Just a quick update. I guess whatever they were looking for in my bloodwork came out ok. The took my gonal F pen down to 150 2nite w/ 5 units of Lupron. On Wednesday I have more bloodwork and my 1st u/s (follie count...hopefully). Then on Wednesday I take 112.5 units of the gonal F pen and 5 units of Lupron. They haven't told me anything beyond that. I guess the u/s will dictate what happens next.

first of all, thanks everyone for your well wishes for tomorrow. i'm so excited and nervous!!! i just keep trying to guess what they might say and why (its not a good thing!) and i've just read that they only accept cheques or cash and we wont be able to get the cash out by tomorrow so it will have to be a cheque...and then i thought what if they want the cheque to clear first before they say yes...blah, blah, blah...the bottom line is i'll just have to wait till tomorrow!!

welshbugger - lovely to hear from you hunny!! thanks for asking - i find out tomorrow when i can start. cant wait. loving your exercise plans, good on you!! and you prove your dh wrong!!

js2006 - yeah i wonder if there are special needles out there or something...nowadays you would think that they can do something in your position...let us know what they say!!

Hi Shantala,

First off I would like to wish you all the luck for tomorrow. I am hoping that you get the green light to go! I will be praying for you. Please update us ASAP! I will be waiting by my computer all day!

As for your question, I had to do IVF because I had both on my fallopian tubes removed due to a cyst and hyrdosalpinx (fluid of the tubes). Also my husband seman analysis can back and said that the normal amount of sperm was low and that is why we went with ICSI. Throughout my scans they said my utering lining looked great so I am hoping that my little pumpkins will stick around for the next 9 months. Also I had a son when I was 19 so I know that I am able to carry a baby to term.

It has only been 1 day since my transfer and I am already going nuts with waiting. I feel that this process has taught me a lot about patience but it is still hard to maintain a calm wait. I am trying not to get my hopes up to high so that I will not be completly crushed if this does not work. I just cant help but to think that it will for the fact I was blessed and had a baby already. I am trying to come up with a project or something to do to keep myself sane for the next 11 days. Plus next Saturday I have my best friends baby shower to go to and I think that is going to be hard as I will be wondering "is this going to be me soon" or "what if this did not work!" My son asked me the other day, as he is not aware of what we are trying to do as he is only 6, if I could have a baby because he wants a brother or sister. I almost started to cry thinking what if I can not provide him one. I was an only child for 15 years before my mother re-married and had my brothers. All I wanted when I was little and even now, a sibling around my age to have a bond with. I am praying I can complete my family.

OK, sorry for getting so emotional, AUNTY, I am blaming the meds! LOL! Thanks for listening!

Congratulations, Druiett! That's a fantastic number!

Well, I went for my second beta today and it was 2960! I am still in shock! My first sonogram is February 15. Until then, I am going to be a mess. Last time at my first sono was when everything turned bad. But, number were a lot lower last time and this time I am feeling better about things.

Well, I am off to make some phone calls. I will try to catch up later. There are so many posts to look at!

thanks for the explanation...i see what you mean about getting your hopes up when you have already carried a baby full term. it must be so hard not to get your hopes up. and i'm sorry to hear about your awful 2ww. especially when you have a baby shower to go to!!! i really hope it works out for you and you get your BFP!!!

dont know about you but do you find it hard not to get your hopes up coz of your age?? i find it hard as people keep saying "you're young so you'll be fine"...and although i know differently (especially seeing young people get BFNs on here or worse still getting BFPs and then m/cs) it's still hard not to think what if they're right....maybe, just maybe....

anyway, sorry, it might just be me...anyway, thinking of you lots and hoping your 2ww can go as fast as it can...

oh sorry fed, and the other thing i wrote originally was that your story about your boy made me well up...i know what you mean as i was an only child until i was 10 when my mum remarried and had my brothers...and i love it (although i tend to be more like a second mum, rather than a sister...know what i mean)...so really hope it works out for you!!
