I am still here scanning the boards for news and updates on fellow troupers whist DH does the iroing!
In all my 4 cycles I only achieved 2 fertilised embryos each time - the embryos were varying degrees in quality and therefore freezing was never an option for us. Our last 2 embryo's were both 7 cell grade -1 and the best we had ever seen.
Have faith in your 8 cell embryos and use the support of this message board and DH to get you through your 2ww.
Good Luck

And when I hear you have gotten pregnant with IVF at 43 and when I think that the clinic where I go in Paris, France has a cutoff of 42 years, I am rather disgusted...
But at least the doc said there's a possibility I can have another go if this cycle doesn't work out even though I turn 43 in August. He said he would have to discuss it with the biologists but that the fact that I had a good stimulation (10 eggs) and 3 good-quality embryos meant that there was a good chance they would let me. He said that of women in their 40s, it's women who have a good stimulation cycle and good-quality embryos who have the best chance at getting pregnant.
But I'm hoping that question won't be necessary and that a miracle will occur and that I'll be pregnant on my first IVF at 42!
(Incidentally, the reason I'm only on my first IVF at 42 is because my late husband couldn't have children. I am from California and am now in a new relationship in France.)
My Dr gave me a 6% chance of falling pregnant at the start of our IVF at the age of 42. I have suffered with fribroids all my adult life together and severe obsesity until the age of 38 - I suspect that these were the 2 main reasons for my infertility. I have spent the past few years losing the weight and getting fit. I had an operation in April 2002 to remove the friboids.
At the ages of 43 and 50 my DH and I are fitter and healthier than 10 or even 20 years ago and more capable both physically, mentally and financially to bring a child into the world and look after it into adulthood.
Age should not be a barrier to parenting.

I have fibroids, too, but the doctor says they are not affecting the uterine cavity, so he didn't ask me to have them out. In fact, he said only one could be taken out because the others were in the muscle or something.
I have heard that fibroids can make miscarriage more likely in pregnancy, though. Good you had yours out!
Good you lost weight, too. If this round doesn't work for me and I do another IVF, I should really lose 10 pounds myself.
