thanks guys - y'all are the only ones in the world (besides David) who really understand what it means to finally have a FET date for Sunday. It's the excitement of new chances, the resentment of NOT being 20-odd weeks pregnant, the fear of the same thing happening again (BFN, missed miscarraige, stillbirths) -- but knowing that I can't change anything and can only move forward!

Karin1 - congrats! That's why we all obsess about POAS. It can be devastating, but also thrilling!

Karain - I'm so sorry for your BFN. Hopefully the new year will bring new luck.

Lauren- maybe take some iron supplements just as a precaution. I'm slightly anemic to being with - and after the brutal bleeding after my D&C and a brutal post-miscarriage AF - I was nearly passing out. Some iron supplements may make you feel better in the long run.

Rio - I love babycenter (although waaaaaay too depressing to be on there now). I'm a big poster in the community forums when I'm there (unfortunately, a big expert on "twin loss" and "TFMR" boards....:( )

For all the POAS a holics --- I really enjoy wasting my time on a website called "canyouseealine.com" - people post pics of their HPTs and you vote if you think it's positive or negative! super fun!

Heather - still waiting for AF? How many more days of progesterone?

AFM - Sunday is only 6 sleeps away! I'm getting psyched for this FET. Not getting my hopes up too high that it'll work - but at least I'm doing *something*!

Tammy - Good luck with ER today! Let us know how it goes as soon as you get home.

crystal - Good luck with your u/s today! You had a long wait for that u/s but let us know how it goes. I know those betas were high so I was thinking you're having twins.

karin - Oh, I hope they'll move your beta up! And no, I really don't feel pregnant. The last week I have had to nap in the afternoons and queasiness just comes and goes, but that's it.

jennieswa - How are you doing? I know you had that one beta last week and were going for your repeat last Wednesday but I don't think I saw how that one went. Hope you're ok!

Morning everyone... I've been reading but not having time to post personals.

Just wanted to wish everyone luck and love....

Noticed that Amanda said she wasn't feeling very pregnant, and wanted to add to that... I'm not really feeling anything either except exhaustion and that tightness in my stomach. If I don't eat, I feel nauseas, but that's about it. I know I'm pregnant, but only because I had the ultrasound and the pulling sensation. A healthy pregnancy does not always mean throwing up and feeling horrible - thank god. I'm not sure how I would handle that on top of the exhaustion.

Hi girls!

Taking off here shortly for retrieval at 12:15pm. I'm soooo nervous...cause I found out yesterday that I am getting the new doctor...the one who everyone on my local mommy's board hates because he is an arrogant asshole (to quote them)...they all know him from another hospital and my doc and him switched places. I am not happy about this at all...but what can I do now.

Karin...WOOHOOOO!!!! SOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! I hope you can get an earlier beta date.

Karian...I am sooo very very sorry. So sorry about the shot, too. Ugh. Big Hugs.

Leora....Yayyy for a FET date on Sunday! Yes, I will only be 1 day ahead of you in the 2ww. Soooo cool!

Ryann...Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Lou...I am sooo sorry about the blocked tube. Ugh! When are you going to catch a break? I hope 2011 brings you much luck, love, and a baby too. You deserve it! Oh heck, Happy Birthday yesterday...I really meant to get on here and tell you that yesterday...I'm so sorry. You were on mind though...it's the thought that counts? lol

Sonya...I never had morning sickness either...I just had really weird symptoms. lol

Crystal...Good Luck today on your u/s. Cant wait to hear all about it.

Jennie...Hoping and praying that all is well.

Kbillsy, Lauren1171, and Mishell...How are things going? Approx ER dates?

Heather...I hope AF shows very quickly for you.

Lauren1171...Good Lord, AF sounds horrible! What the heck. I hope it is over now.

Rio, Kynlee, Amanda, Karen, and Lauren and everyone else I missed...How are you girls? I hope you are all well and much love to all.

December 2nd is going to be a huge day for alot of us! Very exciting week.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my friend's little Zachary...I am sure she appreciates it. I have no update yet.

Tammy good luck at your retrieval!! As for the doctor, well... you don't need him to romance you, just harvest your eggs. LOL Sometimes the most arrogant ones are the most skilled. All you can do now is see what the guy is like for yourself. Yay for your big day - take it easy and give the fert report tomorrow when you get it..

I had my lining check this morning and for once in my life ALL WAS PERFECT! Lining was 9.9, no cysts! FET is set for Friday at 10am. I burst into tears because I was sooo prepared to be pushed back again and I wasn't! I still hate my RE, but at least I'm getting my babies on Friday!

I'm going to do personals right now, but it may take a while!

Tammy...GOOD LUCK at ER! I hope it all turns out perfectly and that this new doctor has good reason to be arrogant because he is AWESOME! I don't like my RE much either, but I just hope she gets the job done :) Looks like we will get to be 2ww buddies after all! We were supposed to with your last cycle but I didn't make it that far!

Leora...We are pretty much FET twins, except I am transfering 3 day embies and you 5 day. My beta is 12/15 and we have the same due date! I totally always figure it out too and my DH HATES it! I'm such a planner and a look aheader that it drives him nutty! I start progesterone Wednesday to prep for Friday! I'm so glad to have some people to go through the crazy 2WW with!

Karin...I am soooo thrilled for you! And good for you for being a bum! Let us know if you get an early beta! I can't wait to see some good strong numbers!

Karian....You have such a positive outlook and I so admire you for that. Wishing you the best of luck in the new year!

Rio...SO glad to know that the OHSS lbs are going away! You will be able to enjoy this pregnancy in NO time!

Lauren...Sorry AF is being such a witch! Take care of yourself!

Klinger...Finally is right! I can't believe I'm finally here!

Ester...I am so, so sorry. My heart just breaks for you.

Thank you to everyone for the prayers for my dad this week. We are all quite nervous as we get close to the surgery, but I know it needs to be done. The poor man can't even walk anymore without his heart hurting, so it is time. We hope this is it, because from here they have NO clue how to help him anymore. His brother who was born with the same condition is just starting to go through what my dad was going through over the summer, so we are hoping that they can help my dad and know what to do for my uncle when his time comes. I am taking the day off on Wednesday to be with my family at the hospital and I am taking Friday off for my FET as well. I am hoping that all will go well Wednesday and I won't need to take Thursday off as well...I think ym students will go a little nutty without me here for that long!

Ryann -- Hooray for the green light for FET on Friday! You will have success!

Ester -- Aw geeze hun... I'm so so very sorry. It really sucks. I was really pulling for you. What are your next steps?

Karian -- I'm really sorry for your BFN. <hugs>

Karen/Klinger/Kynlee/Tammy/Karin -- Thank you all for the birthday wishes! I did have a nice day.

Karin -- Congrats on a + HPT! Can't wait to hear your beta! That's great news.

AFM -- I have an OB appt this afternoon about scheduling surgery to fix my blocked tube. Here's my concerns.... is it possible that the test was WRONG and my tube isn't blocked? It showed it was completely blocked... like no dye entered even part way.... right at the opening in the uterus. Could the catheter have been blocking the opening? I had a hysteroscopy and saw the opening to both tubes in my uterus and from that view, they looked normal. I'm puzzled. I kinda want the doc to look inside before cutting me open, but I was told they do both at the same time. Ugh! My other idea is to call my RE and see what he says about the whole thing. I don't know what to do. I want it fixed if there's a problem but want to make darn sure there is a problem first.

Hi ladies! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! For a 4 day weekend, it sure went by fast :(

Karin1 - congrats on your BFP - so happy for you!

Ester and Karain - sorry to hear about your BFN - it is so frustrating when you want it so badly. I hope you are both planning your next steps and staying as positive as possible.

Tammy - hope your ER is going well - I can't believe you already triggered!

Lauren1171 - that is crazy that you are still bleeding - it sounds like it is winding down so I hope it is almost over. Glad to hear they are continuing with your cycle.

Rio - congrats on getting rid of your OHSS - sounds like you had quite a time with it!

Karen - great 2nd beta - you are well on your way!!

AFM - I'm not sure what to do but am considering canceling my cycle. Here's why... I went in for my SnS on Friday and there were only 3 measurable follicles and my estrogen was only at 42. They raised my meds but had me hold off on the cetrotide. This morning I went in for another SnS - there are 4 measurable - 1 lead that is over 16mm, two that are ~9mm and one ~7. I haven't gotten the results of my bloodwork yet. This is probably our last IVF effort for the foreseeable future and I was really hoping for much better results than what we had on our 1st two IVF and the results on this one are worse so far. Typically only ~half the follicles have eggs and then only ~half fertilize. So if we only have 3-4 to start with we will be lucky to end up with 1 that fertilizes. I feel like the odds are against us so I'm thinking if I cancel it now or change it to an IUI instead, I can save the rest of my meds and the bulk of the medical procedure costs for a new cycle. What do you guys think? I'm having a hard time weighing being positive and hopeful with the reality that my stats reflect so far.

Lou - a tube can spasm during the HSG procedure making it appear to be blocked. If the dye did not enter the tube at all there is a chance that that is what happened. Otherwise you'd see the dye travel up the tube at least partially and stop at the site of the blockage. Can they repeat the HSG perhaps with light sedation to see if that may have been the case?

Leora: So glad that you got your “groove” back so to speak  Keep up the PMA

Tammy: Hope that retrieval went well and that you are resting..can’t wait to hear your report. And yes, keep that kitty away from your belly!

Karian: So sorry. ((HUGS)) We are all hear for you as long as you need, whenever you need to vent, whatever. You are such a strong woman, with such a good heart and priorities in order. Hoping that the new year brings you all of your dreams.

Cheri: How are you? You are awfully quiet…hanging in there during the evil 2ww?

Sonya: Take it easy. Don’t overdo it. It’s ok to put yourself first…in fact, I highly recommend that you do. :D

Amanda: You too, momma! :D

Lauren(1171): Good gracious..can’t believe what a witch AF is being to you! I hope that you are taking some extra iron, or eating meat (if you aren’t a vegetarian). So glad that it isn’t affecting your cycle any!

Heather: Thanks for the well wishes. I am sure whatever you decide-IUI or FET will be the best decision for you and DH.

Rio: So glad you had a bloody nose! LOL (I just had to say that) Nutty woman! Really, so glad that you are getting some symptoms to help all this feel real to you. And Thursday will be here before you know it…although it is dragging a bit for me. What type of bird do you have? We have a pair of lovebirds. One is so super friendly.

Karin1: Yippeee!!!! So excited and happy for you!! Can’t wait to hear your beta—Wednesday, or maybe earlier!

Lou: Sounds like you need to have a chat with OB during your appt this afternoon to have him/her explain everything fully and answer all your questions. Sorry there is so much uncertainty. That is the worst, I think. Once you get all the information and make decisions, you can more easily deal with that--regardless of what it is.

Crystal: U/S today?! Can’t wait to hear how your bean(s) are doing!

Ryann: YIPPEEE!! So very glad that everything is on target for your frosties to come home on Friday! And prayers for your dad on Wednesday. I hope that all goes smoothly.

AFM: Trying to stay positive in the 2ww...but my PMA is starting to falter with each negative HPT. In 3 days I shall know...but until then I will keep POASing to help prepare me one way or the other. Sigh. There is still time...I will keep...Image

I'm having a hard time weighing being positive and hopeful with the reality that my stats reflect so far.
kbillsy - Do they have any idea why you're not responding well this cycle? Maybe it is worth it to convert to an IUI this time and see if they can figure out what they could switch up to make your next cycle better. I know a few ladies have had improved response after taking DHEA for 2-3 months prior to a cycle so that might be something to consider too. I'm sure others will chime in with their thoughts but keep us posted on how your b/w comes back this afternoon.
