Do you have any idea why we don't get notified? That's just weird...

I ended up taking Ellie to the pedi today. He said it's possible she might have RSV (since RSV can display itself as a cold). He said it wasn't necessary to run any tests since she was breathing okay and her lungs sounded good. I thought she was wheezy, but I guess it was just mucous I was hearing? Anyhoo...she coughed a bunch, threw up on me, and the doc said---that's good...she's getting it out! Whatever....Braeden started coughing last night, so I know we're in for more. :?

How nice that you can do music lessons while your DS is in preschool! Sounds like fun! I actually signed the kids up for another swim session (dh is annoyed because it means he can't sleep in on Saturdays....I want to know what sleeping in is? :x ) The kids start kicking and giggling as soon as they see the pool. I couldn't pass up the next session! Of course, I need DH there...can't swim with two infants at once.

We're getting ready for a HUGE snow storm here. Maybe a foot in some places. Oh spring, come on already!

good luck on the snow... it's all missing us.... sorry for you, but i think we've had enough snow.... we have had over double the snow this year then our average...i hope that we are done with the snow... it's really cold here for march... single digits at night and maybe 20's during the day... i can not wait to getr rid af all the heavy coats...

good to hear that ellie is doing ok (well per the doc).... don't you just love docs... it's like the kids have snots everywhere and are coughing up a storm... and they are like... at least they are getting it out... hope the braeden can avoid it, or maybe not get it so bad...

good luck on the swimming.... DH-sleeping in... that's funny... my DH says the same thing, but Gavin is usually up by 6:00 for the day... sleeping in, i'd take just sleeping through..

i tried to stop the night feed.... and now he is so constipated, i think that maybe he really needed the extra milk... so back to fedding, untill i can get the little stinker to take more through a cup.. he is just being difficult... he is different them my other 2 DSs... my other two wanted people food, and did not want the baby food, where Gavin wants the baby food, and does his no no no no with the head movements and the tight closed lips.... i did not think that he would be the same, but i thought that all babies would want real food over the processed mush... i can get him to have something here and there, and we try all day long... DH says that he is stubborn like me... (i'm not that stubborn)

well, have a good weekend, and try not to get snowed in..

Just wondering...does he like yogurt? That seems to make my two really do some damage in their diapers! Yobaby is pretty good.

Hello Girls....

Once again I'm sorry for being MIA - I hate that we don't get notified of new posts anymore... that was my way of remembering to check in. Now I just have to make an effort to check every day.

Colleen - Gavin is so adorable.... I just love his big smile. Congrats on all of his teeth... hopefully no more biting from him (ouchie)! Well they are saying almost 50 degrees tomorrow... hurry up Spring and get here. Also sorry to hear your tot class wasn't so good... I'm sure it was caused by cabin fever! I hear ya about bike rides, walks, etc.... I'm going crazy!

Ellie- Izzy is so precious.... congrats on her 2 teeth - hopefully the rest of them are as easy as these two. Also congrats on the new puppy... your very brave for taking on a new puppy along w/ a baby.

Kim - Ellie & Braeden are getting so big.... they are so cute! Sorry to hear that your play date was a mess - hopefully they'll be well rested for the next one. How is Ellie feeling? Better I hope... hopefully it will get warm enough outside to open all of the windows and let those germs out... I can't wait. Congrats on Braeden's teeth.... is he crawling yet? Pam & I are actually meeting up this weekend for St. Patty's Day.... should be a crazy day/night!

Well Aubrey is doing well... she is now crawling all over the place and getting into everything (dishwasher, pantry, etc). no more sitting down.... she has also cut 3 teeth (2 bottom teeth and one of her I teeth - kind of strange.... she's like my little vampire). Well we had our 9 month checkup a few weeks ago and she is weighing in at 19lbs. 7oz. and is 29 1/2 inches long.... she's getting big (almost as big as Gavin). The doctor did hear her heart murmur on her 9 month checkup so we just had to take her in for an ECHO - the technician didn't see or hear anything so that's a good sign.... we should have the official results this week. Other than that we are just waiting for Spring/Summer so we can play outside.... she is going to be so much fun this year - we can't wait.

Well back to work girls... I'll check in tomorrow for sure!

Tasha--This is weird....I haven't gotten a notification in WEEKS, and then all of a sudden, I got one today when you posted. What's up with that?

Sorry to hear about the murmur. Is this a new development? I don't remember. I'm sure all will be ok. Give Pam a hug for me! I miss her so much. Aubrey's getting in the dishwasher? Yikes....can you lock yours? I better check ours out. Ellie LOVES to explore the kitchen. Luckily she can't pull the cabinets open yet (THank GOD for an old house with sticky cupboards...). But, I do have an island in the kitchen with open shelves--I put our tupperwear there, so every night when I'm getting dinner ready, she crawls into the kitchen and takes out every piece and plays with it. She's so funny because she giggles and acts so proud of herself! She's now trying to teach Braeden how to do it. He can't pull himself up yet, so he doesn't do too much damage.

We're still recovering over here. Plus, we got smacked with a foot of snow! Ugh! Luckily it's supposed to hit 50 later this week, so I'm tuning up the stroller and we'll be hitting the park! We have an AWESOME park nearby, and I can't wait to take the kids there. Braeden now has 2 teeth nubbins. Ellie's working on her third. Braeden's also saying da-da (I think?) Ellie's too busy right now to talk. Maybe later?

Hope you all are well!

Colleen, is GAvin sleeping any better?

Hello again girls... see I told I would be back again today! However, still no email about new posts... HMMMMM?

Kim- actually Aubrey was born w/ a murmur, but it seemed to go away until her 9 month checkup. That's why we had to take her back for an ECHO last week. Hopefully the test shows nothing and she'll be fine... my fingers are crossed. I'm sure I'll be giving Pam tons of hugs this weekend.... drinking always makes me friendly! :D Well Aubrey only gets into the dishwasher if the door is open - she doesn't open it herself... sorry if I scared you on that one. Ellie playing w/ the tupperware sounds so cute.... hopefully she'll be creative in the kitchen when she grows up. Yeah the weather is supposed to be nice for the next few days... bu then get cold again. I wish it would just stay warm... I hear ya about saying da-da... that is all Aubrey has been saying for several months. She is a Daddy's girl... she just lights up when he walks into the room.

Well off to lunch.. I'll check back soon.

hi there girls... good to hear that we are all waiting for the warmer weather....

Kim- as for gavin sleeping... not by a long shot.... lord help me... he was up so many times (5 i think) i was not feeding him, then he would get up in 30 -45 minutes... not feed again, and up in 30 min... then gave in and fed and slept 2 1/2 hours and repeated the process.... DH says that i should just feed him the first time, then run to bed and fall asleep.... this kids just does not want to sleep through the night.!!! love the pictures... they are such cuties.... i'll have to post a few when i'm done here... sorry about all the snow... i heard that some people got 20inches... hopfully the warn weather will melt all the snow this weekend. As for yogurt.... he likes mine, but i bought the yobaby, and did not take more then a bite.. i'll have to try again.... not sure if my kind is ok for him...

tasha-i'm sure that aubreys heart murmur will be fine... i've had one my whole life, with no negative outcomes.. Gavin too loves the dishwasher and the fridge... he tries to climb in when ever it opens.... it's funny.... he'll be across the room and hear it open, and crawl like crazy (he is REALLY fast) to climb into the fridge. congrats on the teeth...some kids get their teeth in weird order... you'll have to post a picture. i can not wait to go outside!!

we are doing good.... still waiting for sleep... gavin is getting around to quickly... and standing there not holding onto anything... he loves dropping to his butt... thank goodness that we have the child safty stuff still on the cabinets... but he loves to go into the powder room and pull all the TP off the roll... i'm trying to get my older two to close the door after themselves... (DH too) spring needs to be here now... i want to go to the park, and let the kids run around and get tired... maybe gavin will sleep better after a huge dose of fresh air... we have a park right in the neighbor hood... can not wait!!!

well take care all
colleen...

i'm going to post a few pictures in a couple of minutes

Colleen--I LOVE the pics of Gavin! So cute! When did he start clapping? Mine still can't seem to do that, they clench their fists when I try to do patty cake with them... Sorry to hear about the sleep. Hopefully some outdoor playtime will wear the kiddo out! If Gavin doesn't like yobaby, he might like the plain whole milk yogurt by Stoneybrook farms (they make yobaby). It's organic, and you can buy a big tub of it. I do that now just to be more $$$, and then I mix our own fruit in. My kids love it. Maybe worth a try?

Nicola--wow, 8 teeth! You have to post a pic sometime soon.....good luck with your embie decision.

Tasha--good luck with the results on the murmur. I'm sure she's fine. Have fun on St. Paddy's weekend! Chicago is the BEST place to be for the green day!

As for us, Ellie is still moving and shaking things around here! She's also starting to climb the fridge--so fascinated! Braeden is finally making forward progress! Yeah! He's doing the army crawl, so I'm hoping he'll figure out those knees soon.

Bad news on my end though...I've been having some major pain in my left ovary for several months now. It's usu. around ovulation time (I'm on the pill btw....no accidents for me right now!). They've found a cyst that is fairly common in some women, and I guess these kind usually drain themselves. However, the doc doesn't think mine is, so I have to have a laproscopy in April. I've had several of these before (as I'm sure some of you have too...) due to my endo. But, there is a slight possibility the doc might have to remove my left ovary. She won't know until she gets in there to see how much damage, if any, there is. It's possibly a combo of endo and the cyst causing me all this pain. I kind of got weepy when the dr. asked, "Do you plan on any more children?"....DH and I decided long ago we wouldn't do IVF again (no embies to speak of), but we didn't rule out leaving things "to chance" at some point. She said even if I only have one ovary, I could still get pregnant (but talk about ANOTHER strike against me fertility wise), but it might be the only way to get rid of the pain. Ughhhh.....I honestly didn't expect to have the reaction I did. I KNOW I'm completely blessed with 2 beautiful healthy kids...I just hate to say "no more". Hopefully, all will be manageable when the doc goes in.  OH, and did I mention, I won't be able to lift the kids for two days after surgery? :? :?

hi there girls... we are almost 50 degress... i have my window open a pinch... i need the fresh air... the kids are funny... they think that they can put on shorts and run around... it's been so cold!!

nicola- good to hear that jack is doing good... and has a mouth full of teeth... did he get they all together or one just after the next..? good luck on the decision about the embie... that's a hard choice to make..

kim- sorry to hear about the cyst... i've had a few, one really large one that did not go away and had lapro a couple of times... hopefully they will just be able to drain it... i was told that after you have them, you are more prone to getting them... sorry about the lifting... is DH taking some time off?? i know that it's got to be hard to hear that fertility will have another strike against, but things can happen... look at my little miracle Gavin we were told only a 2% chance on our own, and got preggo inbetween cycles.. so if you do test chance there is a chance for more if you want later on, miracles do happen... we'll be praying that things go well, and they do not have to take the ovary out... when are you going to have it done?
i'll have to try the yogurt... everyone in the family loves yogurt... maybe i'll get the other kids to eat that kind also.. i'll look next time i'm at the store (which seems like every day) .. I was trying to remember when he started to clap... we've done "if you're happy and you know it" for so long.. at first i was clapping his hands, then he "got it" he stomped his feet first.. and now he screams when we shout hoorah.. it's cute...
go braeden army man..

well, hope that everyone has a great day

Colleen--thanks for the encouragement. I didn't realize that Gavin came in between cycles! I thought he was an ivf baby....wow! That's pretty cool! I'm not going to worry about my ovary until april 11th, when I have my surgery. If it has to come out, so be it. I've always had this perception that God would give us what we could handle, so if no more babies come, then I"Ll accept it. I just don't like to hear "no more". But, you're right. ANything can happen!

We had our 9 month check up today. DOESN'T SEEM FLIPPIN' POSSIBLE! Ellie was my tank weighing in at 20 pounds, 13 oz (about 28 1/4 inches), and Braeden was 18 pounds, 11 oz (29 3/4 inches). He's very tall and thin....slim jim! The doc gave them a great bill of health! He just wants me to keep an eye on Ellie's verbal skills. SHe doesn't babble very much, while her brother never shuts up! I just told the doc she's too busy to talk, she has crawling and climbing to do! (btw--did I ever mention I didn't talk til I was almost 3!?) Yeah, I've made up for that, huh?

hi there...

kim- we had gone through so many cycles ( like 10+).. my other two DSs are IVF icis babies... we were at a point when we were getting ready to start the BC before the stims... so i'll be praying for you on the 11th...God will give you only what you can handle.. holy cow... braeden is so tall, thin and handsom... and ellie is a real good size... is there a big difference in what they eat? or do they have different metaoblism?? are they saying ma ma and da da and stuff.... i think, like you said that she is just moving around not moving her mouth...
we tried the yogurt... did not love it... he was acting like he was gagging... it was kind of funny... oh well...

we are good here...I think that Gavin is dreaming and scared... he keeps waking up, and when he is sleeping i hear him giggle or let out a little cry.. he was up alot last night... He is now running around the house wth his walker, and getting brave.. he'll let go a lot more lately... he also makes a mad dash for the stairs... he has been climbing up them for a while, but now he races up them... talk about me flipping out... i so am afraid that he'll fall...

well, take care all and have a good day

colleen--mine are waking up from dreams too, I think? They're kind of talking in their sleep a bit. It's cute sometimes, but not at 4 am! :( Watch out for your stair climber. Wow!

As for my two, it's funny. Ellie is still a fan of the bottle, and she'll eat a good amount of her food. Braeden has never been a good bottle feeder (or breast for that matter), but he LOVES food. I think he eats more than she does. He totally takes after DH...tall, thin, and a male metabolism. Ellie totally takes after my family. SOLID people, for sure! Not overweight, just solid. My dad was an OSU football player, if that says anything. I wish Ellie would have gotten the thin genes. I know it'll bother her in junior high, etc. I just hope it evens out a bit as they get older. (My DH says he could never seem to gain weight in high school...he was a stick. I feel so bad for him... )

As for talking, Braeden's been babbling a lot. Ba ba's, da da's, and some mmmmmssss. All of a sudden (like 2 days ago) Ellie started making sounds. Yeah! She's saying mama and baba now. :D I guess we should have scheduled our ped appt. for a few days later, huh? Monday night she was up at 4 am ready to rock and roll, now that she knows how to say some stuff. Ugh!

I posted a video on the bucket. Braeden's crawling more now. It's a funny clip. Ellie kept getting in the shot!

love the video... it's really cute... i have a hard time with the video. as soon as Gavin sees it, he typically drops everything, and if he's standing drops to the floor to get to me faster... ellie is going to want to be in the spot light. 4:00am yuck... i thought that 5:30 was bad... hope that it passes quickly.. glad that ellie is talking... soon she'll want her own phone... it starts early now... my 6 YO DS wants his own cell.... no WAY..

i'll try and post a video..i did catch him not running for me.. and his brothers were distracting also...but Gavin yesterday figured out how to actually play with the truck... it was so cute. you could see him learning.. before it was eat or throw the truck, now he finally got the idea to "drive" it... and when it flips over he keep hitting it until it lands on the wheels... still needs to figure it out that he can turn the truck over...

take care.... have a great day... are you off now on break, if so ENJOY.. ours starts tomorrow and we're off till the 31st...
