Good morning ladies!

How are you guys doing? Well, we went to the clinic, and we have the results! It's a BFN for me, unfortunately. You know what? I'm fine, and I'm especially relieved. I cried when I had to tell the nurse that I was bleeding, but I didn't cry a tear when she told us the results. The last days of not knowing but not hoping too much were really trying, and now that's over. Phew! :)

I asked for the FET protocol in order to have some info about what's ahead of us. They almost only do natural cycles. So next time will be drug-free for me. The nurse wasn't sure about the survival rate of thawing embryos, but she told me to call the embryologist. I'll rather ask my doctor when I see him on the 27th.

I have to wait two natural cycles before we attempt a FET, and apparently, this cycle doesn't count. So that means three AFs before I call the clinic and start the FET protocol. That means May. It seems really far, but given that we'll leave for our honeymoon on April 19th, time should not drag its feet too much for me.

What's nice is that we now can pick whatever honeymoon we want because the pregnancy factor isn't there anymore. We can consider cruises, we can consider Egypt (and going to Petra by horse, OMG!), hiking in Ireland... and that's SO exciting! (squeeee!) So believe me, that's what will keep us busy this afternoon (ah, and well... laundry and banana bread baking!).

And about that, we have a question for the lovely ladies who live in Ireland. How's the weather like in the second half of April? Would hiking (and by hiking, I mostly mean walking a lot and enjoy nature... no camping at that time of the year) be pleasant at that time of the year? Or should we wait for another trip and aim for May-june instead? Is the nature pretty at this time or rather muddy and wet? Or even snowy? Thanks for your help ladies!

Okay, that's it I guess. You know I'll stick around until the last sweetheart of this lovely thread has had her result! And you know what? Knowing my result took the bitterness away... I think I could definitely consider seeing a pregnant friend or my DH's colleagues babies now. LOL maybe not today, but... next week!

Take care! And thank you SO much for all the support, thoughts, encouragements, prayers... they meant the world and it was good to know you were standing by my side through this journey.

Lots of love and hugs!

Sophie :D
