Patie: don't know anything about the clinics there in Dubai. Are there other clinics there that are well-respected? have you done all 5 cycles with the same place? I suppose it couldn't hurt to look around and maybe get a consult or two and see what fresh eyes might bring to your case. I, personally, don't feel it is a requirement to change clinic after a certain # bfn, but that is just me... and would vary by the clinic you are at and how you and dh feel about them. Bit rambling, but that is my $0.02. Good luck!

Hello, again, just dropping in between chores at work....

This joint is jumping, Thank you Sassy for ratifying my sandal choice. I'm comfortable with it, I will do a toenail check this evening....

And Patie, congratulations on deciding to keep going with the IVF, As Ang is so fond of saying, it's a numbers game. So I guess if there is a reasonable chance of success each go, sooner or later, odds are it will work and you're still young! A big plus...Hope you have a great time with your parents their timing is impeccable.

I'm with Sassy on the changing clinics thing. On one hand I guess your clinic should know you pretty well by now but then on the other hand I suppose it couldn't hurt to get a second opinion. Are you comfortable with your Dr and do you have confidence in the clinic???

ooo! Good for you Patie - design your hat - I love hats and getting all decked up for the races. Did you ever see the Melbourne Cup - it's a great time of year here in November.

Re changing dr's - this will be our 3rd attempt, 2 fresh , 1frozen and I think I will change dr's if it doesn't work - not so much coz I don't think others are better, but just to get a different approach and even a different personality. It's all about building a relationship with your doc - me and Dr D - I just don't think it's going to happen. Mind you if he gets me PG this time of course I won't complain. (Now that is an odd thing to write!)

Dildo cam girls - good luck - will be waiting for your posts.

I have a bit of an issue with the undies on the floor too- the dildo cam room is so tiny and there is no space for even an extra chair so clothes are discarded on the floor - needless to say knickers are discreetly covered - from a hygeine point of view if nothing else!

Bye for now! Off home for another sniff.

Salut ladies

Well I did 4 cycles in Lebanon... I love the dr there... but it was very inconvenient everytime to leave work and Dubai for 3 weeks ... and another Lebanese Dr came here (who was recommended by my gyno here and by my friend who had IVF with him...)

So this is the first time I do at his clinic here in Dubai... its triple the cost but i guess easier then travelling....

I was talking yesterday to DH and he suggested to go back to my Doc in leb for the next cycle!!! I am not sure what to do... i guess I'll leave to my gut feeling...

I believe in signs...do you??? maybe i'll have a sign on what to do!!!

Fee I totally agree with you... I think we feel at ease sharing those stories among each other then with anyone else.... not even our DH!!!

Hmmm Ang, I have to admit I haven't sensed any chemistry between you and Dr D, three strikes and your out Dr D! I think three strikes are as many chances as any bloke should be given in any circumstance.

As I recall it you didn't do blast tranfers??? If that is the case I would definatley ask Dr D why. As I recall it my embryologist told me that they would decide what day to transfer depending on how the embryos developed. I got 17 eggs (not all mature) collected and ended up with four blasts (3 frozen). Just from the info on this site it seems that if you can grow em to blast stage then you have a better chance of them surviving, implanting etc...

Hi girls... good mornin' from Vegas!

Patie: i agree w/you... you gotta go w/your gut! Maybe dh has a point (as he knows you, and both clinics). Good luck on the decision. I can imagine it is not an easy one. I guess i do believe in signs... i just call it "answer to prayer", i guess it can be the same thing?. If so, then yes :D .

Angie: ooooo, yet another tough clinic changing question. Now, it appears there is really no love lost between you and Dr. D, so maybe your decision won't be too difficult? Or no? I imagine changing clinics is a big decision... even just the logistics of it. But then again, as i believe you will be knocked up by next month, won't be an issue, now will it?

Fee: now forgive me with all the freaky time change and all... but if i am correct, your dildocam appearance is "today" for you, no? if so, will be anxious to hear how it goes.

Thought i would check in real quick. busy day as i have an event tonight that i am in charge of... so only working for a few hrs then will be running around like a chicken w/her head cut off! Will try to check back in later, but for sure tonight. Have a great one!!!

hello ladies, wish me luck.... i just had bw this am.
and i'm starting to go nuts. Image
they will check for hcg but i won't be told the results. with my last 2 bfn cycles they had me stop PIO at this point. if they ask me to continue i will take it as a good sign. fingers and toes are crossed.
