HI LADIES!! I know it has been forever since I posted but I do check on all of you every day while I'm in a pumping session but it's too hard to get some time to sit down at a computer and write!! I am officially back at work this week and I had a few minutes before my class got here so I wanted to write a quick hello and a quick update!!!

Mady is doing so great! We had her three month check up and she weighs almost 13 lbs and the doctor said was "perfect!!" She unforunately still has a middle of the night feeding which the doctor says is not out of habit and not because she is hungry. He told me to let her cry it out a few nights but after 30 minutes of crying I ended up giving her a bottle anyways  So we will hopefully eliminate bottle so she can sleep 10-12 hours in one stretch!!!!!

We have been super busy with a few mommy playgroups and I take her EVERYWHERE with me! She even comes into work with me during the day and my parents or in-laws watch her at night until DH gets home from work. I am working 4 nights this week so I'm going to be exhausted!!! They are still negotiating what to do for next year in terms of going part-time. I am hoping to only be working 1 night a week next year and not this 3-4 night craziness!!! I miss all of you and if you want to be friends on facebook-PM me and I will give you my name or you can find me through Stephanie, Babyluv or Hazel's account!!!

xoxo

I was looking on CheapTickets.com and saw that it costs about 1000 per person to fly from here in TX to London,UK. Expensive, yes. Worth it? Personally, I think so. lol I have always wanted to go there, now I have friends there too. Sounds like a dream come true for me. Sounds like I will have to start saving! Andrew leaves for a whole year so unless one of you girls want to travel with me, I have to wait till he comes back. I have never flown and I don't want to start without someone to be by my side. Kids don't count. :) Like I said before, it will take a lot of planning and time but I think I can do it... eventually. lol

So here I am peeking in. It is 2am here. I am so tired it isn't even funny, but even though I said goodbye to the thread, I am still addicted to you all! In case you didn't read the post from the last check up... Ethan is 14.7 and Lina is 13.5 and both 25 inches long. Ethan is slightly longer but I can't remember what they said, they didn't give me it in writing and my memory isn't spot on like it use to be. lol Ethan is all over the place. Rolling around and doing his best to get moving. His jumpy is being used all the time and the whole floor is his playground. Lina is finally catching up a little. She just rolled over during tummy time the other day. She isn't in a big hurry like brother, but boy is she full of smiles and giggles. She still spits up but doesn't seem to be in any pain. Still hoping that she grows out of it. There are sometimes she does well, but then later comes a big ole barf. She just laughs like it's funny. At least she has a sense of humor about it, right?

Just so you know... if you try to chat me on FB and I don't answer... it is because my phone logged me in. My phone doesn't sound off when I get a message through chat on my phone. So, I am not ignoring you, just not looking at my phone. :)

I hope you all are doing well. From what I have been reading and seeing here and on FB, everyone looks wonderful! I might not be talking much on here anymore, but that doesn't mean I am not keeping an eye on all of you or that I won't be peeking in from time to time. As you can see by my late night post... I don't really get the time to say much during the day. lol Love you all!

Sara – The wedding is Saturday, May 21st. We are pretty excited but I think we are more curious to finally meet his finance. Spring break sounds like so much fun! Laney is rolling over already … wow I can’t wait for Gabriella to do that!

Gi – Poor Kayla being constipated. I forget, are you breast feeding or giving her formula? I have been doing sit-ups too and amazingly I am not experiencing any pain like I was a few months ago.

Claudia – it is so good to hear from you! I have been wondering how you are doing and I am glad I finally found you on FB. So you are back to work this week. It is a little difficult to get back in the swing of things isn’t it?

Stephanie – I am glad that you checked back in. I like keeping up with everyone on FB but I am drawn to this thread too! It sounds like you are really enjoying the twins and it sounds like they are growing like weeds! When does Andrew leave for his deployment? Is this the first time that he has left since you have been married? We are all here for you … even if you just want to chat.

Katie – I hope that you are doing well. I see on FB that you are keeping busy with Ryan.

Franca – I hope that you are finally getting more sleep than you were before.

PA_FA – how are things going for you and the family? I know that you are just in love right?

Natasha – I saw that you changed your mind about daycare, so where did you decide to take her? How are you feeling?

Karen – I know that it was getting pretty close to the time that you were going to find out if you are having a boy or girl but did I miss the news? Have you found out yet? I am dying to know!

AFM – Well, this week has been the longest week ever! The mornings are insane trying to get her to daycare on time so that I can get to work at a decent time. I have to say that I like her daycare so far. She seems so happy when I pick her up, which does make me feel good. I have been completely overwhelmed with work since I have been back. That is why I haven’t posted until now but I will get back in the swing of things soon I suppose. Things seem to be going very well at work so far … I got my year end evaluation today and received an exceeds expectations, which is a high honor because only 5 people out the entire company received an exceeds!

Gabriella is doing well. She slept last night for 8 hours, which was nice. We have come a long way from waking up every 10 minutes like her first night at home! Have a great night ladies!

Angela - Andrew leaves for training for a month, then he comes back for a couple and leaves for his deployment then. I am not allowed to really say when he is leaving. Too many bad guys out there that can hack and do bad things the information. I get my first practice run without him at all here soon during his training. I don't think it will be too much of a change. He works so much and when he is home he works so there isn't a lot of help from him. I think Alex helps more. lol He might get one diaper change and maybe one feeding of one baby in a day. It's the weekends where he is a little more helpful, so I will miss that. :) Anyway, I will be fine. It's just lonely, even when he is home. lol My driver's license still hasn't made it here so I can't go anywhere and it is really depressing! It just needs to hurry up and get here and things will start to be a little better.

Karen - So DH doesn't want the gender to be a surprise this time? You are so patient... if it had been me. As soon as I knew I was pregnant I would have been on the phone asking the gender. lol I can't believe that you are halfway there already! Wow! Time flies doesn't it? I can't wait to see pictures of his/her crying healthy face! :)

Franca - Get some sleep! :)

Hi everyone -

I feel like its been ages since I last posted, isnt it something how the days just fly by with these little ones? It seemed like it took forever for them to finally get here and now it seems like "how can it have been 4 months already"? I do check in and attempt to post, but a certain little emperor like to keep me hopping!

Karen - I cant wait til the 14th to hear what you've got in there, hee hee, bet you cant wait either, huh? Glad that you're feeling good and having an uneventful pregnancy, thats the best kind - xoxo

Sara - Too true, honey. How has it been 4 months already? Where did the time go? Aw, and now they're growing too fast, wish they could dtay babies a bit longer, dont you? How are you handling your work schedule? And, better question - how are those two cuties doing?

Angela - Wheeee, girl you are just knocking em dead at work with all the accolades you are receiving! You should be so proud of yourself for getting rated as "exceeds expectations" while working through your whole pregnancy. How fantastic that they realized how valuable you are to them! How is the beautiful Miss Gabriella doing? I'm glad to hear that you're both comfortable with day care and that she enjoys it, that must make it so much easier for you. And you get to look forward to your Costa Rica vaca too - gotta love an award like that one! - xoxo

Gi - Wow, Kayla is 15 lbs already? I took so long to post that is probably an outdated weight by now. Thank God for strong healthy babies for us. Isnt it still hard to believe sometimes what it took to have these little angels? Yay for solids by 4 months too. I wouldnt want to think of how much these babies would be drinking if they didnt get solids until 6 months  We'd never get a chance to keep up, right? How are her swimming lessons going? She must love it, I cant wait for some warm weather to finally get here and get Ryan used to the water, I hope he likes it. So, now that we're all back to normal now, do you ever get to hold the baby, or is J still "hogging" her all the time  Hi to your Mam :D - xoxo

Steph - Miss you lots! I hope that you'll manage to get a break or at least a good nap now and then while you've got the babies on your own. Its the same for me, Chris works long hours, but when he's home I sure do like to get a few minutes of "me time" lol, well, if theres such a thing anymore. Do we ever stop thinking of, checking on, peeking in at them? Sometimes I have to remind myself that babies need some "me time" too! But I must be on my way to spoiling him terribly because its so hard to put him down, darn his cuteness, lol. Aw, I'm so happy that Lina is full of smiles & giggles now. How much better it must be for her to laugh at barfing, she's got a grand sense of humor already! They're growing too quickly, I tell you, and I've heard they just keep it up too  - xoxoxo

Claudia - Aw, Mady is making the social scene already? lol. Thats great that you all go everywhere together, now if only we had some warmer weather..
it takes so long to et Ryan ready to go out with all the cold weather gear, that he gets impatient and I get anxious. Just a few more weeks now.. Whew! Thankfully your job sounds like they're being flexible with your nights, and hours. They would be lost without you. - xoxo

AFM - Yes, it took me all week to update on Ryan's 4 month appt, which was on Monday  I honestly have no idea how this child makes time disappear the way he does, lol. I couldnt believe that he is 16.7 lbs and 25.5 long. When did that happen? So all is good, he's solid with still no sign of a tushie anywhere in sight. I guess at some point he'll grow one, but for now I'm still waiting. Maybe he knows that one of those "baby on their belly" naked pictures to torment them with when they're 16 pictures will be taken, so he refuses to have a tushie? Its ok, I'm real patient.. What a difference a new nurse made at my Peds office, I asked for for proof of vaccine for each visit - and she said fine. WTH was the last ones problem? I almost switched Peds because of her attitude and I guess she was too lazy to give me vaccine proof? Oh, well we wont miss that one at all. So much for getting upset over that! Ryan is doing great, we've started cereal and fruit and today he tried sweet potatos and i think he liked them, its hard to tell since he wears as much as he eats i think, lol. Now he keeps trying to hold his own bottle, which is ummm, just not working  He has mastered rollinh over both ways and loves to do this as much as he can, well that and take off his socks - hey, feet are exciting if your their age, lol. And boy is he ever vocal lately. He goes from making sounds like he's trying to sing in a high pitch to yelling and has "conversations" with his mobile and his toys - too funny. Well, we did it ladies, we have happy vibrant healthy babies
Now how do we get them to stop growing so darn fast  - much love xoxoxo

Franca-I feel your pain. My oldest DD was colicky and had RSV when she was a month old AND I was breastfeeding. She never slept well and I thought I was going to go insane from the lack of sleep. I also had to completely change my diet because the doc. thought I might be worsening her condition with the food I was eating. Breastfeeding can be really tough. It really does get better, I promise, so just hang in there for a while. You said you didn't get any expressed milk-do you usually pump? I hope everything smooths out for you soon.

Angela-It is really hard to do everything in the morning to get ready for work. We have finally gotten into a routine where DH helps my oldest wake up and get breakfast while I feed the twins and get them dressed. If one thing goes wrong we have total craziness in our house. Luckily, most mornings go well. Juggling work, the family, and the house is quite a challenge for me-I can only imagine how hard it is for you. Your job sounds like it keeps you very busy and you sound like the type to go above and beyond to do a great job. I'm glad you like your daycare-that really makes life easier! May 21st is right around the corner-are you excited to fly with Gabriella?

Katie-16.7 lbs?! Wowzers, Ryan is growing like a weed. I was just thinking about this time last year when I was going through the IVF process. I could have never imagined my life today. You're right...we waited forever for these miracles and now time just flies by while they grow at rapid speed. Are you gearing up for the IVF process, and a sibling for Little Emperor, sometime soon?

Stephanie-It is hard to stay away from this site and you all, I agree! I love the FB pictures and updates. Ethan and Lina are precious! I'm so glad LIna's spit up/tummy issues seem to have improved-it sucks it had to take so long with so much pain for her. I can't believe the time is already sneaking up for Andrew to leave. You are so strong to take on everything when he is gone. Is your friend still living with you?

Claudia-Mady sounds like she is such a good baby for you! I'm glad the transition back to work is going okay. I hope they figure out the nights for you-3 nights a week would be really tough. I'll have to find you on FB to see those precious pictures of Mady!

Karen-March 14th is coming up so quickly. Do you have any mommy intuition as to boy/girl? We are excited for your news. How are you feeling these days?

Gi-How is Kayla feeling? Does she like the cereal/food? It's so funny to watch them eat food for the first time. It was a total mess in our house but hysterical to watch!

PA and Natasha-How are you ladies? How are the beautiful baby girls doing? Hope you are well!

AFM-Madi has been sick with a high fever off and on for a week now so we have tried to keep her away from the babies. They seem to be okay but tonight both babies had very red cheeks and Laney slept 3+ hours for a nap, which is very unusual for her. I have fingers crossed that they stay healthy. I can't imagine all 3 kids sick at the same time. We have had a few 60 degree days lately and it is HEAVEN!!! I can't wait until it stays nice outside. I have cabin fever and need to start getting out more.

Take care all!

hey mommas!!
so the next baby to come karen's?

Karen- how are you momma? i saw your getting close, you get to find out the sex, yay! so exciting. now im going to be watching you.

Angela- im so glad gabriella likes daycare. i pulled nataliah out because my pediatrician didnt reccommend it. I am switching shifts to 3rd shift. hoping it goes better and so family is with her all day. i bet you'll get on a schedule and work out soon. change is always hectic in the beginning. i cant belive she sleeps 8 hrs. im hapy that nataliahs is at 4 hrs now. im sure like you said the breastfeeding makes her get up and feed more often. i remember the first nite home, omg awful, up all nite like a zombie =)

sara- im doing well just trying to get my sleep in these days and spending time with baby and doing my school work for now. im going to be sleep deprived once i get back to work in a few weeks. not looking forward to it. oh no i hope madi gets better, all 3 sick that would be a nightmare. im with you i need to get out myself. i get out once a week and miss the fresh air. i cant wait for the weather to warm up so i can take her out more with me so we'renot cooped in.

we got nataliah's newborn pics done a few weeks ago and just got them back a few days ago. they turned out great. here's a few.

Natasha-The pictures are just beautiful!!! I love it :) Where did the time go?! Nataliah already looks like she is growing big. So you are going to keep doing school and work 3rd shift? That sounds like quite a hectic schedule. Maybe Nataliah will cut you some slack and sleep more when you have to go back.

Hello ladies – I am so sorry that I have been MIA but I have been reading each night! It has been crazy busy at work … it seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done! Mornings are still insane but it seems to be working … I suppose. The only problem that I have experienced is when I have to have a conference call for work at 8:30am and she has to be at the day care no later than 9am. So when we found this center she told us the rules but said it wouldn’t be a problem as long as I called before 8:30a. So last Friday, I had several projects that needed to be completed before 11am and I needed the internet to do it, so I called the center and said she will be late and I was guessing that I would have her there by 9:30am … well it ended up being 9:45am. And, would you believe that they acted liked they were perturbed??? They said if I was going to be past 9:30am that I had to call the owner. I immediately got upset because what is she going to do? I mean I don’t have time to call of these stupid numbers because she doesn’t arrive by 9am. I have to say that I have never heard of a day care insisting that a child is at the center by a certain time. I was so mad that I called the owner and told her that her schedule will not work with mine … that my work schedule comes first. She said it wouldn’t be a problem but I think it will be in the future. So now when I have conference call in the morning my DH will have to take her as early as 6:00am, which is just ridiculous. So I have a feeling I will be looking for another day care center very soon, which unfortunate because I like how they care for her and I think she likes it there. I don’t need any extra stress from a day care to add to my already stressful life! I sure hope it gets better.

I am sure a lot of you read that Gabriella had her first cold yesterday. She woke up coughing like crazy and was congested. So I took off from work and took her to her pediatrician. Luckily, they said that it wasn’t RSV but that I really needed to keep a close eye on her. When she woke up this morning she wasn’t coughing at all. So she went to day care early and I went to work. I can’t believe how much work I needed to catch up on by just missing one day!

Have a great night ladies!

LADIES!!! Hi!! Likes most of you I read a lot, but haven't been posting much. But I'm here!

Steph - The kids are soooo cute. So glad we can chat on fb. How are you doing with Andrew being gone?

Katie - So mama of a child the same age as my children... I cannot believe how big Ryan is!! So adorable. When are you thinking your next cycle will start??

Natasha - Oh my goodness, she is just gorgeous!!! I hope you are getting a little more rest...that third shift has to be killer. You are doing a great job!

PA - Are you off for a year with your maternity leave? I couldn't remember.

Sara - How are the twins doing? How is it being back in school? Is Mady feeling better?

Angela - Ooooh, I really hope you don't have to switch daycares! I know you really like it. That is weird they would care what time you brought her in. You wouldn't think it would matter since she's just a baby, it's not like she's missing class. Maybe they just don't like their routine interrupted? Hope you can get it worked out.

Gi - How's the pool going? Alex and Scarlett have been in a few times already this year, but I refuse to get in until the water is almost 90 degrees F :) In a few months I'll get in with the girls. That should be interesting with two! So thankful the older two are good swimmers!

Claudia - How's the crying it out going?

AFM - Things are going really well over here, mostly because the girls are sleeping through the night! Whoo Hoo!! As soon as they hit 4 months I decided that was it...it was on. I knew Juliette could do it, but Amelia kept waking up. Finally I had to just let her cry it out. After a few nights she got the hint and now they usually sleep from 8-7! YAY!!! It is AMAZING how much more I can accomplish! They are also getting into a great nap routine. They usually nap for 2 - 2 1/2 hours in the morning, then 1 1/2 in the afternoon and another 45 min-1 hour in the evening. I've been getting my house organized and Spring Cleaning is in full mode.

They are definitely requiring more attention, so we've been going on a lot of walks. They like the jumperoo, but are still so small that I have to surround them with blankets while they're in it! lol. They absolutely love when I sing to them and Alex and Scarlett have been good about entertaining them when I'm busy. Amelia is pretty laid back, but Juliette usually wants to be held or part of the action. They love sitting in their high chairs in the evenings just so they can watch us eat.

We tried solids this week and while Juliette took both the rice cereal and bananas, Amelia spit both out. So one is ready, one is not. It is such a pain to do baby food (and I'm planning on making my own this time around), so I'm going to hold off at least another week or until they are both ready. They have plenty more formula they can take, so there's no rush.

That's pretty much it! The girls look more and more different everyday. They really don't even look like sisters anymore! My mom found a picture of herself when she was about 2 with my grandfather...Amelia looks just like her. Juliette is starting to look a little more like me (definitely has my build and eye color). It's crazy. Also, Amelia's hemangioma is MUCH better and now it's almost flat against her head. Still very red, but that will fade over time and now her hair covers most of it if I clip it down (I can actually pull some of her hair into a small pony tail she has so much!). It's was so high before. So the dr is weaning her off the prednisone this week. I'm betting my chunky girl will still keep some baby fat, but not be quite so chunky.

Oh, and their stats. At their four month check up they were 11lbs2oz, 22.5 inches (Amelia) and 10lbs7oz, 23.25 inches (Juliette). They are actually on the charts (barely) even without backdating for being early, and growing along the same curve they've been on, so they are doing great!
