Hey Elizabeth,

I'm only about 15 minutes from the Louisville office too. :) I'll be watching for the results of your retrieval. My last one was phenomenal, they harvested 18 mature eggs!

I'll keep everyone posted on my thaw/ET. They're planning on thawing 3 intitially and hopefully we can xfer all 3 of them.

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!

Kerpupples
- Friday is almost here! Keep us posted on how your transfer goes. What are your plans for bedrest?

Sha1- I am excited to hear about your baseline...how did it go?

alimoyni
- I am with you..I am looking forward to the Olympics as well. I am sure that will help keep my mind off of the daily wait!! :) How are the follies looking? Are you still on schedule?

As for me I am excited for today's US and BW. I can't wait to see what these drugs have been doing to my body. I feel some tenderness in my ovaries, but that is about it. My headaches are gone...thank goodness, I seem to be emotionally level, which I didn't expect, and overall I am feeling great. Just a little excited to get this thing going. My clinic is pretty good at giving me same day results...so I hope to have more news later today.

Rosario- How are you doing? Any more news on your numbers? Where are you at on follies? We are very similar schedules? I am tentatively scheduled for 8/6, but I will fiind out more today I am sure. I have been on the same dosage of Menopur and Gonal F (2amps Menopur, and 300 units of Gonal F)

Hello everyone,

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to everyone.

I was on Lupron since July 14th and the headachs are terrible; there is nothing you can really do. I had my baseline yesterday everything went well. I started follistim last along with night along with lupron (.5). ER should be either the 9th or 10.

Side affects to Lupron for me were bad headachs and hot flashes I'm hoping everything will ease up.

Let me know if anyone has any other questions, this is my 3rd IVF and I feel like I been thru everything.

Good luck to everyone; hopefully this will be it!

Has anyone ever went on vacation following ET; ET will probably be on 8/13 and we are leaving for europe on 8/19. The doctor said everything will be fine and actually it may be better not working; cleaning or dealing with dailly living.

I won't be returning until 9/7, just in time for the first ultra sound. The doctor said it would probably be better to go at this time rather than later becuase of what happen to me the last time.

Anyway. Good Luck

Hi everyone,

Sha1 - I understand the headache issue, but strangely enough once I started the Menopur and Gonal- F the headaches dissappeared. I hope yours subside soon. As for vacation...I can't imagine this being anything but wonderful for you. I wish I could go on a vacation right after I transfer. I do have quite a bit going on in early to mid Aug. so hopefully I don't have much time to worry...well too much anyway. I think that some worrying is just part of the process. Thanks for offering to share your knowledge. The closer I get to ER and ET the more questions I will have.

alimoyni - We are so close! Well here are my results from the doc:
I have 9 follies on my left and 6 on my right ranging from 1.5 (not sure how the translate) to .80. My Estrodial # is 1138, Prog is .3, and LH is 4.8. I was told these were all good numbers. My lining is 8 with triple pattern. They plan to have a 3 day transfer with at least 3 embies. All this could change of course depending on quality, and fert report. My next US/BW is Fri. and we could potentially trigger on Sat. for transfer on Monday. We will see. I am getting so excited.

Wishing everyone the best! Talk with you all soon.

emfossum, good luck, your numbers look great! I didn't realize you were that close; keep us posted on your ER date.

alimoyni, what time frame are you looking at for your ER. I am probably going to be around 8/9 or 10. Currently taking follistim (375). My next BW appointment is scheduled for Tuesday.

Elizabeth - your numbers all look great! I'm a little suprised that they are doing a 3 day transfer with you as I thought CCRM liked to transfer blasts. Are they doing it differently with you for some reason or are they back to 3 day transfers?

By the way, the follicle size you listed is in centimeters. My RE likes to have the lead (biggest) follicle at around 2 centimeters before trigger.

I don't have any plans for bedrest. My RE doesn't require it and it's not in my nature. I will be taking it easy tomorrow and Saturday though. Will keep you all posted!

Fast Facts from todays tests:
Lining: 10mm with triple pattern
Right Ovary: 4 follicles. Size in mm: 10, 11, 11, 11
Left Ovary: 8 follicles. Size in mm: 8, 8, 10, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13
E2 level: 411.5

10mm = 1cm So my follicles are ranging from 0.8-1.3cm

We are on track for HCG trigger shot sunday and egg retrieval on tuesday (Aug-5). They are supposed to grow 2mm (0.2cm) each day so that would put them 18-23 (1.8-2.3) on tuesday.

I have another ultrasound and bloodwork scheduled for saturday and sunday so will know for sure then.

alimoyni - Our numbers are pretty close as well as our schedule.
Your lining looks great. I hope mine thickens up a bit! How are your ovaries feeling? I am feeling pretty sore when I walk around. I unbutton my pants when I drive or I am at home because I can't stand the pressure.

I have an US and BW scheduled for tomorrow morning, and then we will determine if I trigger Saturday. If they grow at 2mm per day then I may be triggering Sunday with you. I think my largest was 1.5, and I was told that they determine trigger by your largest follie. Is that typical? I suppose I will find out more tomorrow.

Kerpupples- The RE told me that the way they determine which day to transfer depends on the amount of eggs, and the quality. For example if they have many good quality eggs they may wait till day 5, but if they only have a few then they play it safe. These are not his exact words, but you get the jist of it. Then he mentioned that they were expecting to perform a 3DT which leads me to think they have concerns about my eggs. I am 40 years old and my last LH level on my last cycle was an 11. I applied to Intremed shared risk plan and was turned down because of the LH being 11. My LH on the last two tests, one last Sept., and one in Nov. were 9's. So needless to say we are paying for all of this out of pocket, and if this doesn't work out then we will have to dig deeper to pay for it again. My insurance covers absolutely nothing! They covered the semen analysis...but that was it. Back to the point, just venting a bit about my insurance...When we started this my numbers were all good, I previously had a child, and I am healthy, but we have a morphology issue. We since had to submit our application to Intremed as it turns out my LH was high this time around. They are concerned that maybe all along this was not only morphology and that I am also a factor. I actually was not surprised because of the age factor alone, but I think my RE thinks this is now more of an issue and perhaps he isn't expecting me to have very good eggs. I hope I turn out with awesome eggs, and perhaps enough to substantiate a 5 day transfer. I have to trust my RE because he is the professional, and I feel like I am in good hands. Ultimately...I feel if this is meant to be then it will happen...and it is even bigger than what the RE does. I am feeling a little worried today, and I need to keep reminding myself that I can only do what I can do at this point and trust!!!

Thanks for letting me ramble..

emfossum Sorry about not getting back to you eariler. Well my E2 levels are increasing slowly but surely. I was 115 on Sat and on Monday i was at 386. I have an appt tomorrow hopefully everything will be fine to trigger no later than sunday. My biggest follies were at 12 on each side. I dont expect to be making a lot of follies especially since i dont have much ovaries left and being that I am on an aggresive protocol (600iu of follistim), i am happy with what my ovaries can make. Just pray all is well at tomorrows appt.

Hello Everyone.. I am new to the message boards. I am in my first IVF cycle. I have 13 follicles, 12 larger than 16mm and one slow grower at 12. I have my trigger tonight at 10:30, the time is finally coming. I go in tomorrow for my pre op, then they will tell me my retrieval time. Trasfer will either be August 5th or 7th. I am anxious, and really NOT looking forward to the 2 WW.

I look forward traveling this journet with each of you. Hopefully August will be OUR month!!!!!

Hey Elizabeth,

Thanks for the 3-day transfer explanation, it makes sense. I like that they do it that way. My clinic does strictly 3 day transfers and I really think it should be done case-by-case. My first fresh cycle, for example, they retrieved a bunch of immature eggs so 3 days was definitely the way to go. But on my second cycle they retrieved 18 mature eggs, most of which fertilized, so a 5 day could have been the way to go there. I did get pregnant that time though, so who knows.

We transferred 1 8-cell and 1 6-cell embryo this morning. I have a stellar lining so I'm hoping that helps. Beta is on 8/11 so nothing to do but wait now!

Welcome to everyone else! I'll be following your stories.

Cheers,
Amy

Way to go Kerpupples on leading the pack. Wow you are officially PUPO that is so exciting! What are you planning to do during your 2ww to pass the time?

This is what I am gathering:

alimoyni - Trigger on Sunday, ER Monday
Me - possibly the same...I am still waitng for the call to find out my numbers.
Rosario- Trigger on Sunday, ER Monday?
Truebeliever- Trigger last night and transfer tomorrow?
Sha1- ER on the 9th or 10th

As for me I am feeling kind of down today. My ovaries are sore, and I have felt pretty blah all day. My US was good...it looks like most of the follies are very close in size. My lining has increased to 13mm. There has been no changes in my drugs.

Take care ladies...and here is to good weekend of healthy follies and sticky embies!
