I guess I should post an update on me. 3 nights of shots and I'm starting to get bruising. Last night's shots hurt a little more than previous, not sure why. I did notice last night after I gave one shot that a little seemed to come back out. I did what the IVF coordinator said and counted to 5 before pulling the needle out after giving me the shot. I might have to start counting even slower or maybe to 10 now. I go in tomorrow for more blood work and another u/s. I'm a little nervous/akward feeling because AF started Monday. I've never had an u/s while on my period.

NancyB - CONGRATS! You must be so excited!!!! You still have a while for your beta. At least you can feel a little less stressed.

Adkelp - They are thawing alot of them. I know the chances of them all making it aren't 100% but what if 5 thaw and are good, what'll they do?

The transfer went great! I got a pic the embryos. We transferred 4, so we will see. I go in for my beta on the 16th. Not too far away! Bedrest has been ok so far. It's really hard for me to ask people to do things for me though. I do have books to read and put some movies in the queue for netflix. I have had insomnia the past couple of days. It happened to me last time also. It must be the meds. I wake up super early and can't go back to bed. I guess I'll have plenty of time to take a nap!

I am a newbie; Sunshine and Wishingandhoping welcomed me from a different post and said to hop onto the Summer Board So here I am.

I had my RE appointment yesterday to start the process for my FET. Just waiting for AF (should arrive Monday 6/13) then I have to call my RE to schedule a water sono. I am not too sure of the FET procedure but RE told be we will most likley transfer in July. After thinking about it I should have asked so many more questions but I think I am very nervous and not too sure of what to ask... But he did say that there aren't many medications used in FET. I guess I will take it step by step.

I also have Hoshimoto Thyroiditis; an autoammune disease. I have been on medication for a year to treat but my RE is sending me for more blood work to make sure my blood doesn't contain any antibodies that may cause a miscarraige. I also have an appoitnment with my Endo on Monday 6/13 and hopefully my thoyrid us under control and don't need to take any medications through the FET.

Everyone is so kind and supportive on this board and its really nice to talk about IVF/FET with people that know what you are going through. Family & Friends are so supportive but I feel they totally don't understand.

Welcome, Tina. Glad you joined us. FET is definitely less visits to the RE and less meds too. I think our meds for FET cost around 400ish. (a lot less than for a fresh cycle) The one thing I've noticed with FET is that there are more IM shots than with fresh cycle -- at least it seems that way to me. As we all say though, whatever it takes, we'll do.

Kiminish -- I'm so very sorry about your BFN. This IVF road is a hard one. Take the time you need, spend time with your dh and meet with your RE to come up with the next step. Hugs to you. I'm so sorry. There simply are not adequate words.

Our IVF coordinator actually told us of that trick. She said to do it slow and when you've pushed everything in, count to 5 then pull the needle out. She said a lot of time people are so quick to get the shot over with that they don't wait enough time for the medicine to get in.

Went to see new re today for sono test, cultures, and mock trial.....17th meet with dr to discuss the protocol....round 4 here we come!

So excited I was suppose to have my FET on Friday, RE pushed it up to tomorrow 10AM. We are transferring 2.
Alley looks like we are on the same transfer day. Best of luck tomorrow.

Alleykittie- awesome ER 31 eggs, did you end up with OHSS?? If so lots of gatorade... How is your Fert report today?

kerpupples- My DH was trying to do some Vitamins for almost 4 mths and no change it actually went worse, so I had to move onto Donor But I am excited to start this new start with IUI

AFM- Sorry girls that I have been MIA, I was sick last weekend and have been busy with end of month at work so I havent had much time to get on... I have been thinking of you all and have been praying for all the BFP on this boards this summer I am waiting to Ovulate which I think should be Friday if its like last month and then I will go in for my first IUI DS arrived to clinic Thursday so just waiting patiently for it to be time

Hope you feeling well RMB, glad ET went well!!

AFM - 12 eggs retrieved, ET on Sunday. Need to do a 5dt because of PGD. PGD is happening Friday. They are calling me tomorrow with the fert report. As for how everything went …. I was super sick from the sedation, throwing up until about 2:30, procedure was at 8:45. Finally was able to eat something around 6. Still woozy and weak and crampy, just happy to be home in the comfort of my own bed/couch/bathroom with DH helping me any way he could

AFM- I had my beta checked yesterday and I'm finally back to zero. Now I'm just waiting for AF so that I can start BCPs for my FET. I've had some brown bleeding today, but I had that with pregnancy, so I'm waiting on red bleeding to call in with cycle day 1. I expect it will be very soon. It looks like Tina and I will be on the same schedule!

MadameX - Good job on the retrieval! 12 eggs is good. I know what you mean about being home in your own bed. I couldn't wait for that either. Especially with the ride home. It's an hour away. Good luck on your ET and keep us posted!

RMB- yeah, they are thawing a lot. We have a lot and they may not be good. We will see. If we get any good ones from this we will use them, if not, we have back up. After they thaw these we will still have 25 froze at pronuclear stage. I was an egg machine!

Nancy- RE just told us to decide and that he would do 1 or 2. Guess we will decide on the 23rd. Such a tough call.

Have you all ever done a little "get together" with the ladies on the boards?

Welcome AlwaysAngel and MaTina to the SummerBoard, you're in great company with so much love and support here. This board is certainly "buzzing" and looks like we will have several in the 2 ww by Friday!

RMB, yay girl you are PUPO! Try to get plenty of R&R and lots of movies, reading, maybe even write a novel... Anything to make the time fly but no heavy lifting, or house cleaning and yes that does include laundry and vacumning. Oh I wanted to tell you, I watched Blood Diamond last night with Dh and if it's one you haven't seen I would certainly recommend it!

MadameX, Glad you are home in the comfy bed and getting some rest, I know sedation can be rough. Keep us posted on how you are feeling... I look forward to tomorrow's fertility report, and the PGD on Friday. You guys may know the gender before implantation, how cool is that!

Wndrgrl, Thank you for suggesting the five second countdown for injections...Never thought about the med not going all the way in. Lol I'll probably be counting to ten too. It's funny whenever I POAS I always count 1 baby, 2 baby, 3 baby etc...lol just to make sure I don't count way too fast! Something about "envisioning" always helps too, even when dh is giving me the shot I try to lay back and envision a newborn in my arms. It makes it all worthwhile... Good luck with tomorrow's SnS!

JcBaby and Alley, tomorrow's transfer is so exciting! BIG day for you both, try to get some rest tonight, soon you will be PUPO!
