Hello you lot - who is going to bite the bullet and set up a 2nd trimester - surely you can now!

Gem - I am hooked on BB too - please tell me Ahmed is going this week - the tit!

Christine - sorry about the problems - def not the baby so don;t worry - could be the adhesions or one that not implanted but would have seen that by now - so more likely the adhesions but baby will be fine and totally oblivious.

Gem how did the midwife go?

Dee Dee - hope all goes well and you can get another blood test to make sure

Babies are keeping me awake and very hard to walk the dog but still do! 36 wks tomorrow
Love to all

Off on hols tomorrow early so just a brief posting.

Christina - definitely sounds like adhesions to me. Embryo/fetuses are tougher than we give them credit for but I think you are right to rest as much as possible. Remember your poor body is probably in shock!

Spoke to a consultant today re the thin placenta. He said there wasn't anything I could do but was quite encouraging. Still worried but will try to enjoy doing nothing for 9 days. Fingers crossed!

Take it easy everyone. Look after yourselves and the littlies and don't post too much or else it will take me days to catch up!

Hi mums to be
Fiona have a lovley holiday and do plenty of rest
Tracey The midwife went well we heard the heartbeat it was amazing and she felt the the baby and she said its growing well and is the right size for dates teh heartbeat was fine and luckly my iron levels and urine sample was fine so we were two very happy people,dh didnt think he'd be able to make it as he was still finishing work so I went on my own and half way through he came in as he'd come straight from work in the royal mail van so she got me on the couch again so he could listen to the heartbeat. I go back to see midwife in 9 weeks on 16th sept,so the next big appointmant is 17th Augs for 20wk scan.she also said I should be able to feel the baby move from next week so I will be waiting for that.
Christina sorry you are having from discharge but so glad your scan went well and baby is fine.
I will set a 2nd tri up if no-one as'nt already done it.
Hope everyoen else is ok
Its our class trip tomorrow we are going top a farm with an adventure playground so hope the weather gets a bit better, and yes I know NOT to touch any animals, then we are off to sunny skegness for two days lots of resting, eating oh and lots of dessert!!! if you know what I mean
I 've had my bikini wax done today so I can start swimming just need a costume to fit me as I seem to get bigger each day,dh is always getting me to show everyone my belly hes so proud of it.
Love to everyone

Fiona

Happy hols and I am sure the break is a good a thing as any.........

Gem - fab news re the midwife. Please don;t worry if you don;t feel them move - many don't feel until 20 wks ok? You will get some fluttery things to begin with a bit like a butterfly or someone doing that eyelash thing on your tummy - or even popcorn going off. But don't worry if you don't and they will be very intermittant. Sorry to be a bore but I know what you lot are like and don't want you worrying unnecessarily - especially if I am not around to tell you off!

Come on with the 2nd trimester thread!

Hi all,

Thank you for your thoughts, I am feeling good today, however had another bad night. The pains are just awful, then during the day, nothing feel absolutely fine. Oh well just getting on with it now. Just wondered about liver. I have been having cravings for bacon & liver pate on toast, but not sure whether its safe to eat it or not. Any ideas anyone. I would get cravings like that :D :D

Sorry I can't start the 2nd trimester thread just yet, I have another week to go until I am there, but am sure it will be done by then.

Forgot to say the other day HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACEY. Thanks for all your advice & good luck for your bundles of joy arriving soon.

Looking forward to BB tonight, want TWAT Achmed out, he is soo going to get bood.

Have a nice weekend ladies

Christina

Glad you are better - liver now there's a subject. You will know of course it was the recommended thing in this country for our mother's to eat whilst pg and now they say don't eat it as maybe too much Vitamin A can do something to the developing baby - blindness or something weird.

As you probably suspect I have certainly had some liver and some pate - love chicken liver pate. Don't do these things just to be annoying honest! Everything in moderation - a bit certainly won't do anything but don't go OTT and make sure it is from a reputable source. The french stuff it down - them and their foi gras for a start and their ciggies and blue cheese and shell fish and raw steak - shall I continue?

Please let Ahmed go the knobber - sorry but he is

Hi girls,

Haven't been around for a bit. HAve spent an hour already trying to catch up with all the posts. A bit sad the Bina, Caz and Gem have flown the coup and moved on to the 2nd trimester thread. Hopefully see them in another week!

Well done DeeDee on making it to the other side. It's amazing isn't it, although it does take some time to sink in. You'll love the scan, it was great to see the little heart beats (in my case 2!).

Happy Birthday Trace ( a bit belated I know). Haven't seen anything to say you've had the girls yet but still many threads to read. Hope you are doing well and taking in the last days/weeks of peace and quiet.

Now Christine I am a bit confused about your due date. Last time I remember you were a week behind me even though we did ET on the same day. Now you are 2 days ahead. Have I missed something or did they recalculate after a scan?

I have been busy at work and just coming home so tired that I go to bed. The morning sickness has eased a bit. I only get it every alternate days now. I am still waiting to hear from hospital in regards to a booking in. Haven't seen a midwife or consultant yet. Am getting a bit nervous as would like a 12 week scan to put my mind at rest. Belly is definately growing and not many clothes fit me anymore and I'm only 11 weeks on monday!!

Best wishes to all mums to be
Shellie

Hi Shellie,

Nice to hear from you. I had another scan last week because of spotting & bachache & pains in my sides. They told me then that I was 10 weeks +3, so that makes me 12 weeks on Saturday. I am fine now the pains have stopped, still a bit of spotting though, but got an appointment with the midwife on Thursday. Glad you are doing ok, know what u mean re:tiredness :)

Hope everyone else is ok
