Hi,

My husband and I may have the same decision to make regarding transfering two or three. It's a very difficult decision we have five weeks until we have to make our final decision since we are doing FET. I have been looking for research on the internet to see if transfering three frozen as compared two has a greater sucess rate.

It is very interesting reading about all of you and your lives beyond IVF. I'm from Connecticut and am 28 but only for two more months. My husband however is 39. I am a special education consultant. I travel all over the state of connecticut and make sure that students with disabilities are being programed for correctly in schools in regard to the state and federal laws. I enjoy my job but I work a 50 hour week and sometimes the cases break my heart. My husband is in the entertainment buisness and runs an outdoor and indoor theater. So in my spare time I go to as many concerts as I can, though I'm a country fan at heart.

COCO- Welcome to the March thread!!! Everyone here is amazing! That was a pretty funny story at the pharmacy. I am on BCP's too and take a multivitamin instead of prenatals.

NIMS- Thank you so much for asking your acu guy about FSH and Clomid. That was so sweet of you to do that. I actually feel much better about it and not stressing too much (until I see RE on Monday )

STEPH, I am so sorry for what I said about the pinching needles during acu. I didn't mean to turn you off about it but they really were not too bad. I did however have the same sensation with the achiness in my left leg compared to the other ones but didn't say a word about it to my acu lady. I wonder what that was about but now reading what the other girls have experienced it must be something to do with my reproductive system....very interesting... Good luck with yours and trust me, you'll feel very relaxed which is all worth it and hopefully give us all success! P.S. I'm not a big sports fan but I do know about the rivalry bet. the Ohio state and Michigan. A lot of people around here are very big buckeye fans though! I don't care much for them because I'm orig. from New York City. BTW, recently saw You Me and Dupree and Miami Vice through Netflix...quite entertaining for watching at home...

NICKY, Wow, amazing job on the list. It's so great to see where everybody is from and how old. We definitely have a very diverse group with different backgrounds and meet here all because of our baby hopes and dreams....that's so wonderful! As far as the 3 embies, why are they already telling you to "terminate" 1 if you get pregnant with triplets? I know it sounds pretty scary but a friend of mine who's pretty petite (5'2" and 110 lbs) just delivered triplets (fr. IUI) at 32 weeks and all babies are doing quite well. I know the complications are higher and different with everyone but after she had them, I actually felt much better about transferring 3 embies if I'm lucky enough to get them...But of course, it is a very personal decision...and whatever you decide will be what's best for you...and time will tell and you will make the right decision.

SHANTALA, that's great your dh is home!!! Sometimes it's so hard to focus on your significant other when we're going through this roller coaster but I'm glad you're there for each other and both very supportive of all what's going on.

BWHD, I hope you'll get to your target wt soon but please don't starve yourself....I think eating healthy and exercising is the way to go which I believe you already are doing...I do suggest snacking on fruit and veggies and eating lean meats or fish in moderation and drinking lots of water is a good healthy "diet" alternative. Good luck!!!!

HOLLY, Congrats on AF coming.....are you on bcp's at all?

RAE, how are you feeling???? Your job is very interesting!!! What languages do you speak? I wish I could speak other languages too. And I wish I was a bookworm too. I just read magazines and IVF books

VICKY, I agree, that AF of yours is pretty stubborn!! Enjoy your cruise though!!!

NERMS, I love watching the boob tube too...love Lost, Grey's Anatomy, What about Brian, and all the Friends and Sex and the City reruns. I am quiet the couch potato and our elliptical machine in our basement just collects dust....I love food too...I'm a big asian food fanatic- just had Korean food for dinner tonight and it's great....love Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese food. I can actually give up sushi if I ever do get pregnant....for 9 months!!!

I'll have to make this a quick one...i'm going to a baby shower today for one of the girls at work...i've been organising the games!!! I had to go to the supermarket and buy some newborn nappies for one of the games...thought to myself one day (god willing of course..in case you're reading this god!! ) i will be picking these up for my little one

Just wanted to say Nicky...hope you're feeling better today...sounds like you really did get alot of info-don't really know about 2 vs 3, i thought we just weren't allowed to put back 3 in uk-but i don't know..sorry! Howeverf one of my patients bought in three 9 year old triplets for a check up the other day-she told me she'd had treatment, but other than getting the shock of having 3 all are completely healthy and fine. I hope the right answer comes along for you!

Shantala...i'm very pleased DH is back...can hear the relief in your message! Sweet how despite everything he's going through he's still raring to go with ivf! Let me know if you neede any help with LPC..when the time comes...my sisters have some excellent notes..they both practice in birmingham.

pep - your post made me laugh....definitely not a smartie pants, i just work my socks off!! sorry, didnt mean to make you nervous at all about the accu. seriously, i'm the biggest baby there is so PLEASE DONT WORRY!!!! its just like a little pinch and it was only a couple that i felt, the rest i didnt even feel go in!! and i promise it is so worth it!! for me to go back next week, says a lot!! there was a time i would nearly pass out if i just saw a needle!!

anna - thanks, it really is much better now dh is home. ive kept all my feelings to myself this last week (except on here) and have hidden them from dh...now he's home its impossible to hide the mood swings and tearfulness but he is a real darling...i run and get his painkillers for him and he runs and gets the tissues....

nerms - hahaha.....anyone would think you;re a cyberpsychologist and not a dentist!! haha....i certainly am very relieved!! i nearly slept all day yesterday after dh came home! thanks for the offer with help on the lpc. which law school did they do theirs at?? i am wondering how i will cope studying on that part-time and having twins! only joking....hope you have a lovely time at the baby shower...

thats it for me....got my meds yesterday which was exciting...they did forget to send the pen, bin and swabs with it though so ive had to ring them and they are going to send them on tuesday. the one thing i really wanted to see was how big the needles are but they are all individually wrapped so i cant see them!!

hope everyone is having a good weekend!! im at work till 1 but at least its not busy (can you tell!?)

Nicky...so they are giving you a hard time with the decision I see..., it is a tough one, there were several people on this forum that I remember that became pregnant with 3 and went ahead with the reduction, maybe you can ask them, they have a lot of info about it (I remember Cinders from the Nov06 thread, she can explain that to you better, she even saw a neonatologist to understand better the pros and cons)...

Shantala...how great that your DH is back home!!!!, I am glad you are going forward with your cycle, and that your DH is so supportive, that is so important!!!. So you received your meds already, that is a big step!. I remember when I got my meds on the mail on my last cycle (which was my first) and I couldn't believe the size of the package, it was humongous!!, I was like "OMG am I going to inject all this stuff!!!"

Nerms.....yes, you are right, I am leaving tomorrow afternoon for the cruise, thanks for the good wishes!!

Coco...welcome to this thread!!, ooooooooo your pharmacy story was hilarious!!!, I can imagine the boy with a surprised look on his face thinking there was a mistake , and I guess all town now nows your plans since he said it loud on the speaker!!!!

Steph, don't freak out about acu, it was nothing, most of the needles you don't even feel them, and the ones you do feel, is like a very mild electricity actually, not even pain, and afterwards you feel great, so go ahead with it!!

About me, I am 29y/o, same as my DH. I am actually an MD in my country (I am from argentina), did all my exams to practice here in the US, and started my residency, but afterwards I realised that it wasn't the kind of life I wanted for myself and decided to start a business together with my DH, we are in the construction and real estate business now, with my whole family, I do the title company work actually, have been doing this for a year since I ended up with my residency.....
And about my AF, she is still not here!!!, can you believe this??, when I don't want her here she is the first to show up, and now she is making me wait...AAARRRRRGHHHH!!!! . If she doesn't show up by today, then I guess I will be an April buddie, but I will stay here anyway, even if you fire me!!!

Hi guys, it's different for us as we are using donor sperm, and un able to freeze my embies because of the donor sperm laws.

So we have to destroy embies that are extra.

You are right in the UK you can only have 2 embies transfer, unless theres a reason why 3, some times age is a reason but in my case, it's about the fact i cant freeze!!

Hope that makes sence!!!

I have been worrying about thi un nessicarily. (sp?)

So now our outing with god son has been cancelled, so we are going our for dinner with our mates instead, so that'll be nice. it's pouring with rain, it a really yuk day here, weather wise!

I am really looking fwd to fri, i should hopefully get my cycle plan, andthen i'll be truely counting days!!! yeah!!!!
they have found a recipient for my eggs, so that good too, and i am happy that she is happy andwaiting for my eggs!!!

How much to do guys pay for med in the states? I wonder how it is, there, we do have the nhs here to help us, other wise. I am sure i would worry about that too, do u seriously buy these on line too?? How do u know they aresafe on line???

Hey girls, just a quick post to say goodbye for a week....I am leaving this afternoon on the cruise, might be checking once in a while if internet is not too expensive....I wish you the best of luck for the upcoming events this week while I am gone!! .
AF still didn't show up, so now I am praying it will show up on or after Thursday so it gives me time to come back for my bw and scan!!, so stop jigging for now ..

Girls, AF is on her way me!!!!

I have browny smudges ( i usually get this 1or 2 days before AF full bleed)

So now its sunday night, sure AF will be here full on tomorrow or tues, so now that will mean, if it's tues, I need Fsh, Lh and oestrial (sp??) on day 2,3,4 which will be, wed thur or fri. i need day one to be tues, as going to clinic on fri. wow, i cant beleive Af is here early!! (Sorry vicky, I know ur'e probably P***ed off at my AF coming)
so i am glad, but dh has just shed some tears, as i told him about brown smudges. he knows he'll never be the father, but i told him he'll still be a great daddy after this IVF is +ive!!

As i sit here, AF pains are getting stronger, I really dont want it coming monday, please hold out for Tues!!
