Vita,

That is wonderful news about your BETA! I only had one beta and definitely wanted another one, but my doctor's nurse said that it was not necessary, since my first beta was 506. I have also had cramps and twinges, but no discharge. I have to wait until next Friday for my 1st scan! Maybe I can talk the doctor into giving me a beta on Monday. I hate the thought of waiting an entire week!

Regards,
Tammy

Hello Everyone~~~

I had my 7 week scan last week and deteremined we were having triplets....we saw 3 little heartbeats beating away. To our surprise my husband and i couldnt really say anything i think the shock of it all has been settling in this week.... I havent posted anything about it because i am so scared of the idea of triplets... Not the managment of them after birth but the risks involved in pregnancy, preterm labor and birth defects.

My doctor mentioned to us a selective reduction, but im so scared of this idea. I dont know if i can go through with it only because all three are measuring in perfectly so far and nothing seems to point of a problem. Had i had prior incidences of miscarriage or difficulty or if one of the embies were not growing at the same rate maybe i would have considered the selective reduction. At this point i have lost my sleep from worrying and confusion... what is one to do, after trying so long and never getting a bfp we are now faced with 3 babies..... I feel so blessed to be able to get pregnant with triplets but yet i worry so much about there fetal development and long term problems... I need so much help and advice. My husband has clearly stated he cant make a decision about the reduction so its left upon my shoulders... I have told my mother and shes a bigger wreck then i am. worrying all the time. the problem is that i am about 60 lbs overweirhgt and not sure if this will have any negative impact on my embies.

Anyone pregnant with triplets please help i know Chel and Dottie are also in the same situation and i would reallly appreciate any advice.
I feel liek a lost soul at the moment. wishing everyone a better state of mind.
With Gods Blessings BFP!

Vita,

Congrats on your triplets!! There are many women who give birth to triplets. If they are all three doing well, is there a need to think about selective reduction at the present time? Maybe you should get another medical opinion. Hopefully, some other women currently pregnant with triplets can provide insight for you.

hi vita,
I m in the same boat as u. I was also shocked when i saw 3 heart beats. I was almost close to tears. DH was also not prepared for 3. We are worried abt many things, my size (i m small size), the trauma of having preterm babies, the risks involved for the babies and me, bringing up 3 babies at the same time (my entire family is in another country), financial and mental strain and finally my career.

I know there are many women who give birth to triplets and are happy, but its all totally upto individual. My main concern is the babies health, i cant imagine having any sick baby. We asked our doctor abt SR(selective reduction) during my 6th week u/s, he said its illegal in singapore and i have to travel to someother country to do it. He had asked us to think abt it and confirm on our next scan which is next week so that he can recommend a doc.

we are still unable to decide, dh wants me to go for the SR, but i m still speculating. Honestly speaking i still hav not fully celebrated my pregnancy yet.

I did not mention abt SR earlier as i was worried that some ladies may be offended by it. sorry all that i have to do it now, i never thot i'll have to go thru this.

Hello Ladies~~

Hayley, hi how are you feeling...it seems you are doing better fingers crossed everything will continue to be well with you! You gave us a scare when you were in the hospital.. How excited are you to find out the sex of your babies....do you or your hubby have a preference??? For me the sex of the babies (x3) doesnt matter but our doctor knows how bad my husband wants a girl and gave him a scare at our last scan, he told him they were all boys.... he was playing around with him, my husband had no clue that it was way to early to tell the gender of the babies.... He was excited but said wow doc i couldnt get a single girl in there???

As for me im doing pretty well thank God, still havent really felt sick or nauseaus, just at certain times of the day i feel like i have an upset stomach but other then that no morning sickness. I feel cramps throughout the day pulling and pressure type of pain which is all said to be normal especially with triplets hanging out inside, im sure they will be pushing around for room...

Hope to hear from the rest of you ladies and pray that everyones scans and pregnancies will be smooth all the way through!
With Gods Blessings BFP!

hey langton so nice to hear all is well thanks for the positive words, i am truly happy that everything worked out for you...chell I hope all is well kareen hanging in there???? I had another ultrasound yesterday and an ob appointment today, we had some red bleeding over the weekend all is well the second baby has not disappeared yet so they are pretty much at a standstill but the other baby is very healthy strong heartbeat and measuring exactly to the day, i am almost 12 weeks and this am my OB actually heard the heartbeat with dopler we all became teary eyed and are starting to breath a sigh a little. He did say he felt comfortable setting me up for the normal pregnant mommy treatments. I will still be high risk and most activities limited (including a sex life..WAHHHH) for awhile longer....i wish i was brave enough to start looking at baby things but my heart just isnt in it yet..I am truly thankful and greatful for all the support here and all around me....but every quick cramp and spotting incident scares the hell out of me ...but i am staying cautiously optomistic....i hope all is well and for all the girls on the general board im praying hard and waiting for your posts on this side !!!! septembers coming guys!!!---all my best Kell
