Hi Ladies -

Well I just got my 3rd Beta Test Result: 21dp3dt = 7351. My first IVF levels were 125, 355 and 7452 while pregnant with our DD. I go back on May 16th for my first ultrasound and meeting with my RE. The nurse said everything looks great so far - and the Ultrasound will hopefully confirm that as well. So I will be 6 weeks and 3 days when I have the scan. We are very relieved and looking forward to next Wednesday.

I wish all of you lovely ladies much Baby Angel Dust and praying for your dreams to come true. I'll chat later.

Love,
Christine

christine, i'll be really curious to hear about your u/s. you seem to have such a much more positive feeling about your pregnancy than i do. i was a nervous wreck today. maybe it's b/c i have no symptoms and the few i had disappeared. anyway, i had my u/s today at 6 weeks 2 days and i saw a h/b of 116, so things are fine.

wannabeone - Congrats to you! What a great heartbeat! You must be thrilled! Nervous still of course as it's still early. Completely normal. We're just happy the 3rd test showed great numbers. Trust me - we're quite nervous about the scan next week. We won't feel it's totally real until we see the sac and the heartbeat.

I wish all of you ladies the very best. Sending much Baby Angel Dust to all of you.

Love,
Christine

HI there, i was just wondering when do you start calculating the weeks you are pregnant? Is it from Egg Retrieval or Transfer? I forget? Anyone ?

Thanks

i get so confused too. for pregnancy weeks, i believe you calculate from the first day of your last period.

hello - just looking in from Dec babies (I'm due at the end of dec so I'm going through the same stage as many of you in Jan babies!). The Due Date is calculated to be 38 wks from ovulation, because this is usually difficult to predict normal pregnancies are dated from last mentral period. In IVF your last period is actually of no consequemce depending as it does on how long you down regged for etc, so you make a false LMP of two weeks exactly before egg collection (which is really ovulation).

... sorry on re-reading that sounds even more confusing!! Basically go back 2 wks from your egg collection and start counting from there. Or, even better, get your clinic to do it for you!

Hi Ladies,
I ALSO HAVE MY SCAN ON TUESDAY FOR THE HEARTBEAT. VERY NERVOUS. IW ILL BE 6WEEKS 5 DAYS AT THAT POINT. I KNOW YOU WERE SAYING YOU WERE NERVOUS BECAUSE YOU REALLY DID'T HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS, AND SAME HERE. MY BOOBS ONLY HURT AT NIGHT AFTER BEING TIED UP ALL DAY IN MY BRA, AND VERY MINIMAL NAUSEA, ONLY IF I DONT EAT. THIS IS VERY SCARY AS I HAD A MISCARRIAGE AT 7.5 WEEKS IN FEBRUARY.
I GOT SOME VERY GOOD ADVICE YESTERDAY. " WHAT IS WORRYING GOING TO CHANGE?" NO MATTER HOW MUCH WE WORRY IT IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THIS PREGNANCY. SO TRUE....
I HAVE TO KEEP SAYING THAT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AS I WALK AROUND EVRYWHERE FEELING MY BREASTS IN PUBLIC.... HAHAHAHA. MY HUSBAND SAYS IT IS SO EMBARRASSING. I DONT EVEN KNOW I AM DOING IT HALF THE TIME.
BOY, THE THINGS WE DO HUH?
WILL BE IN TOUCH ON TUESDAY.
LISA, I THINK WE ARE ON THE SAME SCHEDULE. OH ONE MORE QUESTION, WHEN DO YOU FIND OUT YOUR DUE DATE?
LOVE TO ALL AND LOTS OF BABY DUST.....

Lisa Marie

I know exactly how you feel. I was so sure that I wouldn't see a heartbeat b/c I have NO symptoms - not even sore boobs anymore and I was basically expressing (bitching) this to doc. when mid-sentence he said and there's the heartbeat. My husband said - you were mid-***** and just had to pipe down b/c everything was fine.

When you m/c, had they detected a HB - what was it? How far along will you be when you go in for the u/s this time?

Lisa, congratulations! I've read that after a successful heart rate that the chance of m/c are only 5%. I've also heard 10%, but let's go with 5! So the brown spotting - how much was it? And it was just this sac and now it's gone or you'll still spot a little from it? My acupuncturist said that 90% of her IVF spot often. And brown is old blood.
