Wow, Dawn - that's an amazing number of eggs. Hang in there tomorrow - I'm sure you'll be sore for a while, but like you said, keep drinking the liquids. Before you know it, you'll be looking forward to your first FET!

Just found out that DH has to be out of town for work mid-April for 4 days - which makes timing for this next ivf kinda' iffy   We'll see when AF arrives next and what the schedule looks like - maybe they can use the bcp's before the start of the next cycle to time things right, otherwise, I may be onto an April/May thread :( :(

Nicali - good luck trying the natural route while you're waiting. We are too - I'm cd 15 now, but no (+) yet on the opk so who knows, maybe I'm not even o'ing yet? I've only really had one full period, but I figure why not try - it's fun! It took me 7 or 8 weeks after my m/c to get my first AF too - I guess that's par for the course, but it was agonizing waiting so long, that's for sure.

RLK - not sure why you'd be getting that much bruising for blood work? Do you keep pressure on the blood draw site for quite a while afterward? That should help if you haven't already tried it. You might ask the nurse next time before she draws your blood.

For now, just trying to stay focused on the pma and get through to March.

Take care e1!

Good morning!

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit. I'm still waiting for AF to start later this week. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Neffi - So sorry about your BFN. I wish you nothing but success this cycle! Question about your meds: is Menopur the other med you will be using with Follistim? I have not-the-greatest eggs and will be on Menopur and Gonal F this round. Sorry you're sick and hope you feel better soon!

RLK and Dawn - Thank you both for bringing good luck and tons of baby dust to us! The more, the merrier!

Annd - I tried acupuncture last week and felt I was too much of a type "A" to get into the Eastern medicinal healing. I was also a little put off that my acupuncturist did not wipe the areas to be stuck with alcohol prior to inserting the needles, not to mention she didn't use gloves (a big one on the UGH factor for me). My thought is that if you think it will work, you will have much better success.

I'm just wondering how many of us are going through their 3rd, 4th, or more attempt at IVF? I'm looking for positive inspiration from those who didn't get their BFP until they went through several cycles. I am still positive and think my DH and I will be blessed. Maybe the Lord is teaching me patience?

Have a great week all!
Cheryl

Just fyi, cycle 3 was my lucky cycle. The fact that you've been able to acheive a pregnancy is a good sign. Hopefully, they've addressed any issues in your prior cycles and are making the right changes to help in you cycle 3. Have you been tested for all the antibody issues? You're very right that we are taught to be incredibly patient in this journey. Honestly, I still need to learn more patience. Hang in there - there are many of us who took many times with IVF, often with many different changes in cycle types, lengths, meds, etc along the way. Hopefully, you'll find the right combination for you in this next cycle!

Haven't tested today yet, but not so far.....I don't hold out much hope, though, since we tried to conceive naturally for over a year before getting to a doctor and we were experts at the whole timing thing, to no avail! But, who knows, I've seen it before on this board!

Have a great day, e1!

Hi guys!

Can I join you?

As you can see from my signature i'm on my way to my 3rd cycl/1st FET.
The first one ended up with 6eggs but none were fertilized.
The second cycle was much better but ended up with BFN :(
I have 2 5day blastocyst frosties and my doctor was saying that these have better chances IF they survive.

This time i will also try some acupuncture. Hope it helps me some how :)

My appointment is on 25th so will know then what is my protocol.

Nicali: I think we cycle together in November....

Wish you all a BFP

Anie :)

Suzhan - Thank you so much for your words of comfort and support! I'm hoping & praying the third time will be a charm for me as well. The only test they did was to see if I'm a carrier for cystic fibrosis. They won't start with the others until I have more issues with IVF not working. I'm sure there are tons, but what other tests find the most common reason for failure?

Dawn - I'm so sorry about your ER. I know it's easier said than done, but still keep a positive frame of mind (to help your body for transfer). Just remember, you only need one for a baby!

Anie - Good luck on your frosties!

Dawn.... I'm sorry to hear about the news on your follies. Hang in there... and I don't think you have to apologize for sounding depressing. Unfortunately, we all know how agonizing this process can be. Just know that if you ever want to vent, we're here to hear you out. After my first IVF, I was very depressed and in tears for DAYS. This forum has been great in helping me see that I am not alone and things will get better... maybe doesn't seem like it now, but things will work themselves out. And everyone's positive responses helped me get through it all. I am sending positive vibes to you and crossing my fingers that those two eggs come out healthy!

Anie... welcome to our thread! I was in that November thread with you and Nicaliw. This is my 2nd cycle/1st FET. My transfer day is March 19th. I just got home from my third acupuncture treatment. I'm starting to feel more relaxed but not sure if it's because of the acupuncture. I figure I would try anything to help me out this time. I will have to say it was hard for me to relax during the first session, but it has been a little easier the last 2 times. Let me know what you think of your sessions when you start.

Hope everyone is doing well...
Ann

Hey Ladies--

Suzhan-- I hope that you can schedule AF right so that you can cycle with us! Have fun trying naturally :D After one year of trying naturally it was no longer fun! But I think now that its been awhile..... :D

Rlk- I dont bruise from the bw at all. Maybe you should ask the RE if they have any suggestions?

Cheryl- Thanks for the BFP wishes! I dont think that Menopur is the med...I dont know though. I wont get it in the mail until the end of Feb. Whatever it is, its only 3 injections!

Nicaliw-- Thanks....I am feeling better today!

Anie-- WELCOME! I think we are going to have a great thread...hope your frosties survive! Let me know how acupunture goes.....Im still not sure about that yet. Cant wait to hear your protocol.

Dawn-- I am SOOOO sorry....but you only need one! There is a girl Andnichole on the Dec/jan thread. She only had 3 eggs, only 2 fert. and she is pregnant with twins! So dont give up hope!

Ann d-- How are you?

As for me, I am feeling better.....I hated going ot work today, I needed one more day at home, but I made it through. Hope everyon ehas a nice week! :D

Hi all--

I just wanted to say a quick hi. I don't have a lot of time because I have to study for a midterm tomorrow. Why I decided to go to grad school in my 30s is beyond me!!! I'm too old to be studying!

Dawn31: Ugh. What an ordeal. How are you feeling? As Ann D. pointed out, don't feel bad that you vented. That's what we're here for. If you want, let us know what the progress report is. Please know we're thinking of you and sending those PMA vibes!!

Neffi and Suzhan: Thanks for the tips on reducing bruising. I'll definitely ask the RE about it and apply more pressure!!

Suzhan: I would think that with BCPs they could time your cycle around when your DH will be gone. What did your RE say?

Okay, gotta run. I'll talk to you all again soon!

Well everyone. im feeling alot better today. My clinic has just called and one of my 2 little eggies did fertilise. So im doing a little dance right now :)
It will still have to be frozen But hey im feeling brighter today so you just never know. Your right It Only Takes One....

rlk - Your studying in your 30s is really inspiring. What are you studying?

Suzhan - I went to most of my appointments by myself. I told DH not to bother. He,s supportive at home but i just dont want him around me in the clinic. You,ll be ok. You will probably notice a lot of woman there by themselves. You end up chatting and making some nice friends. I hope this has helped.

annie - How many frosties do you have ?

neffi - Glad to hear you are feeling better :D

Ann d & Nicaliw Hope your both doing ok.

Dawn: YAYYYY!!! What great news! That make celebrating your birthday on Thursday all the more sweeter! When do they estimate that you will have your FET? Do you have to wait more than a month? Oh, and thanks for your encouragement about grad school. I'm studying public health.

Any news with the rest of you girls? Not much here. I start Lupron on Monday, so until then.....I'm just waiting, waiting, waiting!

Have a good rest of the day, everyone!

Neffi211: You're right, this thread has been quiet. I'm sure it will pick up once we get closer to our ERs/ETs/FETs. They'll be here before we know it! I taped American Idol last night---was it good? I like the show, but I can't stand Ryan Seacrest's intro when he says, "This is American Idol." Why does he have to say it like, "THIS is AmERican idol."?!? It drives me nuts!!

Suzhan: Any news on your upcoming cycle? Are you able to proceed during March/April or have you decided to wait until April/May?

Dawn31: Happy Birthday!! Any fun things planned today?

Anie: Do you have an estimated date yet for your FET? How exciting!

Chery010120: I saw that you were on the other March thread. Come back, come back!!!

Brenda3, Ann D., Nicaliw: Any news? How are things going?

As for me, I'm still in the waiting game (as we all are!). Just four more days before I start Lupron. I'm trying to think positive--that I'll actually make it to retrieval this time. I had a dream last night that I did make it to retrieval and that they found 7 eggs and 6 of them fertilized. Random, huh? I'm not sure why I dreamt those numbers, but if that happened I'd be so psyched!!

Just wanted to say hi!
