Kelly: As others said, don’t throw in the towel yet! It could actually be a good sign to have some spotting. Some implantation bleeding? Maybe you should talk with DH about considering a little POAS...just a tiny tinkle? Maybe tomorrow or Sunday? Think about it....and keep up the PMA whether you give in to the stick or not.

hello ladies..

we are back from a 1 week vacation and i have stopped my BCPs and is all set to start the cycle..cant wait to start pricking..(hopefully from monday?)..

love all the blinkies you guys come up with..margi,you top the list!! and rio..loved the xmas baby blinkie..i hope it turns out true for all of us in the forum..

Hi ladies! Sorry for posting so late. Ive had family arriving all day and then we went to the hospital and brought all of Aimee's nurses christmas candy, homemade banana bread and homemade fudge. Tomorrow morning we'll be getting up early and taking a homemade turtle cheesecake and homemade strawberry trifle for their Christmas luncheon. It was so nice to see all of them. Even though Im diabetic and cant eat those goodies I love to bake and it helps calm my frustrations. I took an EPT this morning first thing and got a negative. Also did my internet cheapie and my faint line was gone. Im totally ok with it. I know the numbers were low going in. There are going to be other months and new cycles! So its all good!!

I read the thread every day to check in on my Summer & Fall cycle group friends and it looks like this thread is going to be full of BFPs! Lou - 2011 is THE YEAR for me too. Dammnit. I thought it would 2009 and I thought it would be 2010.... but 2011 IS IT! (there, that's my entire PMA for the day....) Any idea if you ovulated today (and AF is on track)?

Anna - I'm so happy for you! Yay for a great ultrasound!

Margi- it must be so hard to work in your job and deal with your infertility. I just have to deal with annoying pregnant women in my office (there are currently 3 - out of a company size of 30 - isn't that crazy?), it must be so hard to see all these kids who aren't getting the lives they deserve and you can't have your own to raise properly. Do you find the work really rewarding? Have you considered a new job? Something that deals with adults instead of kids?

Heather - I really hope that BFP is there! Take a picture anyways, maybe we can use 'computer magic' to make that line show up really clearly!

I had also heard about that couple that allowed you to vote on whether they should abort or not.... Fucking awful. They are now past viability and no doctor would abort her pregnancy - but that was a really awful thing to do.


kbillsy - I am so sorry about your BFN. That sucks. I have moved you to the top of the list again. Hopefully 2011 will be your year too..

Rio - that is absolutely fantastic news! I totally understand the feeling of loss for the other twin - try looking up message boards for women who have lost one of a multiple pregnancy. There is a group called CLIMB (center for loss in multiple birth). They'll have ideas of ways you can celebrate your baby while honoring your angel. I try to see my family once a year. It's now been a whole year since I saw my mom, and we have no plans to meet. But things are quite strained between us at the moment. I speak to my mom about twice a week - and try to reach each of my younger sibs (21, 19 & 17 yo) once a week (but they are all too busy to talk to me!)

Ginger - I hope those embryos are snuggling in really good. Happy holiday to you too!

Hope - I hope your meds got there okay! Must be the Xmas rush messing with FedEx's delivery schedule. I work with FedEx daily (shipping internationally for work) and the Xmas rush has them all messed up.

Katie - wow! 820 at 16dpo! With my twins, I was 450 at 17dpo. How many embryos did you transfer? That is a GREAT number. When is your ultrasound?

Kelly - I really hope that isn't AF. Remember that with IVF, your uterus is especially full of blood. Spotting/bleeding is super common in IVF pregnancies....try to keep your hopes up. Call your clinic and say you started bleeding, maybe they can move your beta up for peace of mind.

Margi - oooooohhhhh. I really want that BFP to show up soon for you!

Lauren 1711 - thanks for the sentiment for us Jews on here - but Hanukah was over more than 2 weeks ago! Happy Holidays to you!

AFM - no Christmas here at all. The only reason I'm not working on Christmas is because it's a weekend. Sometimes it's weird to be living here (even though I never celebrated Christmas while I lived in the USA - it was EVERYWHERE)
My appt with my RE is Monday.... we are still trying to figure what is best for us - another IVF/ICSI, donor sperm, embryo adoption, waiting, etc... we'll ask lots of questions and hopefully get some answers that help us decide what to do next.

Also - tomorrow (December 26) is my twins' first "birthday". I can't believe it's been a whole year. One year ago today, I was in labor in the hospital - waiting to give birth to the son and daughter I knew would be dying as soon as they were born..... I can't believe that actually happened to me. Even crazier, I can't believe that after a full year of non-stop IVF treatments, I'm not yet pregnant again. Sometimes I wonder how the f8ck my life turned out like this....

Happy birthday babies, wherever you are. I hope you know that your mommy and daddy love you and miss you everyday. Take care of that little baby sibling that joined you in September.....

Wow I just wanted to check in with everybody this Christmas afternoon. I know alot of us are grieving in the loss of our little angels today and what could of been their first Christmas. This morning I laid in bed visualizing what it will be like one day with the sound of the little ones feet running into our bedroom waking us up "Mom, Dad can we open gifts now?" It brought a smile and tear to my face at the same time. Instead of beating myself up too much, dh gave me the greatest gift of all, cooked me a nice breakfast, and then we walked over to watch my neighbors little girl open presents. We spent Friday night with the same neighbors, invited them to our candlelight service at my church and I was more than happy they joined us.

Today we took our Labs, Blackjack and Vegas out to the beach for a walk. It was slightly raining, but it wasn't cold so I pulled the hood over my head and bared it. I knew a walk on the beach is this tradition we've started no matter what, since it's just the two of us living down here, so that's how we usually spend our Christmas afternoon. After we walked the labradors, dh put them back in the back of truck, and met me back down under the boardwalk pier. The pier was the only dry spot on the beach and we stood there and watched the waves crash up on the shore. The water was emerald but looked edgy and rough, and I told dh this seemed symbolic of our ttc journey...We have gone through some rough patches just in the past year. The pier seemed like a long hallway and looking far out into the distance we could see the horizon of the bright sunny light. We stood there for a few moments and just prayed together.

We know nothing in life is guaranteed but we have to make the best out of a given situation & hold on to what we've got. Just like like the end of that pier, or a rainbow after the storm we have a bright future to look forward to. Sometimes we need a reminder that it's not what happens to us, but how we choose to react back that makes us stronger.
I'll be the first to tell you I cannot do this all alone.

It sure was a big box, alright! I do have to say, it was a bit overwhelming seeing all those meds. But I'm THAT much closer to having a baby (fingers crossed)

The babies are still snuggling in! I dont really feel anything. My boobs hurt pretty bad but thats it. Ive been looking for implant bleed, but seen nothing yet. Beta is on the 29th! Im staying happy and positive but keeping that little thing in the back of my mind that says its negative...only so i dont get so upset if it is that way.

This is a big week for some of us girls! PMA and STICKYNESS to you all...

And the ones just beggining! GOD will give you strength! Hang tight!!!!! I love this board because it reminds me im not the only one out there somewhere going crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leora - I know Hanukah ended lol...just figured I'd throw it out there too. I thought 2010 would be my year for sure! It sucks knowing so many pregnant woman. Since starting IVF, 4 close friends, my boss, and my sister in law all got pregnant and already had the babies!
