Margi- I'm so sorry for your lose and hope very much that your DH can find a way to grieve and also prepare for celebrating such an important time for his family (I imagine that to be hard but necessary) Hang in there and keep those babe safe and snug inside!

Sweetpea-- thanks so much for asking, I'm going great. I've cut back to 3 half days/week which is fantastic, just had my first full day off today and it was awesome! DH and I went on our hospital tour (not really sure what the point was because for reasons of confidentiality they didn't let us see any of the rooms????? okay, so we drove up there to chat and see the hallway??? strange, but oh well) and then spent the afternoon with DS. looking forward to hearing your gf birthstory and hope you had a fantastic shower!

Margi - so sorry to hear about your loss. I can imagine how difficult it must be for you to be unable to be there for DH and his family during this time, but I'm sure everyone understands your situation. Keep those beans snuggled in nicely. Your family is in my thoughts.

Blair - thanks for asking. I'm just chugging along. Had my prenatal doula appointment yesterday and it went really well. Can I say.. information overload!! Between our Bradley classes, doula appointments, and midwife appts, time seems to be flying by, but at the same time, it's not, lol. Since week 37 hit, I've been having pretty bad low back pains and an increase in the trips to the bathroom. I'm guessing she dropped a bit more. Next midwife appointment this Wednesday! I'm not yet sure whether I'll ask her to check my progress or not. Hubby won't be there this time, but the doula will. How are you feeling? I get palpitations every now and then, but they subside within a few minutes. I'm guessing it's not much to worry about. I have yet to do Thank You cards from my shower, yikes!

Kat - Glad you had a good time at your shower. I'm looking forward to hearing your gf's story! Sounds quite interesting!

Ryann - your babies are just the cutest little darlings!

Leora - You are constantly in my thoughts. You'll get your take-home baby very soon, I know it! Can't wait to stalk you during your next cycle!

Lou - thinking about you and hoping all is well with you and baby Chloe. I hope you're enjoying your mommyhood to the fullest.

Margi-I'm so sorry for your family's loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I second everyone else that I'm sure the family understands your situation.

Sd-OMG that doesn't even make sense. I wouldn't have been to happy about that. Thankfully I'm delivering at the same hopsital I delivered my last two at. Though I heard the rooms are all now suites and have a bed set up for the Father etc. Glad your doing well though. It's crazy how fast time is flying for all of us.

Ok for my gf's birth story, obviouslt readers digest version as Mom tells it best. So my girfriend was due on September 16th. I saw her Friday night after her doctor appointment and nothing was going on she said. Than on Sunday of course she walks into the Polish Picnic and I'm like are you serious?? Like when is this baby coming out. So I talked to her belly at about 4pm before she left to go and take a nap and told her to come out and meet her Mommy. Well I guess around 8 she felt like she had to poop and went to the bathroom and felt a gush and of course her water broke. Well she calmly tells her husband to give Julia their 1 1/2 year old a bath while she went to fix her bottle for bed. While in kitchen she tells her Mother-in-Law to go give her DH the bottle for Julia and lets her know that her water broke but not to tell her husband. So she goes to her room to grab her bag and towel and of course mother-in-law told the husband and he comes out freaking out and she says calm down. They put Julia down and proceeded to leave the house. She gets down to the vehicle and all hell broke loose. She starts getting these horrible contractions that are just on top of each other. Her husband lays towel on car seat and she tries to get into car and just cant manage it. She looks at her husband and goes this isn't happening call 911. She kept feeling pressure puts her hand down and feels the baby head. They get on the phone with 911 they ask to speak with her and ask a million questions and she's panting the baby is coming it's coming. They get on the phone with the husband again and ask him to get her on the ground. She's like I can't. He lays towel down but she can only hang onto car. Than they tell him to get some towels if he can so he asks her is it ok if I leave you while he runs into house. Well he leaves and as soon as he leaves She just felt the baby come and reaches down and the head is totally in her hand and than feels the urge to push and pushes and the baby came out. Her husband comes back out and she's holding the baby and they are freaking out baby is not breathing and the 911 operative tells them what to do and baby starts crying. The ambulance shows up and she goes to the hospital. So my gf delivered her own baby. Crazy crazy. I've never known anyone that delivered their own baby alone let alone at home under the stars.

Shows you how fast things change. I also had a very fast labor with my first baby and only natural delivery. My water broke a little after 2:30 am or so and it was a while before I ahd any contractions I could feel and when they did get heavy she checked me I was 6 cm dilated well not even 20 minutes later I'm like he's coming and the nurse argued with me that I just checked you 20 minutes ago and you were only 6 he's not coming and left the room. Well my Mom looked down and saw his head and runs after nurse halls her back in and every nurse and 2 doctors runs into my room drops the bed down (I never made it to the delivery room) So many people were squished into this small room and my ex husband literally almost fainted and had to leave the room but came back in just in time for him to be born as I only pushed for like 10 minutes. So my water broke a little after 2:30 am and he was born at 5:59.

Lou - love the hospital pics of little Chloe - she is just precious!! HOpe all is going good at home.

Ryann - I love the smiley faces on your little ones - they are so cute! We have a lot of the same outfits it seems - I have the elephants and the I love mommy striped sets for both boy and girl. They are so cute.

Leora - Thanks for dropping by - It is always good to know how you are doing. Praying for a "take home" baby for you.

Blair - So glad you got to go to your shower. I was thinking about that. I hope your heart rate is doing better. I am so happy that you are still baking those little ones - that is so good.

Stephanie - Good to hear from you as well. Wow 55+ hours a week, that must be hard. Love how it sounds like you have developed a routine with those little ones. Hopefully someday we will be there.

Kat - hope you have recovered from your baby shower. My goodness what an ordeal your gf had - that is an amazing story. Hope they are both well and recovered. You are looking great - all belly (and it is just a little belly)!!!

Margi - Sorry for your family's loss. That has to be hard to not be with your DH but you are doing what is best for your little ones. I hope you are well and not under too much stress. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mamaboo - Glad all is going smoothly for you. Sounds like they are keeping a close eye on you.

SD - Yay for decreased work schedule, sounds like you will have some quality time with DS before your little one arrives. Did you decide on the camera for the gift?

Ashley - Sorry to hear you are having more back pain. The constant bathroom trips are no fun. You are getting pretty close. Take care of yourself.

Rio - Good to hear from you. Wow, Miss Lizzy sure is growing. Glad to hear BFing gets easier. The twins are still only nursing 1-2 times a day. It still really wears them out and if they are tired at all I have a hard time getting them to latch correctly. I try not to push them cause I want them to conserve energy and gain weight.

AFM - Not much new - just care for the little ones. My mom and step dad are still here until next week. Will be very sad to see them go but I think I am up to the challenge of caring for both on my own (while DH is at work). My MIL and SIL will likely both come for a week too.

Hope all is well for everyone. No surprises.

Barbara --- Omigosh, Brooke is so cute. Love the pic with pumpkins. I cannot get over how much she looks like you!

Stephanie -- Thanks so much. I'm giving up on breast feeding. I'm not producing milk... just a tad of moisture. My OB says it may be because of how much trauma I went through and how much blood lost at the c-section. I cried and cried for days but need to get past it and focus on my HEALTHY baby.

KJM -- Thanks! I am quickly finding that out! DH and I both find ourselves going to the bassinet to look when we haven't heard any noise for a while.

Yingz -- Thank you! It won't be long before you have your miracle in your arms as well. We'll have to have a play date!

Ashley -- You are getting verrrry close my dear! I can't wait for your news. You are next, right?

Margi -- I'm so sorry about your FIL. Please accept our condolences to you and your DH. How are you feeling? You've made it to 33 weeks with twins and that is AMAZING! You're babies are past the critical stages and that must feel fantastic. Heck, you might be next!

Bliss -- No more breast feeding for us. It just didn't work out despite my efforts. Love the bedding you've chosen for your baby's room!

Amanda -- Thank you... we think she's pretty cute too. Doesn't every mom?

Mamaboo -- So glad you are doing well. Did you hear about a CS date?

Blair -- Thanks so much. She's really a good baby and we feel so blessed. I can't wait for my photo package to arrive in the mail. Would love to see your growing belly too. How is your HR doing? Any more palpitations?

SD -- Thanks. You are getting close too. Soon this whole board will have babies to talk about instead of pregnancies. How awesome.

Amanda 1979 -- Thanks for stopping by. And thanks for the comp on my baby. I've been stalking you as well.

Anton -- Thank you my amazing friend. I'm stalking you like crazy for your BFP.

Ronda -- Thanks my friend! :D Always great to hear from you.

Ester -- Hi twin mama! Thanks so much.

Leora -- I love that you are still stopping by here. You are amazing. Please believe in your embryo. It really does only take one and you've had great success conceiving. I have a wonderful feeling that that embryo is your rainbow baby. Please believe. I'll be stalking for sure!

Ryann -- Thank you. What amazing smiles you've captured on those darling little faces!

sunshine1576-- Thank you. Everyone is telling me how fast they grow and I'm going to make sure I enjoy each moment. This is likely going to be my only child.

Karin1 -- Thank you. WE did so good. lol

Kat --You look great! How was the shower? I can't believe your gf delivered her own baby! Here mine wouldn't even fit past my tailbone even after 2 hrs of pushing. Ugh. That's incredible though. So glad all is well with them. Was this their first baby???

Rio -- So glad Lizzy is a good eater! That always helps. Her growth sounds great. Wow... mine's a good eater too so I guess she'll grow F-A-S-T as well.

Sorry if I forgot anyone. It's been a little nuts around here, but I love it!

AFM -- Chloe had her first sponge bath today and her first pediatrician appt is tomorrow. I can't wait to see if she's gained weight. I imagine so as there hasn't been a drop of formula this kid didn't like. We did have to give up on breast feeding as milk production isn't my forte. OB says my traumatic delivery and huge blood loss probably had something to do with it. I just need to focus on my healthy baby girl and not the fact that I cannot breast feed.

lou- don't feel bad about the breastfeeding thing...somethings are out of your control and Chloe will do just great with the bottle I'm sure.

Sweetpea-- GF story was amazing! Although fast labor sounds awesome, catching your own baby in the driveway doesn't sound that appealing (although it makes are great story!)

Rio- No, I'm delivering at a new hospital so kinda bummed I didn't see much. But I guess the most important part is that we know where it is and the after-hours procedures. Besides, anything has to be better than the closet we delivered in at the other hospital! I'm so looking forward to experiencing labor with a midwife and hope so much that everything is uncomplicated!

Lou- The samething happened with me with Angela due to internal bleeding. It sucked but I got over it and my kids were super healthy when babies and they are pretty smart. I do risk internal bleeding again unfortunetly because 6 hours after delivery I have to go on heparin. :( I'm not even bothering to buy a breast pump or any breast feeding stuff till after delivery. Chris said if it's needed he will run out. Looking forward to hearing about her first pediatrician appointment!

Barbara- Love her picture she's so cute and getting so big!! I love her hands behind her back. She's like ya I'm cute and I know it;)

Riogrl-Good to hear from you and glad the breast feeding has gotten easier and she has put on some weight. You must be one busy Mom with a 3 year old and a newborn. I give you ladies who have kids close in age kudos. I might have to do the same if the DF wants another one as I'm not getting any younger. I hope I can do it;)

SD-I totally I agree I would have been crying and freaking out but she remained calmed and when she got the 911 tape in the mail she reheard it and it showed DH was the one that needed to be calmed down the whole time not her. Thank god we live in Boston and she was able to get an ambulance and to a hospital quickly after.

AFM: So with all my gf's being pregnant unfortunetly 2 of my best friends are having their baby shower the same day. One starts at 12 and the other at 1. Which sucks because one is an hour away so no way to make both. The one I'm missing there is like 3-4 of us that can't make it (2 of us of course are her 2 best friends), so we are actually going to get together 2 weeks before and have a little baby shower for her that she doesn't know about. We feel so bad. But there is nothing we could do. Her sister-in-law and Mother-in-law could not move the date it was the first available date they could get at this place.

Question for the twin mamas..... Have you or when did you start with BH's?? I had my appt with the Perinatal Clinic (not my regular dr) today for my 4wk growth scan and he believes the symptoms I have described is BH. My cervix is closed up tight and the BH dont hurt so he says Im ok and he will forward his notes to my OB for my appt next wk. I am just over 25wks. Im just wondering if this is around the right time for them, or too early, etc....

I just got the news today that due to how good little Denver looks, my high risk ob will recommend going to 39 weeks for my c-section. Less than 7 weeks away! Long, but short time. Isn't it funny how that seems to be the norm? Everything happens so fast, but so slowly at the same time.

Barbara - O.M.GOODNESS!!! Brooke is a BABE! Simply gorgeous!

Dallas - My BHs began around week 16, which my first OB said was completely normal with twins. It was when huge winter storms were moving through our area, something about the barometric pressure dropping. Just remember to drink TONS of water to prevent dehydration which irritates the uterus and causes contractions. BTW... I had to be induced at 38 weeks with my boys, so early BHs doesn't necessarily mean early labor.
