Wow! LOL I was put in a wheel chair when I went to the ER and I felt completely ridiculous. It did lighten the mood a little bit and got a chuckle out of me and DH :)

Cymplicity and Aims, I'm glad your babies are all doing well. How scary! I keep hoping that once I make it past my 12 weeks that I will feel more at ease that everything will be ok.

Ianmichael, I'm getting horrible headaches too. That has been my worst symptom lately. Although I used to get alot of migraines before getting pregnant so I'm not sure if mine are from pregnancy or not. Either way they suck! Tylenol isn't doing much for me either.

I don't go back to the dr. until July 9th. I was told I will only have one more u/s when I'm around 18-20 weeks along. I was kinda hoping to have one of those dr.'s who did them at every visit...oh well. I also decided against doing any of the prenatal testing. I just don't think I can take the stress and also the chance of them being false positives. I'm just going to pray the baby is ok.

Hope you are all doing well! I'm so excited to be so close to my 2nd trimester!

Well I took the Intelligender home gender prediction test. According to the FAQs with fraternal twins if the solution came up green you're having at least 1 boy. If it was yellow/orange you can assume you're have 2 girls! My results? ORANGE!!! No green whatsoever. I was convinced I have at least 1 boy in there. Still believe that I do, but this little test will at least get me thinking about the possibility of 2 girls. We'll just have to wait and see how accurate it is! :D

cymplicity27- OMG!!!! 2 girls would be cute you can dress them alike :D , but you wanted a boy too right? I cant wait to see how accurate the test was for you. Wouldn't it be crazy if indeed you had 2 girls ? I'm so bummed i cant take the test! The wheelchair story is funny lol but I bet once we all get bigger we will want people to drive us around lol

Trying for another Angel- I feel the same way about finishing my 12 weeks. I think I'll feel more at ease then. My obgyn said the same thing about the next scan being at 18-20 weeks. I cant wait that long so i signed up for the NT test just because I want to see the baby :D

aims327- so glad the babies are doing good. Rest as much as you can! I hope the bleeding doesnt come back ever again!

Has everyone told everyone about being pg? I pretty much told the whole family but not my co-workers (for those who didnt notice my bump) I just feel weird going around telling people at work that I'm pg.

aims & cynthia - good to know that your OB visits gave you good news that the babies are doing fine.

I also heard that the heartbeats are supposed to slow down going forward. My baby's heartbeat was 168 during the first OB visit. After about 3 weeks, it is now 155. Its quite normal.

Also, DH and I have decided that I won't be taking the amnio test! Thanks to you ladies for all the inputs and support regarding this test.

Tara.

Hola Chicas:

Cimplicity - Two girls, soo cute. I am very happy for you. Poor of your DH, imagine 3 women in the house with PMS. LOL. CONGRATULATIONS!! Are you feeling better?

Tara - Relax, everything will be alright. Don't think about it anymore. Tell me, what do you think? your baby is a boy or a girl?

Dys - I already told everybody since the 5 weeks, I couldn't wait. It's just a miracle that I was pregnant that I wanted to yell from the roof of my house (almost did it, my DH stop me, LOL). I knew it was to soon but just to be pregnant was a miracle.

Trying and Ian - How are your headaches? Hope your feeling better.

Sorry I could't post to everyone, but thinking of all of you.

Bye, bye first trimester, Welcome second trimester.

Talk to you later,

Sary

Tara good for you! After reading your post I asked DH what he would want to do and we pretty much came to the conclusion that we wouldn't do amnio. He said a 1:50 chance wasn't enough to convince him it would be worth the risk.

dys24, my family knew around 6 weeks even though I wasn't ready to tell them. DH couldn't keep quiet. All my coworkers new by 10 wks. A few knew from the time we started the IVF process and instead of continuing to whisper about it, we just told everyone. The only people I haven't told are some friends I haven't since about December of last year. I know they will be totally excited and start planning parties immediately so I kinda keep putting it off thinking I just want to make sure everything is good with the pregnancy. Who knows if I'll ever not be nervous! I'll probably just run in to one of my girlfriends in the mall with a big belly and get yelled at

cymplicity - I will be very curious to see if the test is correct for 2 girls. I'm very tempted to take the test myself, but DH would probably talk me out of it.

AFM - The spotting has now turned to old blood. I'm so relieved but worried it will come back. I just hope the placenta fixes itself like my doctor thinks it will. I just changed all my classes for fall to online so I can stay off my feet. I guess I'm getting my wheelchair tomorrow.

Well since my last post, I have passed a quarter size blood clot. It really freaked me out. I wasn't expecting it since I was just spotting with old blood. I made sure I had a zip lock bag incase this happened then called the on-call number. I talked to a nurse who didn't really sound like she knew what to tell me to do. She ended up telling me since it was one clot and no cramping then wait until tomorrow to see how I was doing. Otherwise if it gets worse, go to the ER. Well, after passing the clot, I expected to wipe a lot of blood but it was back to old blood. Now, the spotting is completely gone. It was as if I was supposed to pass the clot. I'm baffled and relieved at the same time. Hopefully the spotting is gone for good but afraid to get my hopes up. Every time I think it's gone, it shows up again.

Cymplicity - Were you diagnosed with previa or just told the twins were fighting?

Nothing yet aims. They'll be able to tell me more at my appointment on Monday. I want clarification on this "fighting" thing too because I haven't been able to reference ANYTHING online about it. I've just had some "old blood" spotting that seems to have stopped just today. I'm so nervous every time I go to the bathroom. Like you I'm waiting for it to happen again at any time :(

So DH surprised me yesterday with a Boppy Cuddle Pillow (after I had already ordered the Boppy Wedge Pillow). I slept with the cuddle pillow last night and although it felt a little awkward, I didn't feel any pulling or stress on my belly. I slept pretty sound :) I'll try out the wedge pillow whenever it gets delivered. He also bought me a few pairs of lounge maternity shorts that feel oh so good!!!

Anyone's bump getting bigger?? Can't really tell with mine.

Hi - Sorry to be crashing from the November thread, but I was poking around curious about some of the other people I had seen in the ivf board I was in before I got pregnant - and wanted to say to aims327 that I have had several episodes of bleeding with clots. I know what you mean, every time I relaxed and was really enjoying the pregnancy, BAM I'm bleeding again. And those clots coming out are scary. Obviously, I also freaked out! But every time when they checked me everything was fine and my doctor said that it just happens to some "lucky" women. But as long as there's no cramping and you're not soaking through a pad in one hour it isn't as likely to be anything serious. I only have one in there, but was told a likely cause was that my placenta is "fairly close" to my cervix, though not close enough to qualify for placenta previa.

I know nothing will make the bleeding/clotting NOT traumatizing, but it helps a little to know that it's not unusual or necessarily a sign that something has gone horribly wrong. Hang in there!

Hello ladies,

Welcome to the second trimester!!! Wow! What a journey! And how many new things we learnt!!

Kudos to us ladies!

Cynthia: It's so interesting that the doctor said the twins are fighting already! Two girls would be so cute. By the way, what is a good place to buy maternity clothes?

Trying: I am also disappointed that they don't do ultrasound during every visit. I don't feel comfortable not knowing what is going on inside my belly for more than a week!!

Dys: My bump is showing now. I have told the close circle of friends and co-workers, but haven't told everybody. I love the way they look at me when we meet in the hallway. They look down on my belly instead of my eyes!! Its funny.

Aims: Take good rest and hopefully the placenta will be fine.

Sari: Thanks for the kind words.

Tara.

Hi:

Just want to ask, how the hormones are treating you? My mood swings are driving me crazy, not to mention my DH. Last night I started crying without any reason.

Have a beatiful weekend to all of you.

Hi Sari. My hormones haven't been that bad. My mood is usually just dictated by how I'm feeling physically.

Tara, I've found some cute pieces at Ross. They have a small maternity section and I've gotten jean shorts and capris for under $15 (believe the shorts were $7). I also got some summer dresses for under $15 that weren't maternity but the material and flow will allow me to grow into them...for awhile at least. Motherhood had tanks on sale 2 for 7.50 and t-shirts 2 for 9.99. I looked in Target and they are actually too expensive I think (for something I'm not going to wear very long).

Hello all

Post by mt »

Hi All ,

Sari: I agree , the mood swings are bad .2 days ago my DH came home late after lil party and i was crying and yelling at him (which i never did) :?: .So i covering it as mood swing  .

Tara:Good to know you are showing up .I guess i need to wait 2 more weeks before i do . But my bump is bigger in the evenings than in the morning is it the same with everyone

Cynthia: Good to know things are getting better now .The pillow helps a lot .But still I am not able to sleep well as I move a lot in sleep and now i have to move slowly which wakes me up.

Aims: Take rest I am very sure you will be fine .Don't panic much ( I know easy to advice).

Days 24: My family knew at 6 weeks when we heard the heartbeat we told them .We told to few friends who visited us during this time but did not call and tell all of them.

Trying and Ian: Headaches are very bad for me .If i dont take a shot nap after my lunch I am getting it.So trying to sleep when ever I feel like it .

I wish and pray to god to help everybody to feel better and the babies to be growing big and healthy. :D
