Dear Shoe Chicks.....

just a tiny note of warning  your feet often change a size during/after a pg! half a size is normal, no idea why - it's not just water/swelling either, it can be permanent.

I know who Carrie chooses....haha!

I love how they've dealt with Miranda & Brady. Seems quite realistic and they didn't try to make her look super glam 2 episodes after giving birth; which drove me insane with Friends, I stopped watching it as I was so fed up of Rachel's I-have-a-baby-but-you-never-see-or-hear-or-smell-her stance....good, I feel better for venting, thank you!

I also keep an eye on Samantha and Smith. Just because I'm 13 years older than Finn so despite being NOTHING like her, we do have the love of a younger man in common.

Hope all are well. Bel keep talking about the Whitsundays please. I sent my parents there when they came to visit me in Sydney and they raved...... I did make it to Vanuatu so will conjure up delicious islands in my head.....can't really complain tho', spring has begun here, which is about 6 weeks early. Papers said yesterday it's the earliest in 56 years! Yipee....it's a big fat 4 degrees right now (9am).

I'm off shoe shopping today and maybe trousers. I've only just got back into my pre.Maya jeans so it's about time I treated myself to something new. I'd been holding off just-in-case but can now shop at will (sad smile - not sure there's an icon for that).

Keep well and looking forward to hearing your scan news.
love
Debra.

Hello Fellow sex in the city fans

I went out after work last night but some of the girls came back to mine about midnight and we watched the last episode, luckily my other half was away out as well. So she ends up with Big, it was so nice, I hated that Russian guy, now don't come crying to me later that you wanted to be surprised by ending. It was fab!

I am so jealous that you can be outside eating your dinner and swimming, after telling you on Thursday that the weather was better it snowed and peed down with rain yesterday, its gale force winds tonight though and took us an extra hour to come back from the football as the road bridge we go across was closed so had to do a detour.

Yeah I think I have the same shopping habits as you and Debra, shoes, handbags, make up, also have a thing for brooches at the moment, got to love your accessories. I work for the local council my new job that I start on Monday is part housing and social work, dealing with the finance of putting support packages in place for vulnerable people, its a bit more money but not an amazing salary. I worked in pensions for 13 years after leaving school but got fed up so I started a social policy degree with the open university and looked to find a job that sort of relates, I'm in my third year now, its a bit tough to study and work full time but its good to take your mind of all the ivf stuff when things get tough. What is it you do? Have you thought what you want to do after the baby or is it too early for that sort of thing?

Not long to your scan now, I can imagine that you would think that you should feel different, soon enough I suppose.

Your holiday sounds fab, I love to swim but Martin is afraid of the water, I think, and has never learned to swim so I don't get to go holidays like that. We are going to Sorrento which is in the south of Italy and just across the bay is Capri, so the shopping may be good but out my price range, still we can both use it as an excuse to shop before we go.

Your new shoes sound fab, very chic, 8) I also heard the rumour that your feet might get larger after the baby, Debra, did yours?

Just of to have my tea and watch some rubbish on the telly. Debra, I agree about the Miranda v Rachel thing, thats why Sex in the city is so fab, in real life we all look crap at times.

Speak to you soon

Wendy :)

Hey gals,
Is lovely that Carrie ends up with Big!!..I just told dh and he said that he knew that already..Why am I the last to know!!..Completely agree with the Miranda comments, at least she looked quite stressed and busy after having Brady, Rachel just looked skinny and glamorous and smug and I had to hate her :?

Debra, Do so hope you enjoy your first mothers day with Maya, she sounds divine..Who knows, Finn might redeem himself with brekky in bed??..Is that true about the shoes???, does this mean my ballerina shoes will only fit for a short time?, must get lots of wear out of them between now and then??, that could also mean that I need to buy more shoes as the foot size changes, this might be a very positive thing!! .

Deb, your younger man sounds lovely, I've never had anything in common with Samantha, you have that on me!! Deb, you should have sent yourself to the Whitsundays!!!, what a great daughter though to send your mum and dad!!..We haven't decided which island to go to as yet...My preference would probably be Hayman, I've day tripped there in the past, it is completely beautiful, unspoilt and gorgeous..The coral around Hayman (and most of the Whitsundays) is so vibrant, we're very excited about booking something. Johnie works in the same building as Qld Tourism, he keeps bringing home amazing brochures, we just have to decide on which one we'll go to!! (what a curse!?!?!) :? ...4 degrees in Spring..OMG!!!!!!!, how cold does it get in winter???????

Wendy, Sorrento sounds just divine, my sister is about to ehar over to Italy for three weeks in April, this is a HUGE trip from Australia, a 24 ish hour flight, so no mean feat! Your job sounds challenging, but rewarding. I'm an Occupational Therapist, I work with people with hand injuries and with children with burns and toiletting problems (quite diverse I know!!). I'm in a management position though, I oversee the OT's in my district, but try very hard to maintain eight hours of clinical work per week (otherwise I'd go insane!!!)..Would lurve to give up work when babies come along, would definately take twelve months off,m then hopefully return to work part time..Sounds like a lifetime away at the present.
Well chicks, catch up again soon
Take care Deb, thinking of you :)
