thook that is awesome! I must have looked for your post a hundred times yesterday! I am so happy you are well on your way. Maybe now you can sit back and relax and enjoy the next 8 months without too much worry!
brit10 - I too had to do the V-8. In fact, it is one of the few things that my stomach has not rejected! I am struggling with water retention as well, but the days I don't drink the V-8 I blow up quickly. I had gained 4 lbs in 2 days because I quit drinking the stuff! I now swear by it and will leave it on the shopping list for the rest of the pregnancy (and possibly beyond).
Thook - I am thrilled for you! Who knows, you might deliver on Father's Day (at least you won't have to by him a gift ).
Jeck - My scan is on November 2nd. I hope you are doing well. I am so excited about everything.
My youngest son Christian and I went to the mall and looked at baby stuff. The realization that we are starting over has sunk in. We saw the cribs and the swings and the bassinets and the strollers and the PRICE TAGS on all of them . They are more expensive since the last baby we had.
I had an OHSS checkup with my RE today. The doctor says it's still moderate and that HOPEFULLY it will begin to ease up in this next week. I've gained 12 pounds of fluid in the last 9 days.
During the ultrasound to check the size of my ovaries, the doctor pointed out a little dark beanie that he said was my pregnancy - so that was very exciting! He said definitely saw the one and maybe, MAYBE a second, but wouldn't say for sure. He doesn't want to speculate on mulitples this early.
In one of the waiting rooms, there was a couple sitting together and the wife was crying. I didn't want to go in and sit with them because she was upset...and with the OHSS swelling I look 4 months pregnant. Seeing her upset really put things in perspective for me - I cried on the way home. I've been so preoccupied with my OHSS that I haven't taken the time to enjoy my BFP. I have to remember how blessed we are...I can't take this miracle for granted.

First IVF attempt (drug study),
Day 5 Transfer of 2 blasts
10/16=BFP!
11/13=TWINS!
Thank you all for the warm wishes... I can't wait to see everyone elses results after their first scans. I have picked up a few books to help the time pass and I'm going to try and enjoy everyday as much as I can. So far this week has been good (I know it's only Monday)... no morning sickness.
All - Is anyone else having a problem believing their BFP? I am still finding it hard to believe this is real. I keep waiting to wake up and find out it is a dream. Other that being tired and bloated, I have no real symptoms. At first I had the nausea, but now I don't. I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I really can't believe that it worked. Maybe when they do the scan I will feel better and it will seem more real. I was just wondering.
Rachael- I had a really hard believing it was a BFP once we found out. I even went and bought a HPT and took it about a week later just to reassure myself. I think the wait between when you find out and your first scan is worse then the 2ww itself.... I'm sure everything is just fine. However, when you do have your first scan and you get to see your little one or ones your mind will be put at ease for sure.
Thank you! I was starting to feel a little crazy because I was having trouble with it. I think the fact that we had given up on the baby is part of it. I had to put it behind me so I could keep going during the 2ww. Now we are still in shock. Our RE even told us he was shocked that we got pregnant. Hopefully the first scan will help it all sink in.
Rachael - how funny you should post that question now!
I was just sitting outside with my husband talking and I actually said, "When I get pregnant, I won't be able to....." and he looked at me and said "Sweetheart you ARE pregnant!" And this happened just minutes after talking to my RE office about today's hcg (2738) and scheduling my ultrasound!!
I don't know when it will sink in. When labor starts maybe? Or during a 2am feeding? Maybe not until he/she applies for college???!!!

Hope all you ladies had a nice weekend! My mom came in so I have been busy. There are so many BFP, it is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I can wait to watch how all of us progress! I think it is so funny how most of us seem to go through the same phases! I too like thook bought a HPT a week after my positive to see if it was still positive and it was! Even though I have been busy time is dragging.
He thook, did you get any sickness or anything the last couple weeks. How did you feel?
Brit10 those numbers look like multiples I have been told the same thing by the doc so I anxious to find out. When is your scan scheduled for?
cowgirl - my first scan isn't until nov 13 - that's 3 more weeks!
a couple of the doctors have said they suspect multiples, but refuse to say for sure. one of the nurses told me she's seen higher numbers in singles, and lower numbers in multiples. we don't know what to think at this point!
i am VERY excited to report this morning that i did NOT gain weight today - for the first time in 10 days! because of the OHSS, i've been putting on a pound or so a day. finally this morning i'm the same weight as i was yesterday - so maybe this is a sign that the end of this is near!!!!

Cowgirlclass- I've actually been really nauseous since last week Monday.... although it comes in waves. Some days I'll wake up and feel really dizzy & sick so I'll pop a few crackers and that seems to cure things. Other days I'll start feeling nauseous towards the afternoon.... It's funny I have crackers on my nightstand, in my purse and at my desk at work. People at my work must have some clue by now what's going on!
Brit10- Glad to hear that you haven't gained any weight today... maybe this means your OHSS is on it's way out for good. My fingers are crossed for you sweetie.
I was hoping to join you if you don't mind. I got by BFP yesterday. My numbers were 78.9 and I go back on Thursday for another blood test. I like you all really can not believe it. It seems like it is so unreal. I just pray that my numbers go up. I really do not have any symptoms yet other than sore boobs and a little cramping now and then but I am only 9 days past transfer.
Cowgirl - I am sorry that you are feeling lousey hopefully it won't last too long.
Brit10 - How are you doing? I am so glad your OHSS is finally getting in control. Hopefully now that you are feeling a little better you can go out and celebrate. I saw your posting on the other board about documenting what we have been through and I have often thought of that. I was thinking about starting a journal of some kind going forward.
Thook - I am so happy your scan went well. You must feel so relieved.
Jeck - How are you feeling? Thank you for the updated list it makes it so much easier to keep track of everyone.
Are you guys telling anyone about your BFP? My mom is the only one who knows. My DH and I figure that if all goes well we will tell the imediate family on Thanksgiving.
