Just a quick AFM update...Friday is my last day of work!!!! Yeah!!! I'm so excited. Over the past year, I've received 3 spa gift certificates for massage for various occasions and I'm gonna use 'em all next week...I figure I'll either have the most fantastic week ever or the babe will come early since I've made all these plans (which is what happened with my first). either way I win I figure since I'm fullterm now!

Yes, the 2012board has been very quiet lately. I haven't been posting as much just because I am always soooooooo tired. After work I just wanna crash and the wkends have been super packed with activities and projects. We had our 1st shower last wkend and with that and family in town to visit it has taken me all wk to recover. Only to have a work shower this wk, a dr appt thurs, church shower this coming Sat and homecoming at church. Hopefully I will squeeze in a massage at some point this wk. I did have an appt this past Wed for my monthly growth scan, and they look great. He is 1lb 11oz, she is 1lb 13oz. She definitely rules the roost in there! We were able to get some 3d pics of her but he was facing my spine so no cool pics of him. They are both with their little heads pointed down and on my bladder with their feet up to my ribs. I will be interested to see how they are turned at my appt Thurs..... they better not be preparing for an exit!!!! My cervix was still looking good, like a fort! It just worries me with these BH's and knowing there are twin moms on the 2011 board on hosp bedrest. I am 26wks this week so I have got to start taking it a little easier. Just know that even if Im not posting that I am following daily and wishing everyone the best of luck. It is such a journey for us all, cant believe how far we've come... so quickly!!!

Hey Gals.. sorry i have been slacking on posting. I am lurking all the time. Seems I always start a reply but never finish it. I know. I am a dork. I am a little over 34 weeks and everything is going great. Perintologist was congratulating me the other day on having an awesome pregnancy so far. Had an u/s last Monday and baby Jake is on track. Reading a few days ahead of scheduled and weighs 5lbs. I am still worried about his weight cus I still haven't gained any. He was in the 84th percentile on weight in Aug, then went to 58th in Sep and now is in the 50th percentile. I know all the measurements can be off so i am trying not stress over the fact that he is just average.. LOL!! I had my first baby shower yesterday. got lots of lotions and diapers. some toys and some clothes. I have gotten 2 big truck loads of stuff from my sister so i think i have about everything. Still need to get the crib mattress and some sheets. I can't believe he will be here in less then 6 weeks. here are some pics from my baby shower. hope they aren't too big. I love the letter that my friend got me. They match the winnie the pooh bedding that we have for the babies room. Oh and my 34 week belly shot. Everyone tells me that i am not that big. I say tell that too my bladder when i have to pee all the time.


OK yep they are big I will have to figure out how to get them smaller later on. The one pic is of a card that my Lil Bro gave me. I thought it was pretty funny. Yep, i tortured my brothers and DH's best friend and made them come to the shower.

Crashing for Chris

I cant believe that you've only got 6 weeks left! That is so exciting! I dont get to read half as much as I'd like to, but where the heck did the time go? It feels like you were just halfway there and now you're so close to having your little boy in your arms!! Its surreal isnt it? I think the first week Ryan was home we couldnt take our eyes off of him and sometimes its still hard to believe that we were blessed with these amazing little babies. I hold a special place in my heart for us "Jeez, it took forever for us to get BFP girls" so I have to check in when I can. I love the pics you posted! Your cake was adorable, your brother's card a riot and the letters look gorgeous! I'm so happy for you girl! Your whole world is about to change in the best way. Much love to you mama- xoxoxo

Oh, I almost forgot - dont stress too much about the weight. I barely gained any until the last few weeks also and was surprised to be gaining 1-2lbs per week in my 9th month. You look great mama!

thanks tohavefun- you bump looks fantastic, as I understand it there are some women who just don't seem to gain weight despite growing perfect beautiful babes! If you'd like some of mine I can share I'm now 37 weeks and just hit 38lbs weight gain! I gained just over 40 with my son so the 2nd time around isn't quite so shocking as the first was. I thought I'd never return to my usual self....thank goodness for the increased metabolism with breastfeeding and I was able to get back to my usual human form

Katie99 - how are you doing? How's the baby? Thanks for checking on me. Time has just flown by.. I can't believe i will be holding my little boy in at least 6 weeks.

SD - Since i was already overweight, i think i would freak if i had gained a lot but I never imagined that at 34 weeks i would weight 7lbs less then i did when i got pregnant. As long as the baby keeps getting bigger I am good. I told my Peri that I was on the real HCG diet. He just laughed. Though i never set out to lose weight during pregnancy I will enjoy weighing less once I give birth then when i started. maybe the weight loss is payback for all the crap i had to deal with to get pregnant. LOL!!
