I'm not exactly spacey...but I am SUPER WEEPY. Driving down to a meeting this morning (in horrible pouring rain), I sobbed when "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" came on the radio. I have NO IDEA why. Mostly I was proud of Johnny for beating that arrogant Devil.
And the scary part is that I haven't even started stimming. I am a wacko on Lupron!
Rinnie: Congrats! You must be so excited. Try to relax and get some sleep tonight. Just think, ten follies could yield two basketball teams!
LoveBug: The trigger shot burns, huh? Up to now, I have refused to think about the mondo trigger shot. I am not afraid of the pain, only of mixing it up wrong or administering it in the wrong place. (A truly kind nurse at our clinic has promised to draw a big target on my haunch when the time comes!) Good luck! We will be thinking of you and Rinnie! And personally, I hope that your luck works for you and everyone else on this thread this time 'round!
AdsGirl: I understand the need to check the thread and it is hard for me at work as well. I am living and breathing with each person's report. Enjoy your vacation.
JHarris: Wow...that patient reponse line sounds like a nightmare....especially if they are recording the messages incorrectly. Delighted to hear that your numbers went up. You are on your way, girl!
Turtle: Oh! Your poor DH! He must be afraid of hurting you. It's good that you are breaking him in before the biggies. Your story made me chuckle.
LB: Hooray for those numbers coming up! Really, try to relax and let your RE doing the worrying.
SDTrying: How you doing, girl? Have they given you a progress report on your embies?
For those of you who are swirling balls of stress: I read a book written by Harvard psychologist, Dr. Alice Domain, about the fertility mind/body connection. To reduce stress, she recommends a number of relaxation techniques including mindfulness. Being mindful means appreciating the here and now--a soft breeze on your face, the taste of cold ice cream, the smell of lilacs. This technique has been helpful for me because normally I rev ahead...thinking of the next steps and the what-ifs. It helps me (literally) stop and smell the roses.
Have a great weekend! I am visiting my 90-year-old grandmother and taking my in-laws to brunch.
