Kyle and I have done ICSI with all 3 of our procedures. Male factor is one of our issues, but with ICSI most of my eggs have fertilized ( maybe short 1 each time). Our ICSI was around $1100, but I agree it is worth it when you consider the costs of possibly not doing it.

Dory - Good luck with your protocol. I do not believe I had experienced any hot flashes or side effects with the lupron. Hopefully, you will not either.

I prayed for us all today at 3 eastern, and will continue to do so daily.

Hi All,

Just a very quick post to say hi, and let you all know that our scan went OK this morning.

I still have a 4cm cyst on the right side, but the dr covering while our dr is away seems to think that it is adjacent to rather than on my ovary, so we started our Gonal F today HOORAY!!

We have another scan on Monday, and if the cyst grows at all, we will have to abandon the cycle and I'll need a lap, but for now, it's business as usual!

Thinking happy thoughts! PMA to us all.

Can I join your thread? kind of new to all this. We had EC on 24 June, there were 8 eggs, 5 fertilised and we had 2 put back (both grade 1 - 1 8 cells and the other 5) on 27 June. I'm finding this 2WW really hard. It is so horrid that early pregnancy symptons are the same as your period coming, I've got the sore breasts (though I keep checking them to see if the nipples have darkened!), I'm exhausted at the moment (but then the weather has been really warm), I'm feeling nausea but then am I actually feeling it or just thinking I am? I've got to wait till next Thursday (13th) to do the HPT. This is horrible! I was really lucky with my injections, didn't get any of the side effects - even being on the maximum dosage and having to take it a day longer than they originally said, I'm an insulin dependant diabetic so am used to injection (already injection 4 times a day).

I guess it is just a case of sit and wait - it's so hard not thinking of anything else. We are lucky we already have two beautiful girls, they are 3 and 4. I was sterlised after the youngest as it was such a horrific birth and the baby had to have chest compressions when she was born and we nearly lost her. I think the decision to be sterlised was made during my post-natal depression, one which we are now regretting. But to be honest it doesn't make it any easier. We both want a large family but after if this fails I don't know if I could go through it all again.

I have read all the threads on here but my mind has gone into overdrive! Is anyone else in their 2WW?

Hi everyone!!!! Anyone getting ready for ER????? I had my scan today and.....

Well I have 8 GOOD follies... 3 , 18's 3,19's 2, 16's and then there were 2,12's so really 10 total.. he said 8 for sure.. and my lining was 1.1 so guess what.... we are doing the ER on SAT!!!!!!!! I do a little more Follistim tonight and some more menapour and then tomorrow my last Lupron shot and the HCG shot (SUB Q.. wooohoooo)

I can't believe it is time already!!!!

Jeck- I have still had trouble sleeping. It is not fun. Good luck with the little frozen ones!! I'll be praying for you. I am not looking forward to the tww either. We are going to rent a laptop cause our computer is in the basement, so I can lay on the couch and talk to you ladies.
I went to the clinic on Monday. My lining measured at a 10, so I'm officially on call now waiting for when my sister is ready which should be around the 15th? Then three days later ET. They had to do a pap on monday because they said that my last one with my dr was abnormal. That was news to me, because I got one of those little cards in the mail that said everything was fine. I'm kinda nervous now. They will have the results of that on Friday. I keep waiting something bad to happen. I need to get that PMA back. Good luck to all you ladies this month. Hi All! I am new to the message board and have found this site very comforting/educational! This is my second round with IVF on my 2ww. The first time had 4 grade 3 embryos and no go. This time 4 all grade 2. I had bleeding/spotting start before my blood test the first round. Now light bleeding/spotting started again but this time much earlier at Day 8. Now day 10 and still lightly bleeding. in beginning was light pink but now more tan. Does anyone know of someone who had bleeding and still got a BFP? I tried a HPT today and was negative-probably too soon. I called the Dr office and I am scheduled to have blood tested July 7 and they didn't want to do it sooner as the 7th was already pretty early according to them. Have heard about implantation bleeding but didn't think if that's what was happening that I would still be bleeding...anyone else out there have this happen?

I just had a scan today too, but they have not called me back yet! That is so awesome that it is gonna be Saturday, were you originally thinking next week sometime, I thought we had an almost identical schedule...I am tentatively scanned for an ER next week---they took forever with the scan today because they said there were so many, but they didn't say anything about sizes...can't wait for the call!! I sure can feel them though. They explained to me and showed me a range kinda with their fists of how the ovaries get larger with all the follies in there---I sure can feel them, I'm pretty thin, so I was joking about how I will be showing two bumps on each side of my belly before I even get a BFP!!!

Good luck Monday with the cyst. I had one just a little after I started the Lupron when they scanned my before I started stimming. They had me come back in a couple of days and it was gone!!! They said every women gets them each month with her cycle. Have they discussed draining it...sorry I don't remember all the details in the post.

hi all

have my first scan tommorow so hopefully will start my injections tomorrow too. i have not been told what stims i will be on yet. I was on menupur last time and that went ok. Although a bit messy having to mix all the vials. Will have to wait and see.

Pebbles were in essex are you and what clinic are you going too??

Amanda... He counted and measured right there.. so I am glad for that... but that is awesome that you have sooo many.... I didn't expect mine to be this big already.... we were looking at ER on Sun/Mon... so we are only a day early.... I am sooo jazzed.. I will head over to the july testing board..

I can't wait to hear what you've got going on..

Suzanne - Praying that your cyst does not grow any larger. Good luck with your scan on Monday.

Jemima - Your doctor is right. You should not need to do ICSI with Donor Sperm. There should be no sperm issues. They test the donors to make sure their samples are plentiful, swimmers, and shaped correctly. Worry not : )

Pebbles - You and I are basically on a similar schedule right now. I test on the 12th. It is WAY too early to test now. Try not to look for symptoms as it will only stress you out. I know it does me. Have faith. God has a plan for you : )

Jordan - Good luck. What day is your retrieval? Saturday?

Morning everyone.

Well, AF finally arrived this morning so I've started my Primolut tablets today and will begin Buserelin injections tomorrow. Have my baseline scan and blood test booked for 20th July so let's hope this downregging goes smoothly!
Wishing everyone lots of luck with their treatments and tests this month.
