Traci ... Hope you have a pleasant, safe journey. Don't feel too guilty about indulging a little today - we all do it from time to time. Hope you do manage to log on whilst in Vienna but don't worry if you can't. We'll all be here when you get back !!

Take care

Hi ladies,
Just got my cultures back from OBGYN and I got the go ahead. I did have a slight steptococcus b trace in tests but he said it is okay. Gave me atibiotics for 10 days. I have my first consultation on June 2nd. Can anyone tell me what tests they do before starting the shots. I wopuld like to get some of those done before my consultation this way I can join your group :D i am getting very anxious now. I know I need Thyroid test because I have a problem. I am getting hepatitis, platlets, CF screening. Anything else I need to do?

Hi Lisa ... I can't really remember what tests we had to have, but HIV and Chlamydia were two of them.

Traci,
You make me laugh. You only ate some junk food for God's sake! You make it sound like you killed four people on the way to McDonald's and THEN ate the junk food. LOL!

Welcome Chrissy! The shots in the stomach were much milder than they sound. I was scared to death too. But surprisingly, if you allow the meds to warm at room temp for a while (don't use right out of the refrigerator) and pinch some fat right below your belly button then inject, it really doesn't hurt at all (at least it didn't for me). I fairly thin too, so it's not like it even matters how much fat you have there. It's surprisingly unsensitive.

Lumi, yes you and I will be close together it sounds like. I don't have my drug order in yet, so NO, I'm not prepared yet.

Hello to all the other JuJu Gang! Our time is getting VERY close Ladies! 8)

Lisa

For us we both had to have HIV, Hep B and Hep C tests done. I had to have hormone level tests done on the first day of AF - there were 3 for this, FSH, LH and oestradiol, I don't know if this is just my hospital that do this last one, because my previous hospital didn't do it.

Hope this helps. Well done on getting the go ahead - it's great to have that date to focus on.

Good luck and let us know how things go.

Lisa, my clinic just tested for general sexual diseases (HIV etc) – for both me and DH. Some clinics do Day 2 FSH levels which I think is something that’s good to do. Luckily I don’t have any issues in that respect (male factor), but if I did, it would have been good to know before embarking on a cycle.

Tracii – hope Vienna was good. Yes, I’d started to wonder whether my bruising is linked to blood flow (even if my acu guy says not). However, I also have very sensitive skin and just leaning my chest on my elbows for a few mins brings me out all red. I think I might start taking baby aspirin before I fly to be on safe side. I fly every other week and, if I have got blood flow issues, then I don’t want to increase my risk of DVT.

Hi girls,
Looks like i'll be joining you. Just had my FET chat at the clinic today and they said i can start whenever i like, just have to phone up on the first day of my AF, we want to go ahead with it this next AF, fingers crossed it's due 31st May. Been told i'm having a natural FET, so hopefully will be about the middle of June when i have e/t. Won't know exact dates til AF arrives and i phone the clinic.
I will have to have a read up on all these posts to find out who is here and what stage you are all at.
Take care all and talk to you soon,
Lotsa love

Good luck with your first FET. Do you mean all 22 are frosties now? (I can't remember if you wrote 22 eggs or embryos!) Which ever is an excellen t number!! :D

I had OHSS and so ET at a later date, and having a second FET soon. Mine is completely unnatural! I start supresssion on Sunday.

Does anyone know why some have natural and not others? Does it depend on clininc or us? Hmmmmm........

Take care

Hiya Lumi,
They collected 22 eggs and we got 13 embryos out of them. So we were over the moon with the numbers.
My clinic told me that i will be having a natural FET because i have a regular monthly cycle. I'm not sure about other clinics though.
Take care,
Lotsa love
