Hi, ladies :) So sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I'm just pretty much losing my mind. One minute I swear I have to be pregnant, and the next I think there is no way I could be pregnant. Guess I'll know tomorrow! I know a few of you have endometriosis too, and that gunk makes my body so hard to read. Everytime I feel the slightest twinge of my endometriosis pain I think I can't be pregnant. I guess also knowing that both embies were only 4 cells makes me a little hopeless. It's so weird that they did the same procedure this time as they did when I got pregnant with my daughter and the results were opposite. First I got 15 eggs and 13 fertilized...and I got a bfp! This time I got 8 eggs and only 2 fertilized :( Of the two, they both divided, but only became the 4 cells.

Do any of you know if you basal body temperature means anything during an ivf cycle or does the progesterone mess that up?

I hear you about the twinges of jealousy when you see someone who is pregnant...especially when some of those women were pregnant when you were ;( I think the desperation for the 2nd is almost as bad as the first. We just can't compare ourselves to others I guess and just focus on getting a little bro or sis for our little ones.

Take care everyone and I will let you know what news I get tomorrow

Haven't heard from any of you in a while, but I just wanted to let you know that I tested today and got BFP! I can hardly believe it? Are any of you still on this thread?

OMG!!! Brandy thats fantastic news! That means you'll be the third one on this thread who is pregnant with number 2!!! Yipee you!! You must be stoked!!! I hope your a lucky charm for my beta on monday!!

Am now about 99.9999% sure that it hasn't happened this time. Can feel horrid AF so close round the corner I just want it to happen and get out of the way rather than prolonging my waiting and tension for another 2 days before testing.

Yellow - the summary is great - we needed it, hard to keep track of everyone!!

Congratulations Brandy.
How did your beta look? I can't remember, how many did you have put in? I am so excited for you :D :D :D

Yellow- I really appreciate you doing that list for us. It takes a very organized and meticulous person to do it. Thanks!!!

As for me, I am on spring break for the next week  Yippeee!!! It is a much needed break. Had a lot of fun with dd today...just the two of us. It just amazes me the things that she can do. Of course I don't take a day for granted as I know what it took to get her.

Headed to bed. So excited for everyone:)

Melo, I was 98% sure last night that it didn't work. Just goes to show you what I know! Still feels like AF will be hear any minute. Keep your spirits up.

I didn't have a great cycle either...I had 8 eggs retrieved and only 2 fertilized, the day of transfer(3dt) they were both only 4 cells and they were both transferred. I guess they or it was a fighter?!

Brandy, congratulations! I'm so happy for you. Maybe they were both fighters!? Keep us posted.

I talked to the clinic and the nurse said I would have to do the ER and ET in June even if I started with the cycle that's due in a couple of days. Looking at a calendar that seems strange -- an awfully long cycle. Any one else take that long. Honestly, I have a hard time thinking straight while I'm on the phone with them. I only realize these things after we hang up.

hrobinson, enjoy your break!

No problem about the list. I'll update it when Mel gets her results and is SHOCKED by the BFP!

Congratulations, Brandy!

:D :D :D :D :D Great News!! :D :D :D :D :D
I am very happy for you!
Are you celebrating yet, or still in shock?

Yellow, thank you for the list! I am glad you are organized.
Wow, that does seem like a long time, when is AF due? Maybe they want to control your cycle as much as possible....do they put you on BCP?
I know what you mean, it's a bit overwhelming when they talk to you.

Good luck today, Mel! Fingers are crossed on your behalf.

Laura, what's going on with you??

Enjoy your break and your DD, hrobinson!

Hi ladies :) We are all thinking of you Mel :)

As for me...celebrating? Not yet. I am sure you all remember how nerve wracking this early part is. I had my second beta today which was 365. I know the numbers are good, but I will be holding my breath until I see that little heartbeat on the ultrasound. I go Wednesday the 19th for another beta. Keep praying that my numbers keep jumping up :)

Hi all!

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit...DH, DS and I went on a road trip for about 4 days over the weekend...

Congrats to you Brandy- so great to hear about lots of BFPs on this thread for our #2s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Yellow's great summary, I think I'm up on everyone! Thanks!

How are Suzhan and Jomae feeling?? Hope all is continuing well for you both!

Hope all went well Mel with your beta.

Thanks Beth for asking what I'm up too...I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to update but I have a date set for FET which is April 24th! I am on bcp now for one more week and then I'll start the rest of the meds...I have a saline US this Wednesday so hopefully that will be fine...They sent me a chart for the meds and it kinda looked crazy but I guess they will review it with me on Wednesday... How are you Beth?

Yellow- I know what you mean about thinking of all of your questions right after they hang up! They always seem rushed or something and you're lucky if you can get a thought or question in before they hang up. So I just always call back and leave another message and hope they won't get sick of me bothering them. It does seem worth asking them why it would be all the way in June if you are ready to get going.

hrobinson- I also know just what you mean about not taking a second for granted with your precious DD...I feel the same way about my DS and I bet everyone on here feels that way...We are so lucky because some women try forever and may not get the blessing we all did...enjoy your spring break!!

Take care everyone,
Laura

Howdy all

Heck there are a couple of seriously long pregnancies in the pipeline huh! What with the meds and all the waiting some of us have to do BEFORE we conceive!!

Got my BFN, feel strangely very gutted - and kind of on this prolonged downer - I think maybe coz haven't actually had the time and space to just have a bit of a mini cry and perk myself up again - (what with my lovely cheeky awesome and edible DD keeping me busy!) that am just kind of stuck in this flat space - suddenly freaking that it might never work. Guess its kind of the first major come down after the first miraculous high of having a success.

3 frosties left though - so even though depressed none are going to work (- yawn yawn - cut the violins and whining huh!) will just continue with next cycle - my clinic prolongs the agony of announcing one BFN after another by only letting me transfer one frozen embby at a time - bring on the double transfer and the twins I say!

Good luck to you all and have a restful and lovely easter with your little ones and families. Catch up after the break.

So sorry

Post by Yellow »

Oh, Melo, I'm so sorry. I know that even when you expected it, it's hard to take. BFN brings back all the feelings of how unfair and hard all this is. I think a good cry does make it start to feel better. Take your time. You're in my thoughts.

I know that feeling -- freaking out that it might never work. I'm still sort of feeling that way myself. But our prospects are still excellent. Just have to keep reminding ourselves.

After my BFN, I took my daughter out and bought her cookies and a new toy. Somehow, spoiling her a little made me feel better -- grateful I have such a cutie to spoil. (I hope she won't be in therapy 20 years from now for this.)

I talked to the clinic again and this time the nurse said the ER and ET would be in May or June depending on when AF comes. So, I feel a little better about that. I have to admit I'm having a hard time getting excited about it again. Gotta work on that!

Mel- I know I wrote on the FET in Feb thread, but again, I'm really sorry. I had a bunch of negative IUIs before switching to IVF and I always got AF before the test and I definitely always needed to have a good cry for some reason- it just helped. I hope you have a blessed Easter. Thinking of you, Laura

Mel ,
Again, I am very sorry for your BFN. Enjoy your DD, and find peace in her.

Yellow, that's hilarious! I did the same thing with my DD after my negative!! I took her out and shopped for clothes and toys! Spoiling what you have does make you feel a little better!!
And girls are soooo fun to shop for!

Try it Mel!!

How did everything go yesterday, Laura? Glad things are moving along for you.

Hello to everyone else, I gotta run!!

Beth- Thanks for asking! The saline US went good- everything was clear like he wanted it to be...so now I'm just waiting for next Tuesday to come when I will take my last bcp and start the Lupron. For some reason this time I am so tired on the bcp- I don't remember that being the case last time but who knows! I am also waiting for all my meds to arrive in the mail- my insurance is covering most of them but there's a hold up on two which of course will cost a load to pay out of pocket but if so, oh well... How are you? Did you ever decide about going to another clinic?
