Well hey there FCB's,
Jane, yep, Auntie Flo (af) is definately an awful friend most of the time, at this moment though, she would be a very welcome friend, given that I can't start my natural FET cycle until she graces me with her presence!

Magnus, go the shoe shopping I say, just bought a fabulous pair of "Camper" green slides with red base, just divine!

Sounds like we're all quite keen on the accupuncture, I have another go on Friday, all quite bizarre, but I would just about hang upside down by my toenails if I thought that this would help!

Hey gals,
Well good old af has arrived this morning, I don't start testing for LH surge until day twelve, my sluggish pitruatary gland means that I don't ovulate until at least day 21, so will be a bit of a haul up until then..But hey, I'm back on track and ready for a positive result! I have a lot of faith in the accupuncture (sounds like a few of us do on this site), here's to more needles and more babies!
Take care all

Hi Everyone

Bel, yeah for the dreaded af arriving.

I have my scan in the morning, hopefully I will get the all clear to start on the menopur injections. I'm off on holiday for the next two days, 7 of us girlies are going to London to stay with a friend till Sunday. They will all be stuffing their faces with things I'm not allowed and getting drunk everynight while I sit with my juice. Still will be a nice break and we'll have a great laugh.

Hope everyones well and that you all have great weekends.

Love
Wendy

i hope your all doing fine,i can feel lots of positives coming our way this month, lots and lots!im still injecting away ive done all of them myself so far,but im not sure about when the menopur starts next week i might have to call on dh.ive been going to the gym a lot lately and swimming, circuit training nearly killed me tonite, thought id try to get in shape now to make up for the two week wait cause im not going to move this time round.my stomach is really swollen all the time, does anyone else have this do you think its the injections?i still drink now and again the odd ( lager)do you think this is bad or do most of you only really cut it out on the 2 ww. i had a drink once on 2ww last time it was bonfire nite and i went to a barbie had a few drinks. ireall y regretted it when i got the result so wont be doing the same this time.
anyway feb buds take care and keep up the pma.
bye for now.love loopy..

Hey everyone

Was at the hospital this morning and I'm still not ready to start the menopur injections, my womb lining has only gone from 6.9 to 6.7 and it needs to be 4. They have increased my buserlin injections to twice a day with the hope I may have a better scan next Thursday.

Still it means I can have a better time in London with my friends this weekend, I can eat what I want, do my nails, wear perfume and have a few more Bacardi Breezers than I would have had I started my menopur.

Loopy, I only cut out alcohol completely once I start the injections to produce the eggs, not that I am a big drinker these days, I doubt the one drink you had on 2ww made any difference. Most people who conceive with no help seem to be bladdered all the time till they find out. Things are hard enough for us that a couple of drinks now and again to relax and enjoy yourself are unlikely to make much odds.

Anyway off to get all my hair chopped off then flying to London at 4pm for a weekend of girly chat, stuffing my face and mad shoe/handbag shopping sprees. :D

See you all later

Hi all,
Wendy ... sorry to hear you have another week before your next scan. Fingers crossed for then. So enjoy London.
I'm not having my first scan till 13th, and thats when I should be starting injections.
I'm going to be a late FCB as well then because even if all goes well my test date is 12th March.
I haven't had any mood swings yet, am I just lucky or are they going to hit me with avengeance soon. My boss was fab yesterday and cleared all my diary of appointments, to make sure that I;m not stressed and take it easy. Bless him, so I'm glad I told him now.
Well some of us seem to be still having sneeky drinks. As I haven't started the injections yet I'm allowing myself a couple of drinks when I go out. I'm more worried about the nicotine patch I'm still wearing. Will phone the clinic about that today I think.
Thank you Traci for your post. I hope you are lighting those candles for you as well. My Mum bought me a guardian angel doll, it sits on the top of my computer so hopefully thats looking after all of you as well.
Well better get on with some work, so that I can finish at a reasonable time and treat dp to a meal tonight. He's so quiet at the moment, that I think he's having all the side effects from the drugs and not me. Having you lot helps me greatly ... to and get advice and encouragement from.
I also think the chinese herbs are taking effect on me now. I'm sleeping so much better, and actually feel quite good. I've had two gym sessions this week too.
I've got my second acupuncture session tomorrow as well.
Still can't belive I've got another week before the scan and injections. I hope it all goes well, because what I have picked up from this site is that there are so many hurdles (enough eggs, womb lining, ohss etc etc). Hope I get to the end .....
Love to you all.
Here's to good vibes, 100% positives, and sanity!!
From Sophie Jane.

Hi, I wasn’t sure whether I ought to join the Jan or the Feb cycle buddies but from reading the posts I think my cycle is more aligned to the FCB’s.

This is my first time at IVF (I had a failed IUI in Oct) and my first time posting on the site. I have been having Buserelin injections for over 2 wks and have just started on the Menopur and baby aspirin, e/c is due w/c 16th. Feeling fine although my thighs look like pin cushions and I keep having hot flushes especially during the night.

Hope everyone else is feeling good and positive

Hi Guys, hope everyone is well, welcome Dizzy,I am sure you will find this thread very helpful, everyone is friendly and you can ask lots of questions, some of us have been through this before so it does help to share experiences.
I went to my clinic today for mid-cycle scan and bloods (waited all bloody day uptown for results)only to be told that I've gotta go back and repeat the lot in 7 days time!!!!! as hadn't ovulated.Am going skiing tomorrow so at least I wont start sniffing out there, will def be having a glass of wine or two now :P
So i will be a late FCB too.Wendy have a great time with the girls, there are lots of lovely shoes and bags awaiting you!!
I wont be around next week but I wish everyone a good week
Take care Magnus x

Loopy, I’m taking the aspirin as my clinic told me to. Has your clinic given you advice on whether to take it or have they said it’s up to you?

For the list of what not to do/eat:
• Ripened soft cheeses e.g. brie, camembert, cambozola
• Blue veined cheeses e.g. stilton, roquefort
• Goat or sheep cheeses e.g. feta, chevre
• Any unpasteurised soft and cream cheese

I got these from a book on pre-conceptual care (not specific to IVF). I am very concerned about the no chocolate mentioned previously can you tell me where this comes from, is it someone’s clinic? I’ve given everything else up but I’m not sure I’ve got the will power to give up chocolate as well!
