Kim

Great to hear from you - hope you're not too tired and exhausted after managing to speak to each of us!!!

Will keep my fingers crossed that when the big event happens it's as nice an experience as it can be.

Been having a real blitze on the nursery today - we're almost ready!!! I never knew how exciting all this could be. Starting to get everything ready for my hospital bag - I was told a small bag would suffice - well given the list of stuff I've been told I need to take it looks as though I'm going away for an absolute age!! Small bag - impossible, I've already overloaded a large weekender!!!

How's everyone's growth and weight going - it's amazing what the third trimester brings isn't it? I seem to be getting larger and larger all the time!!!

Very tired so am off for 40 winks - hope everyone is taking care of themselves and progressing well.

Big hugs to you all.

Little P

Wow Kim - what a fantastic message - you put me to shame, I don't know how you manage to do such detailed personals for everyone - Thankyou. Your advice was really helpful, I hadn't even considered the back to back issue so I'll be a bit more aware of that now. My baby definitely lies with its head buried in the placenta - like a pillow, that's why we had so much trouble with the 3d scan - 2ds were fine cos they scan straight through the placenta.

Much love to everyone else -- I'll try and do personals later in week but my back's really playing up today and my computer chair is really uncomfortable.

Happy resting everyone,

Cherylxxx

Hi 3rd tri gang

Hope everyone is doing ok this morning. Thanks to everyone for the advice about the babies movements. Perhaps this is one thing I can stop freaking out about.
Yesterday I took the plunge and bought a travel system (1st thing I have bought), I spent the rest of the afternoon in a dazed stupor. I'm sure if it was facing the reality that we may actually have a baby or if it was the feelling of tempting fate. I'm sure I'm the most neurotic mum to be!!

Cheryl - We have moved to Melton Mowbray so will give birth at the leicester general. There is a lovely birthing centre in Melton but due to the SPD I can't have my babe there. Sorry your back is playing you up, it's so frustrating isn't it.

Little P - You sound very organised. I think its about time I at least start thinking about our nursery. I know what you mean about getting bigger. I am huge, and wonder just where i am going to fit in another 3 months of growth! I was devastated yesterday when i had to get 36E bra, I am normally only 32B on a good day.

KIm - I am keeping my fingers crossed for an imminent arrival. You must be getting so excited now. You made me laugh with your broken rib story, hopefully my little man won't get that ferocious.

Hi to everyone else.

Olivia

Great to hear from you - sounds like you are blooming well!!!

Hope you are taking care of yourself.

Good luck and have fun with all the shopping - that's been one of the most enjoyable parts.

I have to admit that it's been worth everything I've been through to get here, I just love being pregnant and feeling Little One moving round.

Big hugs to all

hi girls
how exciting it is waiting for news from kim....it brings it back to us that were all nearly there
i cant believe that cheryl and i have only 10 weeks to go...do u think its gone quick cheryl??
weve been doing the nursery out this week painting and putting border up and buying spending buying and more spending ....im not a horder but when 2 ppl have had 3 bedrooms to spread things out in its difficult to sort things out i sorted small bedroom out and had 3 bags for charity shop and a car full of rubbish have half done the other 2 bedrooms just now im on a roll of being ruthless i want to carry on
buying the things for the babys room became an ordeal i started a few months back buying little bear design from babies r us off ebay,,,so after painting room on friday off we went to chester to buy the curtains and border(as i said before no baby shops in wxm) chester only had 1 border and we need 2...no curtains...the cots we had chosen were out of stock in babies r us and mothercare..it was 5.30 i was tired after being busy in the room all day the assistant in babies r us was horrible(which im going to write and complain about) i was in tears ..gawd wot a day
next day i phoned shrewsbury up and they had 1 border ..curtains ..so off we went back to chester 30 mile round trip then on to shrewsbury 60 mile trip just for the damn border...in all fairness my hubby who doesnt have much patiance didnt moan once just said i hope this baby realises wot we went thru to get this ......i told him i will make sure this child has it on the wall till hes at least 18 for all the trouble ha ha
have ordered the cot from two left feet and monitors as after sitting on the net for almost 2 days and reading thru books this was the cheepest and beter buy with free delivery...so if u havnt already looked its worth a peep i also found pricerunner really good site as it fetches up the cheepest place for things to buy
right time for me to go in shower and get myself off to the docs still got my bad cough but getting to feel a bit better just uncomfortable and tired.
hope everyone else is doing ok and looking forward to the happy event..
love to u all

Excellent news - keeping everything crossed that Gen has a wonderful natural experience.

Good news on the baby's head being down Gavin..
I'm about 4 days behind Gen technically and have no clue if its happened..
Hope the birth is smooth!

As for me, I get paranoid now if I feel the movements arent regular- getting nightmares which I wouldn't want to mention here, but trying to be very positive.
Minnows news was very cheery..

Kim,
I do hope your lil one doesnt make you wait much longer..Oh and my scan on the 13th went well thanks.. the amnio fluid levels were 13cm- which is 1cm lower than normal, but still acceptable..

LilP,
How're you doing?
You're less than a couple of weeks behind me- I just want to wish you a smoooth delivery in advance in case I'm unable to log on then..I have been spending my time imagining all scenarios- that is, being late, being early, having a smooth time, having a tough time..
Abt the injections- that is Heparin, I'm still on that- have been told to taper off the dose and perhaps will be asked to stop next visit..so hate them- have been on them since week 5 of pregnancy when i started heavy spotting.. but cant be thankful enough that babe is here with me and if its due to the injections, I wouldn't mind them till the end..

My hosp told me that they will allow no one inside the labour ward if more than one woman are in labour at the same time as me, so I dont know what to think..

Jacs and Cheryl,
Its wonderful we're all here isn't it?
I think this is the best part as opposed to the second tri which everyone feels is the best.. though I am uncomfortably heay, I'm at least at peace most of the time mentally..
Olivia,
How're you doing? Hope your lil man is kicking hard!Er, what is a travel system? NO clue..Duo you ladies think I may need something like that when I fly back to dh with bubs?
We have both thought we'll shop in Bahrain as the stuff we'd get there would be more suited to life there..

Sher,
Hope you're enjoying maternity leave..
Not long for you too..Another couple of weeks thats all!
Lots of Luck and good wishes being sent to you..

Christine,
Hows it going? Sleepless nights happening? or not I hope

Its been a loong post.. thanks for reading thru guys..

Take care all..

Excellent news about the fluid levels - that's such a relief for you!

I was on Heparin from just before EC - twice daily - but totally agree with you about the fact that if that injection has helped Little One all this way, then it's a small sacrifice to pay - a very small one!!!

Travel systems are a type of interchanging buggy - car seat, pram, etc in one. They are very popular over here - what type of buggy have you gone for?

I am finding myself more and more tired at the moment, hence less posts being made but will try and keep up with everyone's progress - it is incredible how you suddenly feel as though you hit a massive wall of exhaustion isn't it?

Anyway you take care of yourself and get plenty of rest won't you.

Hope everyone else is taking care.

Hi all,
Lil P - I know what you mean about exhaustion - I can't do anything at the moment - I taught on a one day workshop yesterday for a local university (for trainee teachers) and by the time I got home I was ready to pass out - that's definitely my last 'work' before the baby comes. I hadn't realised how much less energy I had until I tried to operate a 'normal persons' day!
Smita - I agree about 3rd tri - even though its uncomfortable and exhausting at least there is that peace of mind that if something happens our babies could be born now which is a huge weight off our minds. So pleased to hear your fluid levels are improved - that's great news.
Kim - Best of luck with the imminent arrival of little one - can't wait to hear your news.
Jacs - we're getting so close now - can;'t believe how quick its going. I'm painting the nursery today and the cot and everything arrives next week!! You sound like you've been very busy - try not to do too much - it must be really frustrating having to travel so far for things. Sounds like you've found some good bargains though. It's lovely buying little things and indulging ourselves isn't it? Do you know the sex of your baby? I think you said it was a boy but I'm not sure and my memory is really bad!
Olivia - Have you started antenatal yet at your new hospital? Its a shame you can't use the birthing centre but at least you'll get the support you need for the SPD - How is that goiing? Are you still in a lot of pain?
Gen and Gavin - great news that you're nearly there and all is looking good - best of luck for the labour - hope it's as painfree as possible.
Christine - what's motherhood like? Delicious? Can't wait to join you
How is Minnow doiing? I think I've got out of touch with her news - sorry Minnow
Does anyone know what's happened to Esther - I wonder if her back is better?

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone - apologies if I have,

Cherylxxx

We just have a couple of things to finish in the nursery, then everything is done. Monitors, buggy, etc all bought and ready for Little One.

Spent ages getting everything washed and ironed!!! Oh well, a good preparation for the times to come no doubt

Going shopping with my Sister-in-Law on Monday - just to do those final bits - and then it's rest, rest, rest!!!

How is everyone else getting on - Kim and Katy any news yet? Julie and Mil, wishing you loads and loads of good luck and fingers crossed for you all.

Big hugs

Hi all - there's some news from Kim on her own thread - I won't spoil it by saying here as she hasn't been on here yet, but go there next everyone if you haven't been there already.
Jacs - I've seen a lovely Fisher Price swing that has music, sound effects etc and moves in different direction - it also has a mobile that moves too - its universal and I think it might be an aquarium name or somethinmg. We tried oit out in John Lewsis but at £99.00 it seemed a bit steep so I'm goiing to hunt for one on the internet - I'll let you know if I have any luck.

Lil P - I've heard about the whole washing thing and I just wondered exactly what we have to do? Do we just wash everything once on a basic 40 degree wash? Or is there anything more complicated to it that that? I'm scared I'll do something wrong - any rules with types of powder etc? Sorry to be a pain,
