Thanks LP ... I've just spoken to the nurse at the GP's surgery, who was absolutely lovely. She agreed that the hospital haven't been much help .. I've got an apptmt with the nurse practioner at 4.00 pm, so feel better about that. We do have some cranberry juice in, so I'll have a couple of glasses - thanks for the good idea.

Sandra

Sorry I'm logging on a bitlate in the day for your current dilemma.

Agree that hosp have been pretty slack in their help/advice.

A close friend of mine was badly bothered with vaginal thrush during her last pregnancy and was given medication prescribed by her GP that was safe for use when PG.

Another option would be to contact your local homeopath and get a remedy from them. As far as I know homeopathic remedies are safe for use in pregnancy and in tiny babies. Certainly, my clinic were keen for me to take a strong antibiotic for my recent diarrhoea (which incidentally was antibiotic-induced) and they told me it isn't ideal in early PG!!! Funnily enough I refused to take it and opted for a wee homeopathic thing instead. Brilliant result within 24 hours and no longer need to take anything. Modern pharmacy isn't always necessary nor the best option.

Anyway you've probably seen your nurse by now.

Hope you get a satisfactory conclusion from someone.

Take care

   poor botty and bits Sand, sounds like your clinic are useless, they should have been able to advise. Hopefully you come back with some sensible solution.

Susie, I have been told to do a blood test day 14 after ET - ET day being day 1, but I can't find a way to get the results back earlier than 2 days so they have said I can do an HPT as well. If that is -ve it doesn't mean -ve it just means I have to try again the next day etc until the bloods come back. I don't like the idea of testing so soon, on the other hand if it is +ve, I can start the upped hormone regime sooner which is better for the pg. So your thing will be OK sweetie, day 16 seems quite sensible (is that from ET???)

So girls, after Sand's botty problem, I know I am giving up on my tanga knickers - waste of space with pessaries aren't they   and there can only be more months of this to go whether I am pg or trying again (I don't have to wait between cycles). Think I'll buy some nice big airy cotton granny knickers   I also confess to buying 2 new bras today, my boobs have gone from a 36B to a 40C since using the oestrogen patches, no wonder they hurt!!!!!! The bras are not pretty but they hold it all in place, a new experience for me

I also bought 3 pairs of pink shoes today, but that's another story

Saw my therapist today, so feeling good, shopping therapy helped too

Love and kisses and baby dust to all of us, the womb wizard is on this thread I can feel it

Gosh so much is happening and so quickly - it's good to hear you remaining positive though. You're doing really well and taking good care of yourself by the sounds of things.

I have to ask - 3 pairs of pink shoes :?:

I'm so glad that you feel on top of things.

Big hugs and PMA
