Ooh, I am so rubbish at this. I don't come on for a couple of days, I read everything through and then I can't remember what's happening where. Sorry if I miss people out.
Souris, I'm not sure if I will increase to two or not. I'm expecting the worst, so I will be surprised and happy if it's not. My leaflet from the clinic says I will continue with Busrelin even though I shall be taking Menopur. Maybe I won't. I'm sure all will be revealed when I go for my scan.
Anna, I have a syringe, not an injector pen. It's not too bad now I'm used to it. I think it is the psychological thing of it all that is hardest. Once you're over that it's not too bad.
JenC, you've got me worried now. How big is this needle and why is it different to the rest? Good luck with ET. I hope it all goes well.
Things are really moving aren't they? It's lovely reading everyone's news and there is tons of good PMA here.
I have decided to do all the nasty jobs I have been putting off for ages. I have a tenant in my house that refuses to pay her rent, so I'm afraid her and her little baby are going to get evicted. I feel really, really bad about it. I've put it off since September, but it is hanging over my head and causing stress, so I want that one out of the way before I try growing eggs. (Zita says people with high FSH like me should avoid stress and sleep lots. Sounds like a good plan to me. Not sure DH agrees). And today I am doing my tax. I hate it so much and leave it until the last minute. But I'll feel much better once it's out of the way. More money. Goodness knows where it's coming from!
Good luck girls. Keep up the PMA.

Not too bad at all a thicker needle than the Gonal f pen so needed a bit more of a push for it to go in but fine.

I guess it can differ for some people maybe i have a bit more fat on my tum!!!!

Bit apprehensive about egg collection tomorrow but reading everyones storys about it its not too bad. :)

My husband said if it hurts that much they would put you under completely and i guess hes right!!

Bored already have been taking it easy as i find my stomach quite tender already even before EC.
Going to go mad with all this resting!!!!

Afternoon all!

I cannot believe the differences in protocols depending on where you go. I sniffed to down reg, then used an injector pen in the thigh to stim and the HCG was the same needle as the others (not literally - the same size!!!). The progesterone were pessaries!!! Strange how different clinics do it different ways!!

Jen - congrats on your 11 embies - that's great news!!!! good luck with the transfer.
Lynne - I haven't got last year's diary so I can't remember exactly when I had the scan, but I think it was 2 weeks after sniffing. However they did say that you could down reg. for longer (they were afraid my bloods wouldn't be back within the 2 weeks as I started the drugs as soon as I had the app. as it was the right day of the cycle - reading that back it makes no sense sorry!!!). Anyway, it's probably just their protocol. Not long now!
Jo-hope ec goes well today!!
Jackie - good luck for tom.
Angel - so the dreaded 2ww begins. Put your feet up and relax!!!
Anna - how's you doing? Will you start again next cycle?
souris - Not long now!!!
HELLO to everyone else!!!

Well just got back from my scan. They said they would expect to see a follicle about 12-13mm. Anyhow there it was - 16MM!!!!! Told me to start taking the ovulation test today, which I have just done. And.......... I can't read the results!!! I did two of them and dp and I read them together and I just can't work out if it was positive or negative!!! I THINK it may have been positive, but is it normal to ovulate so early? (day 10). I am so rubbish at pee on sticks! It's a Boots one that negative, the line on the right is darker than the left and if it's positive then the lines are the same colour. Well they were both so faint, I just couldn't tell??!!!! Image

Think I will go out this lunchtime and see if I can get a digital one (do they exist?). This is going to cost me a fortune!!!!!

Sorry - that was a long post and I still didn't get to single everyone out!!!!

Hi all,
Apologies for having been out of it for ages - we had spyware on our computers and could therefore not access the internet until we were sure it would be safe!
In the meantime lots seem to have been happening! So pleased there's plenty of PMA going round, as I could do with some myself...
Started buserelin on 6th Jan, have query suppressed scan on 24th, presumably starting FSH injecting then...AF came late, so it's all a bit delayed; but hope stimulation will go smoothly so that we can catch up, so to speak. I'm starting a new job on the 13th and had hoped most of the 2WW would have been over by then. But, hey, can't dictate to our bodies, can we?
Had a few hot flushes, but the physical side isn't too bad. It's the mood swings and slight touch of depression I find hard to vope with (as does DH!).
So, hope you're all coping better and looking forward to some wonderful news soon!
Love,
bina

Hi all (again!)
Bina - good to see you're not suffering too much. The hot flushes are a mare aren't they! Luckily I didn't get any mood swings but I'm sure dh understands. It will be worth it in the end!

Just updating my pee on stick story. Bought a digital ovulation kit now (another £23!). Did it 30 minutes ago and it's positive. So back to the hospital tomorrow, and depending on what they say I could be having the transfer as early as Thursday/Friday! Hurrah!!! so, a little tip for anyone who, like me, is a bit of a dunce when it comes to pee on sticks. Get a digital one. There is a blank circle for negative and a smiley face for positive. Even I couldn't go wrong!!

Cla, wish I knew about the digital test before. When I was having IUI, I could never read the lines either. And they are so expensive. Can you reuse the digital ones? If so, that is really very much cheaper. Because my cycles were irregular I was using 8- 10 sticks a cycle. Really really good luck with your transfer.

I shouldn't have read all the different leaflets that come with the meds as I am convinced it is all going wrong. Only 2 more injections and then I'll know if the meds are working. I'll be delighted if the HCG shot is the same needle as the others. From everything that has been written here I am expecting King Arthur to arrive with something resembling a lance!

Bina, I have a touch of the blues too. But so far no hot flushes, just one nasty sweaty night, which seems to have been a one off. I think the blues are just boredom. No drinking, healthy eating and I don't really want to go out because of the shots. DH got drunk on Friday which did not please me one bit. We'd been to the pub for a couple (sparkling water in my case), thenhe had a bottle of wine with his tea and then quarter of abottle of Calvados. He's been really good not drinking, so I suppose he deserved it, but I think he went a bit far. I laughed at him LOTS the next day!

Well ladies

I had egg collection today and we got 16 eggs!!

So really good,
DH sperm quality ok but if eggs all mature going to do 10 ICSI and 6 to be left in the dish and standard IVF used.

Feel sore and bloated at the mo but hopefully feel better soon and have not seen any bleeding.

Will let you know how many fertilise tomorrow if all goes to plan ET on Wednesday.

Wow - it's amazing how much news there is after being off-line for just a few days!

I am still downregging and now waiting for AF. Once she arrives I will have my first scan. If she doesn't arrive by Saturday I have to call to see what next step is. Jigs needed please!!

I adopted two tabby cats today aged 15 months. They are adorable big boys who are now my surrogate babies - aaww! One is asleep next to me right now - he is very fluffy!

Jen - Good luck for your ET tomorrow. Make sure you take it easy afterwards. I think it's great that you have 15 embies. Will you freeze the others?
Heather - it's great to see you back!!!!!!
Moggy - Hello and welcome!
Cla - I see you are in the midlands. Are you at the Birmingham clinic by any chance?
Joanna - 16 eggs - this is eggscellant!!!!! (sorry, couldn't resist  )
Jackie G - Best of luck for tomorrows EC. Look after yourself.
Anna - Glad to hear the PMA despite all the bad stuff that's being going on.
Angeleyes - Hope you're well honey!!!!!! REST REST REST!!!!!! Lots of baby dust your way.
Lynne - I continued Buserelin with Menopur - this is normal - don't worry about big needle for HCG. I didn't have to use large needle - just the same as for Buserelin. Perhaps you'll be the same.

Hello to anyone else I missed off the list! It's so hard to keep up.
HUGS TO YOU ALL!!
