Good morning wonderful ladies!!

JDC: It sounds like the AP is REALLY helping you out a lot!! I want to do it, but we are so tight on cash right now, I just don't have it. Maybe once the loan goes through I will have some extra, but I am thinking paying for AP will stress me out more than the relaxation of going will do!

valerie: Sounds like you are doing very good emotionally! I am glad you are feeling so much better. I know your body will be stronger and ready to get that BFP!! I can't wait for us all to get started again!!

Cocos: Welcome back. Hope you had a great weekend. A little alcohol in moderation should be okay. I have done the same thing!!

Sue, hopinginpa, and Rinnie: How are you ladies feeling?

So I haven't heard back from the bank yet, and seeing as how I am a very impatient person  I plan to call them today. I will give him until around noon before I call. But I have to know if I am going to be able to join you ladies on our next journey! Thanks for all the luck you sent my way. Hope it works!!

Hey Girls,

Hope you don't mind me jumping on board this thread? This will be my 3rd fresh IVF, but 7th tmt in total - just a few!! I have unexplained infertility (very frustrating!!) and this time we have decided to go to Sweden as their success rates are so much better than the UK - 56%! They developed the balstocyst culture so know what they are doing - here's hoping!

I start down regging tomorrow and stimming on about the 8/10th August with EC on the 20th and hopefully ET on the 25th. They work their schedule out from EC so it makes life easier! I'm also having acu, have done with the last 3 tmt's, if nothing els it helps me to relax!!

Wishing everyone baby dust!

Kate: Welcome to our thread! The more the merrier!!!
Are you already in Sweden?..I doubt because it's probably too soon. When will you be going? You've been through a lot already and we decided that this was going to be our time and we will all get the best BFPs ever!!
I hope you get fantastic results by going to Sweden, I know you'll be well taken care of. Lots of us on this thread are doing acupuncture and we're loving it.
Never thought I say that because I was totally a needle phobic. I had to overcome that in order to do ivf and I'm getting better and better. Still can't do my own shots, but I don't panic anymore at thought of shots.

Gigantic storms have moved in so quickly I had to pack up my material and head on home...we need the rain so bad, I can't complain but it puts my work on hold for sure.

jharris: waiting to hear from you...as you're waiting to hear from the bank.

Later girls.

Welcome Kate21!! We don't mind at all!! Sounds like you already know more than some of us!! We are all on a new cycle after failing before. I have no clue what the schedule is for my next cycle. I am waiting to hear from the bank to see if we can get a loan to try again! So where did you originally attempt IVF? Sweden sounds promising! Can't wait to hear how it works out for you!

Hey valerie!!! Can you send some of that rain a little further north to here in NC?? We need it BAD!! We are in such a drought. Our grass looks so sad. I'm still waiting to hear from the bank. I have already called once and got his voicemail. But I plan to make sure he would rather complete my loan instead of dealing with me calling every hour!! Have I mentioned I am very impatient??

jharris: Let me help you with your loan...if you give me the number at the bank and the name of your agent, I could harass him too if you'd like. I can force him to sign that paper immediately!!!

JHarris: Impatient is my middle name, so I hear ya, girl! That banker better be careful. He doesn't want a still-hormonal woman storming into his office. Hell hath no fury...

Val: You are too funny. I'm sure if you had your way with him, JHarris would be waltzing out of that bank with an interest-free loan!

As for me, it is Africa-hot here today (Val - I know you feel my pain). I melt every time I walk outside and there really isn't much point in showering. Why exert the energy really?! Just makes you sweat more! I understand about the drought, JHarris. We are just now starting to get our normal summertime, afternoon storms, but it's been bone dry here. And most of our state is on fire, which Rinnie can relate to, as well. It's just a mess really! We need a few tropical storms to sit off both coasts for a few days and just drench us. But then go away, of course! We need a full-blown hurricane like we need a bullet in our collective head.

jharris: Doesn't your loan officer know that we are still under the influence of mood altering drugs, that basically we can't control what we do and that we could explode at any moment? !!! If you have not warned him of that, you should... and tell him that if you don't get an answer promptly, you will call upon your ivf sisters to show him we mean business.

Coco; I'm blowing as hard as I can and I hope the rain is coming your way !! and towards jharris as well ! It's been raining all afternoon...now it has stopped but they announce the same for tomorrow. Sounds like I should leave for work around 5:00 am if I want to get anything accomplished !
How's your diet going...hang in there ! it's for a great cause.

Diet is going well. I love buying organic food. It's so fun. Isn't that silly? :P But it makes me feel better. I found these almond raisin, wheat free and sugar free biscotti yesterday. Holy cow! Love them! Have one with my hot tea at night before bed. So good. I'm actually having fun with it now and it's not a drag anymore for which I am thankful! Just hope it all works!!!

Since we officially have "unexplained infertility", we are going to try naturally these next few months. A complete waste of time, I know, but why not? I am tracking my temp for the AP anyway, so I bought some O sticks. Gotta pass the time someway, right??

Hi Girls,

Thanks for the welcome!

Coco - please send some of the sun over to this side of the atlantic! I think we have had our summer way back at the start of May - all 7 days of it!! I doubt that we will see much more of the sun this summer!

Jharris - any news on the loan front? Why does it always take sooooo long to get things sorted, don't they know we work on a tight time schedule?!!! Let me know if you want me to have a 'word' to hurry things along!!

Val - how's the rain?! We really don't need anymore of that over here, so please only blow it towards coco!

AS for me started 'sniffing' this morning - forgot how wonderful it tastes when it goes down your throat!! Oh well I suppose I will get used to it! Am not looking forward to the hot flushes and headaches that accompany the sniffing!

In answer to your question Val, no we aren't in Sweden yet. All the scans etc are done over here in the UK (I've had 2 appointments so far) and they basically liase with Sweden. After stimming for 10days I have a final scan (on a Saturday) and then they (hopefully) phone Sweden to say I am a 'goer' and I fly out the following Monday. I go tp the hospital in Sweden Monday night and they give me my trigger injection, EC is the Wed and the ET will either be 3 or 5 days after depending on the embies.

All my accomodation, flights etc have been organised for me. I get a phonecall from the woman who does all the organising every couple of weeks to see how I am doing, altho I could phone her anytime if I need a chat. She has 3 children from going to Sweden so she knows the ropes (and what we are going through), she is even organising an acu session for me before ET and after - can't be bad! The down side is it costs more than a normal IVF cycle over here ut if it works it will all be worth it. They also do ICSI as standard, which would obviously cost more if I did that here.

Hope everyone is doing ok? Will catch you later.

Good morning ladies. I am still waiting to hear from the bank. Our loan was actually a little complicated. But that's because that crazy loan officer wasn't there to explain some things to us when he was supposed to be! Talking to him yesterday, we had to simplify it a little. My DH has a really high balance on a high interest credit card, so we were trying to consolidate that debt, and another chunk for IVF into one loan. The guy at the bank came back with possibly 0% APR for the 1st 6 months, then it goes to 9% the next 6 months. We can go and get a credit card with 0% for 12 months and 8.49% after that!! So I told him he needs to get us 0% for 12 months or we are going elsewhere! I am waiting to hear back from him. If he doesn't hurry, I'm going with the credit card anyway!! plus this guy was an idiot anyway. I told him I needed the money for IVF, and he proceeded to tell me he has 5 kids, and "he didn't know what he was thining"!!! He obviously didn't think that comment through! I almost want to go elsewhere based on that alone!!

OK, sorry, didn't mean that to be soo long. I needed to vent!

So cocos: Enjoy trying "naturally!" Glad you are enjoying your diet!

valerie: Thank you! This guy may need to be shown what hormones can do!! We didn't get any of that rain!! So maybe you can try sending it again!

Enjoy your day ladies, and I will keep you posted!

Good morning girls...I'm home again as rain is keeping me here. The pc went off because a couple times already because of all the lightning we get here. If I'm outside, and lightning strikes a little too close ( or not so close) I just freak. Very scared of it and for good reasons !

Jharris: Wow, it doesn't sound like your dealing with the best loan officer there. That would just make me so upset, especially with all the hormones still raging. And what a stupid comment to make !!   He probably doesn't even have any idea !
One way or the other, you will get your loan, whether it's with him or with your credit card. So don't you worry, you're stuck with us !

Kate: Sounds really interesting how your cycle will go, sounds like you're followed very well, especially with the lady that's done it 3 times. I really hope this is your time...it has to be !

I'm blowing the sun your way Kate and all the rain to Coco and jharris. I know that the weather has been bad in Europe as my family lives in Belgium ( I escaped ). We really need it so bad here as we have been in a drought for so long. We have probably a couple thousands orchids at home too and it has been a struggle to keep them hydrated during this winter. I can hear them saying thank you, thank you and what has taken you so long to send us rain.

Coco: I'm glad you're doing well with the diet. Do you eat quinoa? That is really delicious. I make it a lot, it's high in amino acids, lots of protein.
I also buy pasta made of quinoa and love it. Going for AP this afternoon, can't wait !

Rinnie, JDC, hoping: I hope you are all doing well and I'd love to hear from you.

My nurse just called and got the results back on the Lupus anticoagulant and it was negative. So that's good and encouraging and now I'm waiting on the results for the antiphospholipid test, might be another week or so on that.
I feel really positive about this cycle....lots of BFPs on the way !

Have a great Wednesday !

JHarris--that loan officer sounds like a looser! I hope you find a 0% interest rate card soon so you can just ditch him!

Kate--welcome to the group. IVF in Sweeden sounds like good thing. It is interesting how different countries vary the process. I am in NZ and know we do things a bit differently over here. Unfortunately there is not a lot of choice as there is only one clinic in the entire country!

I am feeling more hopeful this week. I am wondering if my cycle returns to normal right away after the IVF cycle? (I wanna try naturally in the meantime and am trying to figure out my next ovulation!)

Hey Everybody!

Welcome Kate21 , your journey sounds like it'll be well worth it! & I like how they even schedule your AP...great!!
I don't think many of us do that sniffing here...sounds funny. I wonder why. It's all injecting except for the BCP.

Sorry girls, the weather here is amazing this week. We're always a bit dry, but we did get some rain a few weeks ago...very rare at this time of year.
I just keep looking at how crazy it is around the country...floods, drought...it has to be global warming...everything is shifting.

JHarris How frustrating!!!!! That's all I can say. & his comment is typical for a guy. I have everything crossed for you.

Sue Last time my cycle was 32 days instead of 28 after the IVF, then my next AF was back on track at 28 days. So you may notice that...but totally normal.

Valerie Glad that test was normal! Gotta love that waiting :)
I love Quinoa...I end up mixing it with everything!

Coco's right....for some reason I enjoy eating the organic stuff more...even if it's not traditionally yummy. I just feel good putting clean things in my body. And my biggest surprise is that I don't miss caffeine which is huge!!! I just feel so much more balanced & even.

I'm at AP twice a week now....loving it. Back on brewing the nourishing herbs as opposed to detox but they're still horrible. I get excess yeast so they added something to help that & it seems extra bitter.

I have my follow-up with the RE on Thursday, so I'll try not to yell at him about overstimming and not monitoring enough, and not paying attention to my newly lowered FSH.... can't wait

JDC I love that comment about fertilizing the soil....may we all have well nourished soil and soul.

Hi everybody! Here we go with the crazy emotions....I had my f/u appt today w/ my RE. We are going to start my next cycle mid July, much sooner than I expected. But he made it clear that my prognosis is very poor and his is pushing for egg donation. I'm open to egg donation, but my insurance does not cover that, and at my clinic it runs about 20K per cycle.

I'm pissed too because I am a govt. employee in NJ. All of the state employees will soon be covered for egg donation by there insurance. But I work for a county which somehow does not fall under certain mandates. I just feel like, why are they entitled to those benefits and I'm not. In a way, if I had the money.....I would just do egg donation right now. I just want a baby!
