Hi everyone

Enjoying(!) another sleepless night with my little angel! She happily sleeps well most of the day and wakes continuously for feeds early hours of the morning. Me and DH are taking it in turns to sit up with her and then catch up on naps in turns. DH then has to wake me to feed her as necessary when im sleeping, but at the moment she doesnt feed for too long, so its going ok! Ive found it quite difficult to sleep at the same time as DH, even when Jenna is asleep. Im always checking she's ok. I cant explain the overwhelming love that I have for her, its just amazing. I could sit and stare at her for hours.
Thank you all so much for your well wishes. I cant wait to share all our experiences as parents once your little ones arrive. We will have to set up a thread on the parents after treatment forum when we have a few more of us. I will get DH to sort photos online soon as well, so you can all see Jenna.
Take care everyone
Love Kim

Kim,

It's so nice to hear from you and how things are going with Jenna. We found the first few weeks quite challenging as far as the night sleeping. We were told to wake Meagan every 3 hours to feed. Now we are letting her wake us up during the night when she is ready (per doctor's orders). She's not sleeping as much during the day but she is sleeping a bit longer overnight now. I can't believe she is almost 7 weeks old already.

Hang in there. The sleeping part will get better. A thread for new mom's would be great. Take care!
