas...sorry for TMI...but I think my digestive track is off wack with all the meds and being pregnant I guess. I read something today on Dr. Google saying high progesterone can slow down digestion and make gas pains. Hm. I guess one of many new symptoms I look forward to!! As long as bean is healthy I will put up with whatever!!

Enjoy the weekend everyone!!

Margi - Gas is most definitely caused by the progesterone & the changing hormones in your body with pregnancy. I get it horrible it is sorta joke between DH & me....our DD is now in on the joke too so it is pretty funny.....my beta is the 28th but if I get a BFP before then I will go in early.....I am down for three days then tomorrow I am up and about but nothing crazy!!!!
Image

Kynlee - Dear where are you???? Is everything OK......want to know how your ET went....hope you are doing OK....

Image

Greekchick - The best thing about the ET is the valium so you can sleep the rest of the day & sleep so well at night so it gives you a head start on the first day of bed rest! If you are intending to do it....good luck with ER & ET sounds like you are right where you want to be!

Carol - thanks. It means so much to me to have so many cheerleaders. I also grew up mostly on pasta dinners, while D had whatever he wanted/needed. I remember when my mom sat me down and told me that she couldn't afford my college tuition any more (halfway through freshman year) and I had to work to pay for it. My IL just wrote a check for D's tuition. It's such a difference. I have to admit though - it's pretty nice to know that we have that backup. Even if I can't work again for a year, we won't end up living in our car!

Margi - u/s is so soon! How many weeks will you be on the 29th? Also, I was always told to lower the dosages to wean off slowly instead of stopping cold turkey. My docs took me off at about 9.5 weeks with my last set of twins. Because of the bleeding, they just upped my dose (now 1000mg per day of progesterone vaginally).

Tess - no worries, my dear! You are definitely not a heartless b****! :D but you are cute to apologize!

Anton - CONGRATS on being PUPO! Will you be POAS, or will you be strong enough to wait for the beta? The 30th isn't so far away!

AFM - I don't know how to feel... we had another u/s today. Babies are now measuring 4 days behind - 6w1d when I should be 6w5d. The doctors are telling me that measuring a bit small is fine, different techs take different measurements, different machines have different resolutions, it's within the margin of error, etc. But I'm still worried. My last miscarriage, this is exactly what happened. The first sign of trouble is when the baby measured 6w at 6w3d. I'm so worried the same thing is happening again. What I don't understand is why BOTH babies are measuring behind. How could they both have the same problem? I'm so worried.

In any case, I'm on strict bedrest and go back for another u/s next Sunday (one week). I really hope these babies GROW GROW GROW GROW. I can not imagine losing babies #4 and #5.... I just don't know how I would ever do this again....

Leorira - I am so sorry you have to deal with this, but I think the Dr's are right there is always some margin of error with each person who reads a ultrasound....so a day or 2 shouldn't matter.....just rest and think positive thoughts about your sweet little ones growing inside your belly....you are pregnant and your babies are healthy so do whatever it takes to keep them that way....my list of movies grows so here are a few that were good....500 days of summer, Due Date, Morning Glory, 127 Hours (intense but good), Robin Hood (with Cate Blanchett) thats it so far...also reading The Whole Pregnancy Handbook (really good & informative for before, durning and after pregnancy) and Maria Shriver's 10 Things....Also dipping into Love & Logic (good parenting book)

Kynlee - YAY PUPO Lady!!!! So happy you were just laying low....nice to have DH wait on you hand & foot! I am on day four....my husband announced yesterday that maybe one more day wouldn't be bad....UGH.....we have a dear friend who did 5 days (yes 5 days!!!) with each of her IVF's(2) & FET's(1) and she got a BFP each time so now DH has it in his head that, that must be the key! We are compromising but he doesn't know it yet....

Tessa - Test results this week right? I am praying it was nothing that will hinder your journey & the information will be helpful but not devastating.....let us know what you need from us we are here for you...

Anton - Day 1 down...on to day 2 whats the agenda for today?

Kbillsy - How are you feeling? Doing Ok laying low? Reading/watching anything good?

Greekchick - Good Luck tomorrow, on your boat ride just breathe in the fresh air & take many cleansing breaths on your car ride take in the scenery and relish in the beautiful place you live....keep your mind clear & content.....when you get to the RE's office remember what the cool fresh air felt like in your lungs and how content you felt & think about the beautiful scenery of your car ride...and before you know it, it will all be over and you will be on your way home & waiting to bring your beautiful babies back to you....

AFM - I am bored to tears and don't feel pregnant at all...I know each pregnancy is different but last time I swear my boobs hurt from early on and I had wicked constipation (TMI)...maybe not...maybe I am delusional now since my brain is turning to mush...thank god for laptops...I have gotten a ton of work done and watched so much TV I literally could sleep for a week & not miss a thing! One of the things that keeps me amused is the bombs going off and the animals scattering all around the house to their hiding places.....really we have lived here for 9 years animals happens every winter you would think they would be used to it but it is pretty comical! Anyways I will be POAS but probably not until Tuesday(6dp5dt) maybe Wednesday(7dp5dt) unless I chicken out...not sure yet...want this so bad and trying to decide will I be bummed or prepared if it is negative? Anyways off to take my pharmacy of drugs & herbs.....eat breakfast & start manipulating husband to take me somewhere....really anywhere just to get out of bed & house!

Tess - I hope all goes well with your appt, pls let us know how it goes.

Katie - PMA! Fingers crossed for your BFP!

Leora - sorry you are so worried but measuring a few days behind is normal especially for twins and so early on it is hard to get a good accurate measurement.

Kynle - great job!!!!!!! You are PUPO! just keep on the gatorade in case pregnancy makes you develop OHSS!

Anton - how is the pregnant momma doing? Baking those little sweethearts for my b-day bfp? :)

Greekchick - all the very best for you tomorrow.

Anton - yay for two perfect blasties. How are you feeling?

Katie and Kynlee and Kbillsy - how are the PUPO ladies going? Katie - too much rest drives me nuts too. I ended up going for a quiet stroll with the dog after both of my ETs. Got pregnant both times so can't do too much harm. :? Your psychological health is important too.

Leora - how are you doing today? I know that you have every right to be worried after all that you've been through but please try not to stress out too much. Enjoy those lovely wee beans growing in your tummy.

AFM - DH and i are still waiting for an appointment with the geneticist. Damn public health system! Hopefully it will be in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile AF has arrived, and I've called in Day 1 at the RE but can't go ahead with the drugs until we've had our mtg with the geneticist. I don't have to do any testing till Day 21 so there's a few weeks to go.

One of my best friends freaked me out today. The cousin of a friend of hers is due to have a baby in May that she has decided she doesn't want, what is up with that???!!! Anyway, she is going to give the baby up for adoption and to cut the story short we've been asked whether we would consider this option. I was a little dumbstruck as DH and i haven't even discussed adoption. I'm pretty confused as I really want DH and I to have a baby of our own but at the same time, we would both be open to adoption should we find out we should not continue to try to have children. However, if adoption is an option with this little baby, time is of the essence. There are obviously huge bureaucratic hoops to jump through. Perhaps I'll start by meeting with my friend's friend to have an informal chat about it all. Any thoughts on adoption would be hugely appreciated.

Anyway, time to toddle off to bed now.

Tessa- I dont know much on adoption, but if a door opens the way it is I would definitely look into it if it is something you want... Who knows you could get pregnant plus adopt a child and your family may be complete... Maybe she will do a private adoption which I have heard is much easier to go through... God opens doors in many ways this could be one for you :)... I have heard so many stories where people have adopted and right after have got pregnant so you could have your complete family soon :)

AFM- I have been resting for days know I am bored out of my mind... I know its early but I dont feel pregnant at all, in fact I feel A/F coming.... She was due on Friday and hasnt come yet so I am nervous if she does come now... Please pray she stays away... Also I am only on progesterone no estrace this time, when I asked the nurse last week she said I only needed to do progesterone with my fresh cycle does this sound right??? I am nervous that this is why a/f is coming cause I am not on it...

Hey Ladies! I have so much reading to catch up with everyone...Been away for a week around sooo much family...My house is now empty, kinda sad. Got to meet my newest nephew over the weekend and he is such a cutie! I couldn't hold him though, the news traveled that I had an allergic reaction the day before to my antibiotic (spider-bite) and my mom told my other sister-in-law that she didn't think it would be a good idea. My grandmother's 90th birthday party was outside, and so many people were there, surprisingly the baby wasn't the center of attention and even my SIL and I talked some. Later on SIL even asked my dh how I had been doing. He was taken by surprise, she is truly a caring person. Our babies would of been one week apart, but the next baby I'll be holding will be our very own! How's that for PMA!

Kynlee, I've been thinking about you, and will be counting down those 9 days with you. It's good that you have taken some time off, continue to take care of yourself and try to relax because your snuggles are nice and warm with their momma now.

Tessa, I was talking with one of my best friends over the weekend, and they are adopting from Russia! The homestudy is going well she says, they are number 5 on the list, and if everything goes well their newborn could be arriving here sometime this August! I wish I could convince my husband to look into adoption too, giving that child a chance to have a loving home. DH doesn't think we're ready, my response is well maybe in 5 years? But it takes so much time usually to go through the paperwork, so Tessa this is a great opportunity!

Speaking of that I must get my taxes wrapped up this week, but itemizing is going to be so worth it! :D Much catching up to do, but I'm thinking of you!

Tess69 - Adoption is very close to my heart since my DD is adopted.....I decided a long time ago that for me it didn't matter how I got my baby I just knew I wanted to be a mommy and I have to tell you for me genetics or not when my little two year old's face lights up at the site of me & she comes running towards me yelling mommy....well lets just say thats all mine......My adoption with her is very similar to what you are talking about we started IVF & Adoption at the same time & said whichever one comes first....turned out she did....she sort of just got dropped in our lap....a friend of a friend had a niece who wanted to give up her baby we met her December 13th, DD was born December 31st (which I was present for & cut the cord!) and brought her home January 2nd.....it is a closed adoption other than a once a year contact with pictures & a note....I am happy to answer any questions...we are hoping to give her a brother or sister (or maybe both!) with this cycle......just remember the decision is yours & no body can make it for you.....my BFF would never adopt and at first I thought that was weird but then I thought this is an extremely personal decision & only you can make the right one for you & your family. BTW....I did get out of bed & go for a walk yesterday with DD & DD (Darling Doggies!)

Kynlee - One of the signs of implantation & pregnancy is period like symptoms so don't loose hope yet....I feel pretty much nothing other than a little tired and thirsty. Weird they wouldn't give you a picture but no matter you don't need one cause you are going to see them in a short un-eventful 9 months!

Sunshine - Why couldn't you hold your new nephew? Because of antibiotics & a spider bite I am confused? Nothing contagious about that I wouldn't think especially if you are on antibiotics....but love your PMA that the next baby you will hold will be your own....cause you are right it will be!

Rio - Thanks I need all the PMA I can get....it's amazing when I go back & read the things I post how I try to be so up-lifting & supportive to everyone else but myself...why is that??

AFM - Haven't broken down and POAS yet...I am scared....last time I had a BFP today but I was naive & silly, but when I read the what happens list today they are just burrowing in deeper and emitting HCG but tomorrow they really get cracking on the HCG emissions so maybe I will just wait. My BFF is dying for me to do it too.....

Here is that list for those of you that are curious:

Hi everyone! :D

Katieb- Hang in there dear! :D Watching movies and reading is the best way "killing" your time during the 2ww :D ...what kind of bombs you where refering about?...

Lauren- Thank for cheering me for being pupo! :D I wish you only the best from the bottom of my heart! :D Image

Hopeisallihave- I am going to see you soon on the other side! :D Image

Rio- I am doing great! :D The buns are in the oven getting ready for your bday! Image

Margi- Gas huh; sorry about that dear...but, what you gotta do, you gotta do!....I hope besides your gasy experience everything else is doing great! ...so u/s on the 29th!!! I am so excited for you! :D Image

Leorira- I am praying your little beans are doing OK! :D I am sure both are growing the way they should! Don't worry! :D ...I am NO poas material my friend! ...even though is more fun to poas, unless I was sure of the outcome, I wouldn't mess with my pma! :D I send you a rainbow to stop all the storm you've been through so that it never comes back again! Image

Lou- My dear friend! :D keep those fingers crossed alright! :D Thank you for contributing to my BFP! :D Image

Greekchick- I hope everything went great today in ER! :D I am looking forward t hear your experience! :D ..how many will you transfer? Image

Kynlee- Hey you Pupo girl! :D ...actualy my ET was on saturday so we have the same beta date 3/30. I wish you a BFP from the bottom of my heart! :D and hey! stop panicking! although its too early anyway to be feeling anything, you might be one of those women who have no pregnant signs and still get their BFP! so no worries there dear! ...the feeling of AF coming might be a sign of pregnancy though! PMA! PMA! :D Image

Tess- OMG! How ironic! we are going through IVF and stuff and there are women who just don't want their babies! ...have no idea about adoption but why not looking into it. you have nothing to loose besides, maybe this is karma!... Image

AFM- I am feeling great so far! I put my progesterone pessaries 3 times a day, my estrogen patches 2 every other day and my CLEXANE injections (anti-thrombosis / anti-clotting) and I am sending lots and lots of possitive vibes to my embies to stick!!! :D ...the agenda involves a lot movies and reading and by now I think I've grown roots on my couch! my best friend has off tomorrow and she is coming over in the morning to visit and catch up... other than I am anxious about getting my BFP everything is going great! :D ...forgot to tel you! ...the night of my ET I was lying on by back all the time and all night and it hurt SOOO much I couldn't breath! actually I was afraid to sleep on my one side like I always do from the fear of "pressing" my embies! I know, stupid! but yet It happend! sometimes when we want do everything right we over do it/over react I guess! ....on my first IVF after ET I was afraid to go to the toilet neither for #1 or #2! i was afraid that if pushed too much they embies would fall or get pressed or something!!! I know! Stupid!! but its all cool! I will have stories to tell to my babies when they grow up! :D Today is 2dp5dt! 9 more days to my BFP!! :D Image

I hope everyone else is doing great and enjoying being alive and trying making their babies! :D

Anton - HAHAHA - I guess that does sound funny! We are just so used to it! Avalanche bombs - they bomb the snow where it is un-stable so people don't get caught in avalanches at the resorts & we live about a tenth of a mile from the resort so it shakes our windows when they go off......
