Thank You Vicky!!! I have been racking my brian since yesterday. How have you and the little one been. You and Tina will have to give me boy advice. So far the biggest piece I've gotten is "keep it covered!" That seems to be a common thought among moms with boys! Now I'm a little nervous, sounds like I will get showered at every diaper change!

Hi - i just posted a picture of Amelie at 6 mths. Meg - Lucy is SOOO cute with her blonde hair, blue eyes. And Tina, Noah is so like his mummy - does everyone say that?

Amelie is doing really well - I am so pleased with her! She has started sleeping through - no more 3 am feeds - yay! Two solid meals a day helped with that - she is trying everything I offer her which is great. And she is being really good at falling asleep herself - I just switch on the lullabies and give her the rubber teething fish ( not the one I put in the microwave!) and she gradually falls asleep. What a little gem.

Hope you are all well.

How are the twinny beanies Nickster?

Hi girls...hope everyone had a great weekend!

Angie~ I love the pic of Ams! I can't believe how big she is already, and the same for all the other little ones in here. They've all grown up so fast! I just hope we're half as lucky to have kids as cute as the other sistas!

Tina~ How did Noah do on the road trip?

Jenn~ How have you been feeling? Do you have any boy names yet??

Well girls, morning sickness is definitely here! I haven't actually thrown up yet but I feel like crap about 90% of the day. Most of the time I feel like if I would throw up I would feel a lot better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. We have waited so long for this and I have looked at people through the years that have morning sickness and think "I would give anything for that". It's not fun but I'm still absolutley fine as I know it's a good sign that things are well.
This weekend was pretty crazy. We kept my 2 nieces and my nephew over night so my brother and sis-in-law could go out for the night. Between my sister and I, we do this quite often for them. They asked us last week, and again with noone knowing what's going on with us, we couldn't really say no! DH said "are you sure??". Then my Mom and step-dad were in town, so guess what that meant....they stayed here too! It would not have been too bad except I felt like total crap all while trying to hide it! On top of it all, our refrigerator broke last Thursday and of course they couldn't come until today, so that added even more fun to the mix!!! But, it's over, and we're pretty glad about it!
We have our first OB appt on Friday morning. Can't wait to see what the little beans are up to! It will be wonderful to see those heartbeats again!
Talk to everyone soon.

Nickster~ I am sorry you are feeling like crap! That is hard to hide, how do you do it? My experience was that throwing up never made me feel any better. When I have a virus it helps me, but for some reason when I'm pregnant throwing up didn't do the trick. Although I came close to doing it anyway several times! The only thing that worked for me was drugs! Thank goodness for those little anti-nausea pills! I still have to take them sometimes.

We don't have any boy names yet. It is hard to come up with any for some reason. But I do have his bedding picked out! And we went furniture shopping this weekend and found cribs we like.

Angie- a baby sleeping through the night after falling asleep on their own is a beautiful thing!! I am a happy camper right now getting plenty of sleep at night, isn't it wonderful?

Meg and Tina- I saw the pics and your kids are so cute!! I need to post some of Anna.

Tina- did you have a fun weekend in Houston?
Jenn

I knew I shouldn't have posted that post yesterday - last night AMelie refused to go to sleep - after 2 failed attempts we gave up and put her in her stroller and went for a long walk. Oh well - it was a beautiful warm evening - so we walked for an hour and got an ice cream on the way back - (so not all bad!!)

Nickster - you sound like you are doing brilliantly - good luck at the next appointment.

Off to mush up bananas now for Amelie!

Hello Sistas

I know I've been slack but I do check in almost every day and love the updates. Love all the new pics too. Gosh the sisters have produced a good looking bunch of babies.

Nickster a long overdue congrats on the twins. I am glad to hear that you are having morning sickness (in the nicest possible way of course!). Good work on the ticker too....i had trouble myself (explains why according to my ticker I have been pregnant for over two years).

Tina a belated two cents on the sleeping issue. I am also another sister who cuddles her baby to sleep, always have and still do. I have his bed next to mine too. Haven't even tried to get him to sleep by himself. Have done no reading on the issue either so don't know what problems I am in for, I am really sticking my head in the sand on this one. I just know that even when it takes an hour or more to get the baby to sleep I love that time with him...

Angie, great to have you back, sounds like you had a lovely break. Amelie has really grown up! sorry to hear about her lack of sleep the other night. Just when you think that you're on a roll...

Jenn your blog is on my favourites and i click on it all the time. Anna is gorgeous and congrats on your little boy, you guys are really living the dream! As far as the whole boy advice, I think the ducking advice is gold. Rio peed on me in the delivery room as they were trying to hand him to me for the first time. He peed on my face, nice, felt so glamorous.

Mego, Lucy sounds like a crack up. Hilarious. I'd better send Rio over so she can put him in his place. He seems to think he is in charge around here too.

Vicky, congrats on the new job, that is great news. How are you feeling about returning to work?? Will it be full time??

Robbo, sorry to hear about your dilemma about to try again or not. That is a tough one. I dread the thought of having to make the decision to stop trying. I can imagine I would waver too.

Well update from me. I am booked in for an appointment at the fertility clinic tomorrow. I have decided that I will go in and have all the usual preliminary blood tests but that I don't want to try anyting for another two months. I still have about 7 kilos to lose and it is mostly on my gut! I still look pregnant. Plus am really unfit and feel tired all the time too. Have to pick that up. Plus I have mixed feelings about going back to the clinic, I am kind of dreading it actually...gawd I am going to have to start bloody grooming downstairs again.

Luckily (in a way) DH has been asked to take leave from his work until the end of June because they have no work. Looks like the recession is starting to bite. He will be able to do a lot of the house work and give me a break, and spend time with the baby which he loves. I am really looking forward to that! Hope the awful economy is not affecting any of the sistas, it is a bit scary thinking about how long it will last and how bad things might get.

And on that cheery note I will say GOOD night!

Fee

PS will try to post pics of Rio soon..

Fee good luck with your appt. tomorrow! Let us know how it goes. I bet Rio would love a baby sister or brother!! Glad you enjoy the blog! I hope after the new baby arrives I will be able to keep up with it :D

OMG!! I am 20 weeks tomorrow. Halfway there! It is flying by.

Wow Jenn, 20 weeks have flown by! You inspire me to keep tyring natuarlly...I had my appt today. I have really mixed feelings about doing more treatment. I will have to think about what I want to do.

Angie, just a note to you, my doc recommended that I do another fresh cycle (even though I have one embie on ice) because the govt may stop funding IVF to the degree that they do. I asked him when he though that change may come and he thought that they may just spring it on us...not sure if that info is useful to you but I can only imagine the cost of IVF without funding...

Hi to all the other sistas!

Fee~ I know what you mean about not wanting to do more treatment. We talk about it like a 'cycle' is a walk on the beach. The reality is it sucks! I'm all for trying naturally, I have seen it happen too many times to believe it is impossible! good luck to you!

Fee-The "grooming down there" comment had me in hysterics. Man, it sucks, doesn't it. That's probably the worst part about IVF (besides the needles, the hormones, the money, the not knowing) Okay, maybe not the worst but still a pain in the ass. I have to keep up on my grooming because of swim lessons. I'll be sad when Lucy can take lessons on her own because it'll mean she's so grown up, but I will not miss having to put a swim suit on every week. It basically blows. I'm proud of you for going to the doctor. I'm on hold myself. I would like another one, but this am going to wait until after my sister's wedding in August before I really start to worry about it. She's getting married in Cancun! So I figure a Mexican vacation will be a lot better not pregnant! In the meantime, we're not doing anything to prevent a pregnancy (hey, it happened once!) but then again you actually have to have sex to make that happen!!!!

Well, I'm off to the casinos. Yep, I'm going gambling at 10:30 at night. On a week night~! Lucy is in bed, Dh will be shortly and I'm going to meet my 23-year old brother and his two college roommates at the boats! They are really cute boys, so even if I lose all my money it will be fun! My sister called me a "cougar". Cracked me up!!!!! I haven't had a night out like this in years! I'm sure I'll regret it in the morning when Lucy wakes me up at the crack of dawn, but oh well!!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip Fee - I have been chewing this over for a while now. We had a chat with our good friend Dr D end of last year - he basically said given I hit the big 40 VERY SOON we should do a fresh cycle sooner rather than later even if they all go on ice. (We still have 2 frosties) - really don't know what to do. Don't really fancy doing IVF, weaning Ams, going back to work, settling Amelie into child care and having more work done on the house all at the same time...........Hmmm!

Meg - you raver you! Hope you had a great night. I think I should be planning a night out soon to celebrate AMs sleeping thru - it's 4 nights in a row - it's fantastic!

Wow Meg..party girl!! Good for you! Everyone needs a night out from time to time. I hope you guys had fun and hopefully Lucy let you sleep in a little bit!

Fee~ Great to hear from you. Glad to hear you (and sounds like a lot of the other sistas) are jumping back into IVF. Good luck at your appt. today.

Jenn~ I cannot believe how fast time is going for you! You are officially OVER half way there! I don't remember if I asked you this or not but have you started on the nursery yet?

Angie~ So glad to hear Amelie is still sleeping so well (although I'm saying it quietly so I don't jinx you!)

Tina, Robbo, Vicky~ How are you girls?

Well we have our first OB appt today. Can't wait to see the babies again. I'll post later when we get back.

Hey girls, just got back from my appointment.
Both babies look beatiful and SO much bigger than the last ultrasound! It was amazing! Baby A had a heartrate of 177 and Baby B's was 180.
All seems to be perfect and we go back in another month for a check up.

Brilliant to hear Nickster - well done you. Will you be finding out if you have pink or blue ones?

Talking of pink - I love dressing Amelie in pink - she looks so cute in all shades but there are way too many pink baby girl clothes around - I am on the hunt for some new colours for her! I wish we had Baby Gap over here - you girls are very lucky ! Bye for now - Ams is sleeping and I have foolishly told DH I will do some work in the garden. What was I thinking?
