Hi everyone -

How are you all doing this weekend? We had a beautiful week last week 60 -70 degrees each sunny day, and now we're back to 30's and freezing. How does Mother Nature know that I just took out all of my spring/ summer clothes? So i've swiping my DH's warm clothes! Ugh what i wouldnt do to have a bigger house so I wouldnt have to switch out clothes each season. I've been wondering where all the future baby clothes are going to go ( since I have every closet in the house full of my stuff - ha ha)
I've been really lucky with not having too much nausea the last few days, but indigestion and heartburn seems like they're here to stay unfortunately. Whew! its a good thing that zantac is approved for pg.
Ok guys - so Lou, Gi and Ronda can you all get through tomorrow? I cant wait to hear all of your good news on Monday! it'll be a big day around here

Claudia I'm so happy for you!    That really was a rise worth waiting for!Has the news sunk in yet? Your DH must be beyond thrilled! I would just love to tell you that you'll be stress free now - but it seems that you just worry about different things now -I think we will only truly relax after the delivery? Well on second thought then you probably shift your worries again - sigh - What I mean is I'm so happy that you're here!

Lou I've heard that Blue cross is really good insurance, I hope that they dont pull what Aetna did as far as yes, we cover prenatal care, but only from an OB - they even went as far as telling me that my ivf package should have included aftercare until i was released! Weasels! How are you feeling honey?

Steph Oh, yes I definitely plan on asking the OB if he minds me shoving my dopey Aetna OB nurse at him! hee heee And how are you doing? Twin mama? How many people has your DH told lately? I think its too sweet that he just cant contain himself - your heart must want to burst when he does things like that

Hope Ugh! I'm sorry that you're having such a rough time lately. You really have a lot on your plate, and all that m/s on top of everything else? I hope that it subsides and you get some extra rest.

Gi hee heee - i just picked up some hagen daz vanilla swiss almond myself... lets see who gets to it first, me or my DH?

Karen I hear you sister! i get it the same way - lots of nausea, but no vomiting at all. I think you're doing great considering you could have sickness times two! Oh, honey just order online - their sizes run true, but the pants do run a little long

hugs & prayers to us all - xoxo

Hi all - Sorry I have MIA lately...I have been having m/s but have not thrown up, thank goodness. I find myself on the couch when I can. I did have some spotting after the vaginal u/s but for those of you who remember I had spotting before and went in to find out it is my cervix. My cervix is very tender and with taking progesterone and then having the u/s irritate this it caused spotting. The spotting is not much and is light...I just want others to know because I am sure it will happen to someone else and it can be stressful. You know, one more thing to worry about!

They tested my progesterone and it went from 48.5 to 50 but my doctor will not wean me off until they see at least a 10 point jump. So, PIO and lozengers 3 times a day for awhile yet.

I still need to add my ticker...waiting until I feel well enough to figure it out!!

Even though I have been having m/s I wanted to read all posts and check in.

Have a good weekend!

just a quick hello before I go and eat.... again... it's exhausting to just try to eat every 2 hrs. If I don't, the nausea, shakiness, and vomitting get super-bad.

haven't had time to catch up today, but wanted to say that I've had the BEST day since the m/s started!! WOO HOO! Still nauseated and exhausted, but NO VOMITTING! NOT ONCE! YAY YAY!! YAY!!!! Took DS to see farm animals at an egg hunt today. He loved it. also got a little Easter shopping done. wow, so productive too. i'm hoping i'm turning over a NEW LEAF!

Just wanted to say hi and hope you all are feeling well. Does anyone else have a major bump already? HONESTLY!?! I looked in the mirror today and I look 5 months pg -     I know they say the 2nd shows quicker, but GEEZ LOUISE! Overnight, I've gone from hair ties and belly belts to full-blown maternity clothes! What up with that?!

Hi Ladies!

Claudia -- Yay! I'm so so happy to see how AWESOME your beta was! Congrats mama!

Karen -- I only had two beta's. One at 11dp3dt and the other at 16dp3dt. Then they scheduled my u/s for 3/29, which is 6 weeks 5 days. Maybe not all clinics check for gestational sac. The RN said she was scheduling for the heartbeat. Well, It's almost monday. Glad you haven't had bad m/s. And I'm sorry you can't exercise yet. :( That would kill me.

Gi -- Yes, I'm scared too. But you're right. We need to find out! I honestly have still been taking HPT's every 3 days or so just to make sure I still get two dark lines. Last one was this morning. I haven't had any issues at all. No cramping, spotting, m/s, etc. I just feel "normal".

Katie -- My BCBS insurance is through my employer, which is a hospital. If I am treated at one of our hospitals, then I have 90% coverage plus an employee discount of 30% on anything that's my portion (not on a co-pay though). If I go somewhere else, then my coverage is 60%. I still feel great, thanks for asking. No complaints at all. Not even a twinge of nausea.

ktelise -- So sorry for your m/s! I hope you feel better!

Steph --The women I talked to at the gym I actually knew they were pregnant because it was either very obvious or I overheard them talking about it first. I'm not quite that random! It's still pretty funny though that I did that!

AFM -- Played tennis today... maybe a bit harder than I planned on, but I honestly felt great. I played for 1.5 hours and according to my heart rate monitor my max heart rate was 176 and I burned 945 calories. Then I went lunching with a couple of close girlfriends and ended up telling them that I'm pregnant. I keep seeing them and I feel bad they don't know. I told them I have an appt on Monday so I'm not convinced until I have that appt. They were speechless and excited all at once. One of them even started to cry. She has a 1 yr old and is a single mom. So it feels more "real" for me now that I told a couple of people in my life. I'm going to wait until after Monday's u/s before I tell anyone else. I still can't believe this is happening! Now I'm waiting for DH to come home from work and we're going to a party tonight with a bunch of acquaintences... I'll have to drink sprite with a twist to make it look good....lol. The first thing people will say if I don't have a drink in my hand is... "what, are you pregnant?". And I don't want to go there!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!

Hope -- We were posting at the same time. Wait... seriously... you look 5 months pregnant at 8 weeks? And are wearing maternity clothes? You are only about 10 days ahead of me I believe. I have the slightest lil bump if I turn sideways and look for it. My clothes all still fit fine. I'm wondering if I'm normal now!?! Should I have more of a bump? I weigh myself every weekend and all that's happened is I've lost the "IVF weight" of 3-4 lbs I gain during my cycle and 2WW. Should I be gaining already? Oh no!!! Something ELSE for me to worry about!

lou! don't worry. I think I'm the ABNORMAL one! I haven't gained (much) maybe a pound or two, but my tummy is sticking out like crazy. it's not the typical "belly pooch" it's just below my boobs and down - it's tight and weird, like there's already a baby full of belly. seriously, with the way u r working out, I wouldn't be suprised if you go til 4-5 MONTHS before showing!!!! ( i'm so jealous, btw!) enjoy your work outs and don't fret... this just means u'll be back to ur old self after delivery in NO TIME! (plus, this is my 2nd child, and it's only been 15 months since i gave birth, and still had about 8-10 lbs of pregnancy weight/ivf-then weight to lose... ugh. it's never-ending.

Happy Sunday Mommies!

Lou - Don't worry about no baby bump. It isn't likey to have one until at least the 4th month. People who have had babies before do show a bit ealier. I haven't gained any weight since before this last cycle, so during the pregnancy no weight gain, even with twins in there. I went to visit a friend yesterday and she said my belly does look bigger. The babies are still below my belly button and sometimes I feel full down there. It's nice you were able to tell someone finally. I bet it feels great and more real!

Hope - I went and got some maternity tops, babydolls so I can get away with wearing them small or big. lol I didn't think I was quite ready for maternity jeans so I just got two pair of regular sized jeans just a size bigger than my biggest pair. I didn't want to sit down and be restricted in any way. Well, going one size up feels like maternity since they go all the way up to my boobs. I shopped in the regular section when I normally shop in the junior section cause I am so damn short. lol I think that's why they swim on me. Anyway... I am thinking now that maternity jeans are needed pretty soon. How about you? Going there yet? Got any left over?

ktelise - I remember you had spotting before and it was your cervix. Does that mean that you will be on pelvic rest for the rest of your pregnancy or will it be better once you get off the progesterone?

katie - Darn that weather out there! I lived with that for 6 years in CO. On my way home from work once, it started off sunny and nice, started to rain then snowed. By the time I got home it was sunny again. Strangest thing I ever witnessed weather wise. Now I'm in TX and it's either warm or cold. lol It's been nice lately, still gets pretty chilly at night, though that will change shortly. I hope you can keep that nausea at bay! :)

gi - You never know... might be more than one in there. lol I drink a lot of water too. I don't know what it is about 5am but every morning that is when my bladder wakes me up. I know what you mean about the nicker watching though... I sometimes go to the bathroom when I don't really "need" to go just so I can check. So did you attack the hagan daz and carmel egg? :) I've been snacking once a day with something small, yummy and not so healthy just to get it out of my system.

claudia - Awesome news! Can't wait to hear more of it! I hope you are feeling more relieved. Is it becoming real for you yet? I took a ton of pregnancy tests. One reason was to I could be sure, the other was to see it always telling me I was pregnant. Greatest news ever!

Karen - YAY for one more week of progesterone. Not too sure yet when I will be done. RE talked about lowering it soon based on my test results of my b/w on Tuesday. Hope the nausea doesn't get too bad, glad it hasn't so far. Lets keep hoping it behaves. :) That's funny, my DH talks about building stuff too. I won't let him though. lol He is an ameture and I don't want things falling apart in the nursey. :) He means well though. It's a good experience this time with him. My DD was with my ex husband and he wasn't like this at all and he wasn't a good dad either. Actually he just signed over his rights so she can be adopted! She should be a Ford by her birthday in June! YAY!

AFM - As you know I have been resting, well yesterday I did a little more then I have done in a while. Just more walking and doing errands and went to see a movie, visit a friend and such. It felt great to get out, but I think resting at home was the right thing to do. I could tell towards the end of the day I was doing a little too much... like an instinct. Sure enough this morning I wake up with more blood. The past two days prior I had hardly anything. BLAH No cramps though so I still believe both beanies are ok. My belly is bigger than it should be for 8 weeks and they were measuring a itty bit small so I am sure they are growing well in there considering my uterus is just under my belly button. I have b/w on Tuesday, RE wants to compare it to this past weeks b/w to see if he should start tapering me off yet. My progesterone was 46.6, can't remember what my estrogen was.. 1,000 something. They said both were good for 7 weeks. The shots are becoming even more painful, my toosh is so knotted up! I suffer through it, DH is now a pro at it and can get it pushed in pretty fast. The RE's nurse suggests warm compress and massage but it doesn't help. The massage actually hurts. Oh well, I am a big girl.. if I can go through labor, this is a piece of cake. lol Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Stephanie - Yes, I will be on pelvic rest probably for most of the pregnancy. My cervix is super sensitive and when I have spotting is stresses me and my husband out. After the u/s a few days to a week later it is gone. It is just the u/s wand rubbing my cervix. I am also taking 1 baby asprin a day so this probably does not help either. My doctor said I could stop the asprin but I have read that it may benefit pregnant woman with previous miscarriages so I decided to stay on it. The spotting is now only in the morning and then stops throughout the day. Interesting but my doctor says this is because I am laying down and also I tend to have quite a bit of cervical mucous in the mornings anyway so this is why I have the spotting in the mornings.

I will only be having abdominal u/s from here on out so once this spotting stops hopefully this is it! I have also been having a sharp pain on my right side (according to the u/s this is where the baby seems to be). I am sure this is stretching pains but still a little stressful as well.

One of my friends has a doppler and she said that we should be able to hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks so we are going to try this once I hit 10 weeks. Has anyone heard the heartbeat using a doppler yet? If so, how early were you able to hear the heartbeat.

OMG - I wish my DH was a doctor or I knew one so I could just go in for an abdominal u/s!!!

Good evening everyone - we have had a houseful of guests this weekend and we've only just sorted ourselves and the house out now that they've all left. It's 10pm and I'm heading off to bed as I'm totally shattered after two late nights/early mornings and running around catering for people, so no time to catch up on personals. I promise to do that tomorrow, but in the meantime, I just had to post a quick message to wish GOOD LUCK to our u/s trio for tomorrow - Lou, Ronda and Gi. I'll be thinking of you all and I can't wait to hear all the good news during the course of the day!

Hope you all had good weekends. Take care ladies, I'm off to bed to sleep like the proverbial baby!

Hi ladies,

Thanks a mil for all your wishes all went well today had scan at 8 am (thank goodness it was early as i couldnt sleep a wink!!) and we have 1 perfect little baby :D :D Its measuring 2 days ahead (maybe that explains why i got a positive at 7dp3dt?) we were so nervous and poor j couldnt even look at the screen when she 1st inserted the wand. It was so beautiful and very emotional ( i still feel like crying!!) we are not out of the woods yet as apparently the with my killer cells the next 3 wks are very important and if we can get over the 10wk mark we have a good chance of carrying full term. I have another scan in 3 wks and on all meds till 12 wks. I willl in later to do personnells and check on Ronda and Lou - Best of luck girls xx

Hope and Steph -- Thanks for putting my mind at ease about my lack of a bump! I really drove myself crazy these last couple of weeks worrying about not having symptoms and all. Just really couldn't beleive there was a baby in there!

Gi -- I'm so happy your u/s went well this morning! Congratulations mama!!!

AFM -- Had my u/s early this morning. Saw 1 beautiful little bean with a nice strong heartbeat. I was in total shock. RE showed us the yolk sac and baby and DH said "looks a lot like the spot on Jupiter." Which made us all laugh. RE was very happy and has released me to OB. I take progesterone until 4/21... only 3 1/2 more weeks! My due date is November 17th and my next appt with OB is 4/19. I have an accupuncture appt after work today. I still feel great with no m/s or anything. I know it's still early though, but maybe I really will be one of the lucky ones. Oh, does anyone else have "sore ab muscles"? I have been avoiding ab exercises but my muscles feel like I did 1,000 crunches! What gives?

Lou- congrats on seeing the HB! Great news! Isn't it amazing! I'm not sure about the sore ab thing. No doubt it is related to your body changing to accommodate a growing bean...combined perhaps with the exercising that you are doing. When I was about at your stage my SI joints in my lower back hurt like heck. Could hardly move without pain. Now they are better. My doc, chiro and accupuncturist all said it was probably the relaxin starting to work it's magic on my joints and ligaments to accommodate a pregnancy. So please be careful with your exercising. My doctor couldn't stress this enough, especially b/c I was use to tough workouts. Once you start getting relaxin in your system, you can hurt yourself b/c the joints/ligaments are loosening things up. I didn't think it could start so early, but apparently it can. Just be care my dear! You didn't come this far for nothing! :D I find it very aggrevating to have to slow down, but I'll do whatever it takes.
