Hey Girls! Sorry I have been away. We have been in and out of town. Thanks for all of the congrats! We are still in shock I think! Every now and then Dh looks at me and says "I can't believe you're pregnant!" We know how lucky we are! my u/s is Wed. at 8:30 in the morning so I will update you when I get home! I'm scared!!!

Angie- keep us posted on how your Dr. visit goes in a few weeks. You must have a good baby to be thinking about #2 already. I was the same way!

Nickster- I agree with Tina- It's your turn!!! You aren't starting till Nov/Dec. right?? You probably have REAL fall weather up there I am jealous!!

If any of you girls put your children in Halloween costumes this week I want to see pics!!! I really need to get on the ball with that. I have her tutu, but I need something to go under it. I have a picture of her in it on the blog.

Ok the angel is sleeping and I have a ton of chores to do as usual! Have a great week!
Jenn

Hey Jenn. Yes...we are so happy for you. That is so cool and I guess that's one of the benefits of IVF, it really does make you realize just how lucky you are to get pregnant. Sometimes people tell me "you'll just appreciate them more when they get here", I guess it's true.
Thank you also (and Tina) for my well wishes for this cycle. DH and I are both feeling pretty good about it. I really hope I'll be joining you girls with baby stories to tell and pictures to share!
Seaking of...Jen I wasn't able to get on your blog. Will you pm me the address again, please?

Talk to everyone soon.

Hey girls! Just wanted to let you know that the u/s went great. The baby was curled up in the corner so there wasn't much to see, but the heart rate was 162 so he said everything looked great. Huge relief. It's not easy waiting for the ultrasounds! I see my Dr. tomorrow for a check up, they won't do OB appointments in the same day as u/s. Very inconvenient when you have to find people to watch your child! Anybody free to watch Anna tomorrow?? She's really easy, happy most of the time...

How is everyone else??
Jenn

Jenn - so happy for you - another a natural pregnancy - wow! Wishing you a wonderful smooth one .

How is everyone else? We are well here - Amelie has been a little unsettled during the day - some times I just give up sleeping her in the cot and put her in the stroller - hence I have been doing lots of walking! I am off to the UK in a few weeks and a bit worried this technique won't work so well when the weather is cold, wet and dark! BUt very excited about having a northern hemisphere Christmas - the first in a long time.

I posted a pic from Halloween last night of me and Noah! He was a monkey! We had such fun - we walked around the neighborhood with other neighbors and drank wine. Then the kids had a costume parade! We had about 15 couples out there with all of our kids. It was wonderful.

So, how is Sassy? Will someone PM me her blog?

Take care all!

Jenn- So happy for you. I am going to predict that you are having another girl:) So, do we have an official due date yet?

Tina- Little Noah is so cute. He gets cuter with each picture. I remember Shelby's first Halloween. Such a fun time.
We had a football game last night (as my dh is a coach), so not much trick-or-treating for Shelby. She didn't realize it too much, but I am sure as she gets older she will not enjoy the game vs. the candy.

I would love Sassy's blog as well. Anyone????????/

Hi Girls sorry again for the long absence. Work is kicking my ass at the moment! But look what is going on!!

Jenn congratulations! You must be thrilled, I am so happy for you. And thanks for the blog link, I love your blog. Congrats on the ultra sound a big relief! How many people have you told????

Nickster, glad to hear you are back in the saddle so to speak. I have everything crossed for you, glad you are feeling good about this one...Also loved your holiday pics. You look fab. I would love a tropical getaway but there is no freaking way that is happening any time soon.

Tina, how are you going with working and mothering, are you working full-time??? I must be very disorganised because I am struggling! I am going to click on photo bucket after this to check you and Noah out.

Angie, may be Amelie is teething??? don't envy the long trip to the UK coming up. I felt like having a tantrum the last time I went so I don't know how a baby will cope....mind you my sister just did it and her baby was fine.

Robbo, glad to hear you are thinking about another go. where are we at with that??

Mego, can't believe Lucy is one (OK that is old news now!) Loved the birthday pics though.

Vicky???

I would also like Sassy's blog. I used to have one but I don't think it is the one she is using now.

Rio turned one yesterday. We are very proud. Due to total lack of organisation he is having a party in two weeks. It is getting out of hand, I think I have about 70 people coming at last count. O geez what was I thinking???

Hope all the sistas are going OK with the craptastic economy.

I'd better be off, it is 10.50pm and I am still getting ready for work tomorrow..

Fee

Hi all.

I pm'ed Tina, Robbo, and Fee with Sassy's blog. She and all the babies are safe and sound at home now.

Tina~ Noah is so darn cute. Did he have a good first Halloween? We had drinks (way too many actually) with our neighbors too. We had a lot of fun. We had a bonfire in one of the neighbors driveways and those with kids took them trick-or-treating and everyone just met back there. It was the first time we did that and it worked out well. We had a great time.
Glad to hear the little guy is still such a sleeper!

Fee~ So good to hear from you. I can't believe Rio is already one! Wow...time flies! What was he for Halloween?

Angie~ I hope Amelie is in a better mood these days. I think someone already mentioned this but do you think it's because she's teething? Poor thing...and you!

Robbo~ Remind me, how old is Shelby?

Jenn~ I was so glad to hear everything went well at the ultrasound appt (not that I expected different). I'm sure just like with the IVF US's, it's a huge relief to be able to "see" things are going ok. How have you been feeling, any different yet?

Not much new here, just patiently awaiting the arrival of the needles! Still on just BCP, I start Lupron on the 12th. It seems like it really is coming up fast.

I will talk to everyone soon.

Nickster- Anna will be exactly 9 months on the 12th, so that is a great day to start!

Angie- don't fret about your trip, I am sure you will have fun and Amelie will have a ton of new sights to see!

Fee- glad to hear from you! Your ticker cracks me up- 92 weeks pregnant what a woman!! That b-day party sounds huge!! I can't believe he is 1 already, I didn't think he was that much older than mine. Then again in 3 months she will be 1  It goes by WAY too fast doesn't it?

Tina- I am going to check out the pictures right now! I was a horrible mother and did nothing but puke all night so Anna did not get to put on her tutu! I am happy to be pregnant, but it is kicking my @ss at the moment. Not easy to puke and keep up with an 8 month old...

Robbo- I think it is a girl too! Halloween was on a school day ~isn't that always fun! At least the next day was Saturday so they didn't come in from candy high right away! I always made my students promise not to eat candy for breakfast the next day and come to school! It never worked...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am going to nap while Anna is sleeping and dh is getting some work done.

Bye!
Jenn

hi girls - thanks for the tip about teething - I went out and bought Little Ams a rubber teether but silly me, so used to sterilising everything, put it in the microwave and it ended up sticky mess of molten plastic. So I learnt that hot soapy water is just fine. Anyway bought another teether but so far she prefer sucking on her soft toys and making them soggy instead.

So what happens with teething then? Most of the time she is happy - it's more that she is getting harder to settle at night - over an hour last night but then she slept well all night so can't complain.

Nickster - not long to go now - good luck my friend.
Jenn - congrats on the scan - good to have another preggo sister again - hope the puking isn't too bad - I can't imagine being preggo and looking after another baby but I guess people do it!!
Tina - glad you had fun with Halloween - hope you enjoyed the wine too!
Fee - 70 people at Rio's party - wow! He will be quite the celebrity guest of honour - forget the Melbourne Cup races, sounds like your event is the place to be - don't forget to post some pics.

 Angie I have done the same thing! I put her teethers in the microwave in a steam bag and they blew up. What a mess! I learned the hard way, soap and water works just as good!

I'm glad I'm not the only one Jenn ! I think I gradually have to learn that everything is soon going to end up in her mouth, sterile or not, so I must just relax. Off for a walk now to give Amelie her afternoon stroll (nap) and to buy chocolate for me.....yay!

Ugh, teething! It's a horrible thing. All I can say is don't be afraid to use Tylenol! At first I was like, "I am not going to drug my baby", but desperate times call for desperate measures! And seriously, she is so much happier if I give her regular doses of it when I know she's cutting a tooth. She's a really, really, really slow cutter. For instance, she started cutting her newest one last Monday and it's just now making it's way through. I'm hoping it will be all the way tomorrow. Teething sucks!

Well, Lucy is succesfully sleeping on her own! It only took us 13 months to get up the courage to leave her in her own room but it's a magical thing! She actually goes to sleep when I lay her down and stays that way for 8-12 hours. Holy cow, I have my life back. Well, a little anyway. She still won't lay down for naps. If I want her to sleep during the day I either have to take her for a walk or just rock her. So I'm spending 1-2 hours every afternoon rocking my baby and watching tv. I gotta tell you, my life could be much worse!~

Nickster...I've been thinking about you. Hope this cycle is the one.

Jenn--congrats! I bet you and your dh just don't know what to think!

Fee--I can't believe your little Rio is 1. Geesh, they'll be going away to college before we know it, huh?

Well, off to bed. Oh, Lucy had a great halloween. I'll post some pics!!
