I start down regging on Sunday with the Lucrin - yikes here goes again! I'm going to change the time I do it to the evening so DH can help me, he was at work last time.
Kagome I hope the first injection went ok - remember just slap yourself and then stick it in quick ooh sorry that sounds funny but you know what I mean

Whats the slapping about Jag If you do it hard enough does it make the leg go dead I inject in the morning and its still hurting this evening, doesnt normally, I guess I just picked a tender spot to inject in.

Hi Gail on my last lot of injections if I slapped myself it stung a bit and distracted me when I stuck the needle in - v. strange way of doing things but thats me! Jag

After 2 previous cycles I'm still not used to injections. Got phobia anout needles. Still debating whether to go to swansea cromwell or london cromwell.

Hello my slapping friends! First slap was last night. Just like old times (not). DH did it but he slapped further down my leg and then stuck it in higher - no good at all!

We had a great weekend, we went to the west coast of NZ for a day trip and fed eels in the river yuck but fun!

Jen - Cetrodide whats that? is that the down regging injection?
We are a bunch of slappers in the nicest possible sense!
I've just worked out I will probably be on my 2ww over the Christmas break and my test date may be on New Years Day. We will also be travelling back home from family at the top of the south island which will take a couple of days, we will leave on the 2nd Jan. I wonder if I will have to go 17 days before testing as we have new years day and the day after as public holidays. Ooh my! I didn't get to the 2ww last time but it sounds excrutiating, 3 days more sounds like a double nightmare!
Has anyone else experienced the 2ww over public holidays?

i am on a short or flare cycle. 2 days after AF i started gonal f . Then on day 7, of stimming i use a prostap ( a type of down reg but antagonist)called certrotide to stop the follies letting go of the eggs too soon.
It's a type of cycle thats used for poor response or high OHSS risk. it's shorter and you don't get mega headaches from the down reg..
I have never done an IVF 2ww, but had 2 when i was natuarally preg. Waiting for anything is a NIGHTMARE for me anyway. can you not do an HTP when your on hols day 14? The clinic will advise you. GOOD LUCK
Thx for the info Jeni - you learn something new every day. Nightmare if you look as if you have been stung by a bee. I get a rash from my lucrin for about an hour a bit like a nettle rash.
Aren't we ladies lucky the things we get!
I thought HPT's gave false results and you should only go by blood tests?
