Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for you message, got the call from the hospital and can't believe it, we have 12 little embryo's don't know the grades but they say they are excellent so we are on for e/t tomorrow and hopefully able to freeze some of the others. Feeling okay, but could not sleep so I have been up since 3am this morning so feeling very tired. Can't believe that this time tomorrow we will be on the 2ww, not looking forward to it.

Hope you are feeling okay today and enjoying the wonderful weather we are having.

Good luck to everyone else, Aly patiently waiting to hear how it went today.

Lots of Love
Lynne

Well girls,
Waited all morning for the clinic to call - felt sick the whole time.

My consultant rang up about 2pm to tell me that they have made a huge cock up and did not do ICSI so we had no fertilisation (this happened on our first cycle and was how we discovered we needed ICSI). He was very apologetic ('its the first time its ever happened etc) and said that because the eggs & sperm were all healthy and fine that no-one checked our notes and they did IVF.

I can't quite believe this has happened and am obviously feeling very emotional (DH just wants to rip someone's head off). The thing is I we had only recently changed to this clinic (because of very good recommedations and results) and were really impressed with the treatment and care provided!!

Where do we go from here - well they've said that they want to put things right and the next treatment will obviously be free. That's all well and good but the stress of all this is beginning to get to me. He said I'll be able to start again in October, and no doubt I'll be feeling a lot more positive by then, but right now I just don't know.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I wish all you ACB's all the luck in the world and though I won't be joining the 2WW, I will be logging on to see how you are all doing.

Take care and lots of PMA (mine's a bit thin at the moment).

Gill
XXX

Fi

It's great to hear that you're getting there slowly but surely!!! Nice to know they're taking extra care of you 'coz of OHSS. What day are you looking at for EC now? Wednesday next week?? Hope you are doing OK with the stabbing and not too bloated! :-)

Take care of yourself and don't let yourself get dehydrated in this heat!!

Good luck to everyone else going through a cylce at the moment!

LOL Helen xx

Hi Gilly,

So so so sorry to hear about the hospitals cock up, I can't believe that they could miss something like that, you and dh must be devastated, angry, in shock and lots more. Do we not go through enough stress without people making major mistakes like that, I am sure the people at the hospital must be feeling really bad though, but that will not help you and dh at the moment.

Feel free to rant at anytime I am sure I can speak for all ACB's in saying that our hearts go out to you both and there is always a shoulder to cry on here.

Hopefully you can start again in Oct and you will get your ++ve, but in the mean time try to stay positive

Lots of Love and massive hug
Lynne
