hi girls

Post by Bronagh »

HI girls just wanted to drop in and pass around some positivity as I am off on hols tomorrow. Had a phone call from the clinic,

ADMIN "can you tell me if you sent in the reply slip from your pregancy test"

ME "yes I did" (I actually phoned to check that they got it as well)

Admin " Oh, and did you use the envelope we sent you"
Me"YES"
admin "oh ,I'm sorry but we have been having difficulty with it"

Me " oh really "

Admin" Sorry to have to ask you but was it positive or negative"

Me "negative"

Admin " would you like a follow up appointment"

Me " yes"

Admin " ok I'll send you you one ,sorry again"

ME " can you tell me when the appointment will be"
Admin" I can set it up for you now , ok your consultant first free appointment will be Sept, is that ok"

ME" well no I would like it earlier as time is marching on"

Admin" ok I'll see what I can do..........................................ok I've double booked you in for 30 July"

This was all when I was in a meeting.yuk

Anyway, DH says you wonder what happens with your embies and eggs if they cant find a piece of paper they have recieved already hope they dont use the same filing system.

Anyway girls just wanted to catch up, I've been pack to the Chinese doc and shes given me lots of different things and this is the first time I have had an AF without .............and I mean really without any pain. I'm usually doubled over for a day, so hay someting going on down there.

But enough of me just wish you all luck this time around.

Hi Buddies....

Bro...don't think about it for another minute. Enjoy your holiday and relax, indulge and have fun. I've heard fabulous things about the place.....you did say Skegness Butlins didn't you???? On a serious note, you shouldn't compare the admin with the bio-tech side. One might be staffed with summer temps who don't know the systems whereas the technical standard should remain as high as ever.

Loopy.. 15 fertilised? that's fabulous!! what a great choice they'll have, even if one or two don't do what they're supposed to, you'll still have oodles left! Well done! someone else did you housework?? lol!

I've not been wishing away the days of this 2ww for a change. I'm quite happy to wait. I feel bloated and 'heavy' in my abdomen. No signs of anything untoward but I'm not being pie-in-the-sky-ish either. DF and I found out yesterday we've both got a free week from Monday so we're going to take a little road trip. Shame my blood test is Thursday otherwise we'd go away for longer. I still might but will speak to the clinic first. They close for 2 weeks from Friday so it's not as if I can just turn up a few days later. If they say I can go to the hosp. for the test, then I will. It will also help distract me and not put too much emphasis on Thursday/Friday. I'd like to get to see more of this beautiful country.

DeeDee - I'm off to the July board to see if you've posted there. How are you doing? regained that all-important PMA???

hugs to all,
Debra.

Hi everyone

This is going to be a quickie as DH is cooking a roast chicken and it's nearly ready - YUMMYYYYYY :D

I went back for another scan on Saturday (full story on my OHSS thread) and my follies are growing nicely so I have to halve my dosage for 2 days. Feeling OK for now but it's after EC that things can really kick off with me

Loopy - Loads of luck and *babydust* for your ET tomorrow. Great amount of embies. Lots to freeze hopefully!!!

Debra - Hope you can get away for the week. It will be a great way to keep your mind off the test. Have a good one and I will be looking forward to seeing your news soon.

Bro - Try not to worry about the beaurocrats - they just have no idea what we go through and what each week wait feels like. Every day feels like a month to me. Hope you have a great holiday.

Oooohhh my dinner is nearly ready - I'm starving.

Love Dagny xkx

Morning All

Sorry I've been a bit quiet for a few days, was trying to take my mind off things, not that it worked, but as I am sure you all know we would try anything :D

Fabulous to read so much good news since last week,

Loopy - good luck for today - my fingers and toes are crossed
Dagny - so glad all is going well for you - F&T crossed too

Debra - enjoy your week and I hope it has a +ive at the end - nothing much has changed for me - boobs still sore - more than last week, felt a few AF type pains over the weekend, nothing major so I may have been imagining it - so hard to tell when you are so focused on a particular body part :?

This week is the final hurdle for me - have started to do some normal things, but not back to work yet, quite enjoying the easy life actually, how will I manage next week when I can sleep in the middle of the day :?:

Have a good one everyone

Hi Loopy

Great news on your lovely embies. Look after them now and keep them warm. It's looking good at 8 cells so fingers crossed honey.

My estogen levels have gone through the roof to 21,000 so I may be heading towards OHSS again. I just hope I can get to EC and ET this week. Its one thing getting lots of follies but its eggs I am more concerned about. I didn't know lots of follies can cause clots though :?

Tracey - My roast chicken last night was flipping lovely :D DH the wonder chef!!! Loved the piccys you just emailed me. You look like you are ready to pop honey. Not long now - HOORAH!!!!!

Hellllllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!
Well, I must say that I have missed all of YOU !!!! I was on vacation last week, and just came to the office today... So, here is my update...Had EC on Monday June 28 total of 18 follies retrieved, on June 30 got call from the Embryologist to advise us of ET on Thursday July 1 ... BOY I was nervous to hear the results of the embies. So we got there at 9:30 ET at 10:30, met with the doctor and Embryologist and they said that 12 fertilized and the best 4 EMBIES were being transfered. One embie was a 10 cell and the other 3 were 4 cells !!! The doctor was really pleased with those results !! I am still unsure of the differences of the cells ??? anyone?? The transfer was a breeze compare to the collection !! -)
Which these puts me in the 2WW PG test is on July 15 !! (9 more days)
Can anyone tell me if its normal to have twinges since the ET on the right and left side ??? I am worried that something is wrong with the embies ?? Did anyone experience this ?? The twinges are not often maybe 2-3 times a day and for a real short period (2-3 seconds) ??? I was thinking of testing already ... Am I crazy or what ?? Someone plz convince me NOT to test !!! Ok enough about me, I gotta go and finish updated myself with everyone else's progress !! I will get back to you all TODAY !!
Good Luck to all JCB !!!!
Take Care

Teresa

Welcome back and great news - 4 snugglies in! this is fanatastic news and keep them safe - now the bad bit - get out the birch twigs to beat yourself with TESTING  What are you like.
Twinges are perfectly normal and I would be suprised if you did noth have them - you have just blown up your ovaries to around 18 times their normal size with that lot and you expect them to say "that's fine Teresa - we will just hang around now and now be bruised at all" do you? What do you feel like when you have done no exercise for yonks and then go for it hammer and tong? So forget the testing or there will be the most serious testing.
As for the cell difference - that is some difference - I looked at your dates and I am far from expert but would expect the best ones to be the 3-4 cell ones - don't hold me to this though. I was most suprised to see one getting to 10 cells - most unusual - i would ask your embryologist. Sometimes they can not develop properly so are not used which is not the case with these and sometimes my embryologist told me they do not use them as gone too quickly (I was like how do they go too quickly - surely quick is good)
Good luck - 15th July is my birthday so would love to see some pg birthday news
