Ashley, Rae and Mauree- Hi twin mamas!!!! How are you feeling? I hope all is well with your little duos! It's amazing how many twin mamas are in this month!
Merri- How are you feeling? M/s under control? I've been so fortunate to not have it! I'm keeping my positive energy going and declaring I'm not going to get it! My accupuncturist says that m/s is due to a deficiency in spleen qi...which is what she treats me for every week right now. I don't really know much about how it works, but I know that what she is doing is working so far!
DandMe- Wow. I didn't realize your clinic was so far away. You are a trooper to travel so far! I hope that you are feeling well. xo
Katie- how are you feeling? Between the snow, the dogs, being pregnant...you have alot going on! I have a 15 year old Border Collie that is just a doll. She struggles with weak hips and my DH likes to carry her down the steps even though she can do it by herself at this poiont. So now she looks at me with this "please carry me" look when we need to go down stairs. I told her "sorry honey, I can't carry you. Only Daddy can carry you". She literally looked pissed when I first told her this. hehehehe. She's so smart it's scary.
Sorry if I missed anyone else on our board.
AFM- The ultrasound yesterday was sooo much better. The doc saw the yolk sac of each one. Beta was 10,247. I got teary immediately due to being so relieved. My DH even got teary. hehehehe. Next U/S is March 10! Thank goodness I'll be left alone this week!

Gemma Grace was born June 24, 2011!
Hello ladies! I've been lurking on the IVF side and this side for weeks! I decided not to post at all this cycle because I was convinced that I had jinxed the other two threads I had been on in the past (March/April 2009 & June/July 2009)! I was one of the first BFNs in both threads! So, I don't know if that was true or not, but here I am with a BFP!!! I'm thrilled to be on this side of the boards! I had my confirmtation ultrasound on Friday, 2/26/10! I was so nervous because we had transferred 3 embryos. Thankfully I'm only pregnant with one! That was what my gut was telling me, but there's still doubt.
I have one DS who just turned three last week. He was from our first IVF/ICSI cycle. I didn't realize how lucky I was to get pregnant on one attempt with him. I had two failed FETs last spring/summer and we were attempting our last try in January and IT WORKED! I was more prepared for it not to work, that's for sure!
So, here I am. I'm feeling great and still in shock. Seeing the h/b on Friday made it a little more real, but still, I can't believe it!!!
Best wishes to all!

Ladies, just crashing your thread to say CONGRATULATIONS to Sarah/sbr!! I'm so happy to read your news, if you were one of the first BFN's on the March/April and June/July threads, then I was one of the last on both! Like you, I was much more laid back this time around, and I think that had a big part to play in it being third time lucky for us! I hope you have a smooth pregnancy from here on in - yay, a little brother/sister for DS! Have you told people your news or are you waiting until you hit the 12 week mark?

Hazel, I have been thrilled to read your posts about your pregnancy!! Congratulations! I have been much more nervous with this pregnancy than I ever was with my son. I think the whole thing of "knowing too much" has taken over my brain! I've never been very private about our infertility or IVF, so lots of people know. We told a lot more people after we saw the heartbeat on Friday, though. I was so doggone sick with my son (sounds alot like what you're going through), that it's been hard to believe I'm actually pregnant because I've been feeling so good! (I puked several times daily ALL NINE MONTHS!) I'm just trying to bask in the excitement!!!

Nooooooooo, don't tell me that about your m/s experience first time around!! I'll just have to hope that doesn't happen to me - fortunately, I think it has eased slightly over the last week (at least during the day) so I'm crossing my fingers that the worst is over... Sounds like you had enough m/s first time around to cover a couple of pregnancies, so hopefully you won't get it this time. There is a theory that m/s is worse for IVF mums because the drugs take so much out of our systems that our bodies struggle to cope with the high hormone levels when they kick in - as you did a FET with much fewer drugs involved, that might just mean you don't get hit with it this time (hopefully, for your sake...!).
Keep in touch!

I am a bit scared to join, as I haven't had my sono yet and I don't want to jinx anything. Last cycle, the sono was the end of the line for me, but I was spotting too. This time, good numbers and no spotting. I keep telling my DH (I have no idea what that means, but you all seem to use it for your partner) that I hope I am preggers and he keeps telling me - YOU ARE! YOU HAD POSITIVE PREG TESTS!!! It just won't sink in until I get that sono on Friday (3/5).
Congrats to all of you expectant mommies! SUCH amazing and exciting news! I hope I too can carry on and have a baby in October. I actually think everything will be fine, but it's hard to get my hopes up and be let down again!
PIO shots are killing me! I broke my leg last year skiing (mid 4/09 cycle) and had to have surgery and rebuild the whole tibia. My right hip is generally sore because I favor my injured leg and the PIO isn't helping! Ahhhh, the things we do!
So great to have you Oct mommies on here too. I'm hoping we all have great, normal, stress-free pregnancies
Sarah - I think you are little further along than some of us - which is great, because you can tell us about all the steps we will go through. Are you at around 8 weeks or so?
Burnbank - Welcome, welcome. You are very close in far-alongness to me. Can I ask how many little embies you put in? Are you thinking you might have twins? I know how you feel - I don't think I'll relax or really believe in anything until I see the growth and good results on ultrasounds - have been down this road before and I am wary
Welcome! Merri

We do seem to be on the same track! My sono will be on 3/6. We put 3 back in this time - FET. Not so sure about twins, just hoping for one healthy baby at a minimum!
Welcome to the new moms! It sounds like you are doing wonderfully. I'm happy to learn how many of us are worried and yet getting heartbeats and everything is going well. I don't get an u/s until the ninth of march, when I will be 7w4d. This is my first ivf and i've never been so nervous in my entire life. The more time I have the worse I am. I am just now accepting that I am pregnant, but it honestly hasn't sunk in yet and I don't think it will until we see the hb. we lost a baby at 9 weeks about a year and a half ago and so I am kind of shaky.
Very happy to be here, though, and hope to enjoy the next eight... er... seven months with you girls!

HI Everyone! Wow, I am so excited to see so many expectant moms on here! yay!
Hey, is anyone on baby aspirin? I am b/c I tested positive for 2 copies of the MTFHR gene.
Just curious. I haven't been transferred to my regular OB yet, so I am not sure if he will let me stay on the aspirin. I read that studies show it doesn;'t harm the baby, but then they also say that you shouldn't take adult dose aspirin AT ALL during pregnancy. SO, I wonder what the difference is? I know it's low dose, but if you are taking it everyday, then it will build up.
I don't know. I am sure I am worrying for nothing. My RE says it's fine..
Anyway, is anyone not really sick either? I have on and off nausea waves but that is it. I feel bloated and I am starving a lot, but that's really all. I have my 2nd u/s on Friday and then I think they will release me to the regular OB
Hey, Rae37. I'm on low dose aspirin too. I'm also on Heparin shots 2x daily. I have not been diagnosed with any particular problem. My RE put me on these two things with this cycle because I had had two failed FETs and there was no reason why. It was just a shot in the dark or something. It was also my very last shot with only three embryos left. We transferred three and thankfully only ONE took!!! I have to stay on the baby aspirin, PIO shots and the Heparin shots until 12 weeks. I'm sick of being a pin cushion. The Heparin ones are TERRIBLE. Such painful medication. And my ass is raw from the weeks and weeks of shots. I believe 8 with my DS, 2 from each failed FET and now 12 total weeks for this cycle. Really, I'm trying not to complain.....I'm pregnant!
Sarah
P.S. Thankfully I haven't really been sick with this pregnancy. (I had TERRIBLE m/s all 9 months with my son.) I am STARVING all the time though!

Rae- I'm on baby aspirin and 3 mg of folic acid b/c I have the MTHFR mutation on one gene only. My RE said he wasn't totally convinced it causes any issues b/c it is only on one gene, but preventively, he added the increased dosage of folic acid. I am not experiencing any m/s either, thank goodness! I did notice today I have alot more saliva in my mouth. Strange. And definite adversions to certain smells. Overall, so far, so good. I'm only 6 weeks so I'm sure I have many more early pregnancy adventures ahead! Have a nice evening!

I am also on baby asprin. I think it's pretty standard. I went in for another blood test and I am awaiting my numbers nervously. My sono is 3/6.
I have to travel tonight and must give myself my own PIO shot., My husband gives them all to me. Do any of you do your own? How hard is it? How do you reach around back?
Quick post - Congrats to Katie! I'm so excited you saw the heartbeat. You must be so relieved.
I have my ultrasound tomorrow morning at 6 weeks exactly I think. I am very nervous - I am hoping so much that all is fine and our joy will not end tomorrow. I'm really praying that we see heartbeat(s), although I know it is early.
I take baby aspirin too! I don't mind it, I kind of like the taste
