Hello Ladies

I am really struggling to keep up with this speedy board!!

I have to phone the hospital tomorrow at 9am to see whether 2 of my frosties have survived the thawing proccess, fingers crossed that they have i they will give me a time to go in for FET!!!!!!!!!!

My hospital have a new FET thawing process now which i felt a bit uneasy about - they told me that they take out 4 frosties and see which are the best 2 to transfer??!!??

Only 1 of my previous fosties have failed to thaw!! - so that will mean that 2 of my frosties may get discarded??!!?? I feel really sad about this and wonder if i should enquire that if i could not use them that they are given to someone whose frosties have not thawed? i am not sure that they will do this though as it is NHS hospital??!!??

Your post touched me. I understand you must be quite irritated by the others' posts, but I'm sure they posted thinking that AMC had taken away her pic because she was worried she had made a mistake, and not because someone had really PMed her.

As far as I am concerned, I can perfectly understand the others' point of view, and I totally understand yours as well. No, you're not the only one who has negative feelings while seeing pregnant women, babies or children. And they're not the only ones who think that seeing just that on this thread is positive and nice.

I think it reflects perfectly, on the contrary, what we are going all through. Sometimes, hearing about success stories here, or seeing that some got BFPs or kids from fertility treatment or natural pregnancies gives us the ray of hope that we crave so much in our process. At other times, it makes us feel a little jealous, wish that this was happening to us instead and that we wouldn't have to watch others bask in their happiness because right now that's not happening to us and that makes us wonder if it will even happen, if we will be as lucky.

I think the fact you PMed AMC showed, on the contrary, that you had some decency and respect. As far as the contents or tone of your PM went, that's between you, AMC and your conscience and that's not my business. But as far as I am concerned, your reaction reflects very well how the IVF emotional journey constantly evolves between two extremes of a continuum. And I respect your reaction, as much as I respect the fact you were trying to protect others who might be in the same area of that continuum.

Please don't leave that thread honey. I enjoy reading your posts and I want to keep receiving news about how you're doing.

sassy - hey hunny. i completely agree with sophie. i dont think any of us actually thought someone on the thread had pmed her but thought that it was her conscience speaking. obviously, now that i know that it was actually one of us that didnt quite disagree with it, thats another matter altogether. as i said in my post earlier to amd - i personally didnt take offence but then thats just my opinion. and everyone has their opinion, thats what these forums are for!!! the bottom line is i DEFINITELY dont want you to leave this thread and i'm sure other people will agree with me on that one. of course, its up to you but i would be very sad to see you go if you do decide that. in my opinion you should stay!

Bec, LOL made me laugh with your "still a virgin" comment! The day after my wedding my dad came up to me and said well I guess know you know what sex is! My daughter was 5 the day I got married! I "played" along and said yes I guess I do, but I don't see why everyone is so jazzed about it! I guess in his mind he thought I was the Virgin Mary.
Dad's are funny about grand babies; mine didn't say too much or fuss too much over my daughter or my niece, but when my brother called and said he was having a boy my dad went nuts! I mean nuts, he bought the little guy season tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers and all these little baseball clothes, bats, gloves, etc.......

Hello to all ladies,

Thanks a lot for all the ladies who wished me good luck yesterday, Sassy, your are not mistaken my ER was yesterday.
I'm recovering okay, my ER was very easy, felt drowsy through the ER but Ididn't sleep, it was like a dream.
I was sore yesterday, I slept most of the day. They got 15 eggs, I will get a call today on how many they will fertilize. I hope it will be good amount.
Charlie: Thanks dear for thinking of me and congratulations 16 follicles is a good number too! and 14 fertilized woo whoo . About my ET it is either on Saturday or Monday but the doctor said it is most likely on Monday because I'm still young, we will see, wish you a good luck on you ET Friday and take good care of the baby.
Sophie: Finally you made it dear, good luck on your ER tomorrow , it is really easy won't feel much. Our ET day will be almost the same.

emma - i'll be cheering your frosties on....i agree with why you are concerned about your clinics new policy. maybe ask them about it and tell them your concerns and see what they say!

TC- now that is funny about your dad!
I have seen my dad in action with my nephew and triplet nieces and He is such a softie now, the funniest thing is when he buys outfits for the girls... and of course he has to tell all of us what kind of a bargain he got hehehe! it is pretty cool to see him like that! is it nuts that I already know what I am getting for lunch and it is only 9:45am! hehehehe

First- This goes to Sassy- You have been trying to concieve for about 5 yrs, correct? i don't see why or how the Pic of this little Angel it is soo scary for you, they way that you should see this Angel is like one of the girls mentioned in the post that This Angel is a Live Proof that IVF really WORKS and that it is an opportunity to ALL of US ... Don't look at this Angel with feeling other than LOVE, COMPRENSION, HOPE and most of all ACHIEVEMENT...

Let me tell u a little bit of my story i spent 10yrs+ looking for my little ANGEL almost 9 yrs married , divorced because we couldn't have a family together, deppresion, sadness you name it , GOD put in my way this wonderful man who is my hubby now and after 3yrs i told him my problem and we jumped in the wagon of INFERTILITY BATTLE... GOD with my Wonderful Dr. Gave Us the Blessing of my SON who is 2 yrs old now , healthy and beautiful. After all those yrs i spent looking for an answer why??? me i got my BLESS, in a mean while i GOD CHILD 3 kids which are like my kids as well.... you cannot , and i say it again CANNOT let your self get down to that road... of not wanted to see pic' or whatever about kids... iam telling you this because i know what are you going thru with emotions BELIEVE ME>>> well i don't want you to feel bad but need to say what was inside of me because i know AMD feel the same way about her daughter that i feel about my Son we are PROUD of having this MIRACLE babies and THEY ARE PROOF of HOPE FOR ALL OF US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always talk about my SON to GIVE FAITH AND HOPE TO ALL the WOMAN like US... not to mean any bad which i know that AMD didn't feel this way either.
With this i don't want you to leave this threat i think we all have the right to be just need to understand each other we all have different "dilema" in our life on way or another but need to deal with it.
I HOPE YOU REALLY STAY BUT UNDERSTAND THAT THIS ANGEL ARE FAITH, HOPE FOR ALL OF US!!!!!

My Follie count went well

Left ovary- 33 follies - 13 measuring 10mm
right- 28 follies- 12 measuring 10mm

my dr said they grow about 2mm a day so they are looking to do another us on the wknd they will call me today to let me know everything else looks good we are looking around Tues or Wed for retrieval if everything looks good on the wknd.

Sylva- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! i am glad that it works.!!!!!! my injections are ok theyare getting better, they were "burning" badly for a few days for some reason but last night was a lot better get some rest and will see that little charm beanie....

I am on day 15 of shots I had a little disappointment with last E2 my level was only 20.8 RN said it should be at least 100, so I go back today for retest. Apparently the follistim is not working, the RN said that it is common for it to take a while sometime to kick start. So that is what I am hoping for they upped my dose to 450 IU a day, I had a borderline high FSH at initial visit so the DR said that it might take a higher dose for me. Supposed to do ER somewhere around the 8th or 9th, so I hope that E2 is better and sono shows some follies!!

Emma i can understand completely it amazes me how clinics take liberty's with our embies surly it should be up to us how many we decide to defrost can you call them and say given your previous defrost rate your not comfortable defrosting and possibly discarding two of your embies?....if not i pray you get two perfect little ones for a nice smooth transfer and a big baby belly....

Sassy, please do not leave the board! I didn't take any offense to you PM me about the picture. I understand where you are coming from. I know I went thru that roller coaster. When we were trying before I had Kailey, my sister in law got pregnant within 1 month of going off the pill. I was so upset about that. I just wanted posted an apology incase there were others that might have been upset about the picture.

I really hope you do not leave the board. This is a great support system and I wish I had found it earlier.

I just thought I'd let everyone know that today even my underwear is tight! ARRRGGHHH! I feel like a float from the Thanksgiving Day Parade! Is anyone else growing out of their clothes while stimming? I know I'm on an aggressive protocol, but this is nuts.

that was a nice story that you wrote about angels and such, I ama firm believer that there is someone above that only gives you what you can handle. I too had EVERYONE around me getting "oops" knocked up on the first time off the pill. and MAN let me tell you I am so GRATEFUL they didn't have togo thru this! In a whacky way I am proud of the fact that I was able to go thru IVF and still celebrate all the blessings around me. gave me hope AND those little ones give the BEST hugs on tough days heheheheeh!

Ange- honestly I went up 2 sizes while stimming!!!! and each time I felt worse and worse, Yoga pants became my best friend, and pepermint tea!!!!!! sorry you are uncomfy. but means you are doing it right! UGH!
