Rio- I'm so terribly sorry to hear about one of your twins. It really is normal to be attached to each baby even at an early stage. We don't know why stuff like this happens. It really stinks and there are no words to make it seem ok. I understand. Know that many of us understand and are here for you. As your pregnancy progresses, I hope your heart can embrace the joy of the surviving twin. I know it has taken me some time to embrace my pregnancy after losing my twins this past July. I'm so incredibly happy and afraid at the same time. Although in my heart I know all will be ok.

Mellow- My heart breaks for you. I'm so darn sorry to hear of this terrible news. Know that we all adore you and are here for whatever you need. You have been through tough times. You are a strong woman and will be ok. Sending a huge cyber hug.

AFM- I feel so sad to read of the news of Rio and Mellow. Just a few days away from the boards and things go nuts! This is the scary thing about this forum. I remember my last preg after treatment group...the drop off the eventually happened was so hard and scary. Me being one of the drop-offs! So now I know this is my time! This baby is coming home with me!

I'm feeling nausea on and off and very tired. Tomorrow will be 8 weeks. Yeah! Had to switch to some maternity pants. No sense in trying to wear stuff that doesn't fit!!!!! I have my next and last RE visit on Wed Dec 22. And then go to meet my new potential OB on Thurs Dec 23. Woohooo! Exciting times!

Gina - MS is gone, thanks to the meds. However... the Zofran is causing pretty bad constipation (TMI). We had a baby group to go to last Monday to fill out pre-first prenatal visit paperwork. On one of the forms was a "gripe" box to put all the symptoms we had... Mine was full. LOL Everything from nosebleeds to extreme nausea. But I promise to goodness, I am NOT complaining even a bit :D
)

What is up with the nosebleeds? I'm getting them too. It's horrible since I tend to get them at work and am not immediately aware of them. Hell, we even have a secret signal that the technicians can flash me if I get one while doing a lab tour with a client. I've had my blood pressure checked numerous times and it's fine - What else can cause a nosebleed?

Happy - your blood volume increases by I think 40% at the end of pregnancy so nose bleeds are common, I have had a bunch! Don't worry!

Hi Ryann - Great 3rd beta!!! WOOHOO!!! You may see a heartbeat at 6w3d, but don't panic if you don't. They often start beating between 6-7 weeks so you could miss it by days, even hours. At 6 wks all we could see were the gestational sacs with yolk sac, but by 6w6d we could see the heart beating. So the fetal pole grew and heart started beating in just those 6 days. Can't wait to hear how it goes and make sure you post pics for us!! :D

Thank you Karen, I know what you mean, last cycle I was the drop off because of an ectopic, now the loss of a twin, I am really hoping that this is it for me and I get to carry this healthy baby for another 8 mos. I am so sorry again about what happened to you. But I am glad you are trying to enjoy this pregnancy without being terrified. You have your iron clad cervix now!

Amanda - I am so excited for your NT, mine is Jan 24th and hopefully I will see my strong bean there. It is so fun to watch them do acrobatics. Post pics!

Ryann - great beta!

Welcome Karin!

Maternity pants rock! ;)

AFM - I am still recovering from my shock and trying to stay very positive for this little guy/girl I am carrying. I have an US on Thursday and I am terrified. Hopefully we will see the healthy baby growing even bigger!

Ryann - Another excellent beta!!! I agree with Amanda on the heartbeat. Maybe, maybe not. We saw our little beans' the day before my 6 week mark, though. It was VERY reassuring since the u/s was an emergency due to my first SCH bleed. So, it is possible that early. :D

Rio - Hang in there, honey! All will be GREAT with the baby, I just know it. :D

Bunny - I read that especially in your nose the blood vessels swell due to increased blood volume. Making them more easily damaged. Plus, it's super dry in my house due to the winter weather. I put a cool mist humidifier next to my bed and it's really helping.

Karen - It's graduating so exciting?!!! I finally got an OB today after almost 4 weeks of no doctor. I didn't get who I wanted because she was booked for the month of my due date, but the OB I got I'm sure I'm gonna love. I hope you and the potential OB hit it off so you avoid "doctor limbo".

Amanda - I had my first prenatal visit today. And since DH wants to be prepared if something's "off", I am scheduled for my NF scan tomorrow. I never did them with my other two pregnancies, but I like him to have an opinion that counts, so... I'm going to get stuck... yet again...

Apparently, my OB will have me coming in every two weeks!!! Lord have mercy that's A LOT of appointments! Also, I have to get a perinatologist as well. Boy, I thought the getting pregnant part was a hectic and busy time... Oh yeah, and I won't be able to work after 26 weeks due to the roughness of my job, if I can even reach the steering wheel up until then!

We also HEARD the heartbeats for the first time today! 150 and 160! DH has never heard a baby's heartbeat (though he has two kids) and was just amazed by how fast they were. So cute! :D

Hope everyone is doing great!!!

Congrats on your 8 week mark! I hit 12 today and am thrilled! We are exactly 4 weeks apart. Good luck on your RE appointment tomorrow - I think Christmas makes this time go by a lot faster.... Are you getting a home doppler???

Baby - blu - what do you do that you need to reach the steering wheel? :) So I have to ask, do you live with all 4 kids? Will this make Baby+DH+6 :) wow what a great wonderful and big family! Congrats on hearing the HBs, music to our ears!

Dandme - CONGRATULATIONS on hitting the 12 week mark! What a relief it is to hit all these milestones with a healthy bean! My US in not today but on Thursday so I will post as soon as I get back, thank you for your good wishes!

Hello girls I thought I would wait until the heartbeat to move over to this board but some girls on the other side suggested I make the move...lol I guess I will I don't want to upset anyone with my betas and stuff.

Sonya congrats on reaching 12 weeks yay! what a wonderful milestone...I can't wait to get there and hopefully feel a bit more confidant.

Rio again I am so sorry for your loss. I have heard many stories where one twin goes on to be a perfectly healthy baby so hang in there and you will get good news soon. I wish I had the words to deal with the emotional pain...so sorry...hugs

Mellow I am thinking about you and sending you my prayers.

Ryan how are you feeling? any symptoms? ugh I wish our 3rd beta was sooner than Thursday I hate the wait. Every time I feel like I have more energy or something I get alarmed...but trying to have PMA

Kerenthescorpio congrats on reaching 8 weeks!! I hope to be there soon. Strange part is I already have to wear pants that are loose in the belly. Not maternity pants yet but I no longer have a flat belly at all...did you have that?

baby blue congrats on hearing the heartbeats!! it must have been so wonderful I can't even imagine

AFM just waiting. My first beta at 14dpo was 247 and 16 dpo was 725 so I don't get a third beta until Thursday at which point I will be 5 weeks exactly. RE wants to do an ultrasound on Thursday but I am not sure what can be seen so early. Has any of you done an u/s at 5 weeks? I guess maybe just the sac itself... On another note we are really not telling people yet but I told my mom and my sister (they are my bestest friends) but 2 days ago my brother and his wife found out they are preggers and are too afraid to tell me...ugh I want to tell them so bad but I know I must be good at least until Christmas...how do you girls make it through this without telling...I wanna shout it from the mountain top :) but I know I know I should wait...lol

Annas - You should be able to see a sac but really don't expect much since 5 weeks is very early. I had an early US and wish I hadn't because you just overanalize everything! Just go in with low expectations due to it being so soon! I hope they see a lovely sac in the perfect place!

Karin - so great to see you here!
