Fantastic news about the injections - I know what that feeling of relief is like when you finally stop taking them, and I had the same experience for a few evenings feeling like I had forgotten to do something. They almost become of way of life don't they?

Hope you are taking care of yourself and "bump"

Cheryl

I hope that you are feeling better and that the aches and pains are getting to you too much. I have to admit that everyday for me now involves a lie-down in the afternoon. I feel so lazy but have no choice!!!

Take care of yourself and don't do anything too stressful will you?

Big hugs to you all

Little P

Well done you on the water drinking - not easy when you're getting bigger and the need for the loo becomes a regular fixture of your daily routine.

I hope the scan goes well and have fun looking at your little one - such a beautiful sight!!!

Let us know how you get on.

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to wish you all the very best as your due dates approach! The last few weeks are so exciting and full of anticipation. I was fortunate to go into labor on my own (at work of course) - 5 days overdue - which lasted 22 hours - but it's all a distant memory now. Meagan's birth just erased any discomforts from the pregnancy and the labor. She is such a beautiful blue eyed wonder who was so worth all the efforts to concieve.

I look forward to hearing everyone's news as their special days arrive! God Bless you all!

hi girls
i didnt think of the washing thing but now i am ....also iv been having tightning pains across tummy but more lower down than u all seem to describe sometimes after getting up outta chair and outta bed i can hardly walk with the pain any ideas??
dh was putting the pram together today and sent me a txt to say hed taken it for test drive so i txt him back saying where to ?? the pub and back ?? to which he replied no from the wardrob to the door which made me laugh as its only a small room
havnt bought anything else yet only a thermometer for the bedroom... dh came up with the idea that even tho there is one on the monitors if we put one up now we would have time to get the temp in the bedroom right for when little un comes as our upstairs is so hot....iv just brought it upstairs now to put in babys room and its shot up to just over 80 already and thats with no heating on .. grrrrrr
all these little things we have to think of

Jacs

I did the same thing (re the thermometer) so that I know that the room is the right temperature - as you say all these things we need to think about.

It's all incredibly exciting now - our nursery looks fantastic, we have this beautiful solid oak furniture which is all handmade and looks just amazing - I'm thrilled with it all. Just a couple of things to finish then everything is sorted.

My goodness I've started gushing again - sorry!!!

I hope that you are all ok and looking after yourselves and your "bumps" - I still can't believe how close things are getting!!!

Take care ladies

Hi 3rd tri gang

I hadn't thought of the washing thing either, so thanks for that.
You ladies all seem so organized!! we have nothing except a travel system (although I have written an exceptionally long list!!) and the nursery still needs doing from top to bottom including some painting.
We really need to get a move on.

Jacs - your pain sound very spd like. I have had it since about week 20 and have got to the point where I use my nans wheel chair to go around tesco, A little embarrasing but necessary.

Little P - your nursery sounds beautiful and you have inspired me to pull my finger out.

Cheryl - Hows the back pain? Luckily although I'm in agony on weight bearing, the pain goes completley at rest, so that's what I do all day. Still no luck with the antenatal classes. They are all booked up here too, my new midwife is going to put me a pack of info together but I had hoped to meet some new people at the classes. Nevermind I'm sure I can be more sociable when the baby comes.

Esther - Hows your pain?, things sound pretty nasty, but not long to go now. I asked DH about the excess amniotic fluid (he did obs and gynae as a junior doctor) he says that as all scans normal it probably means a very big baby!!

Smita - How are you doing? It is really not long for you now, I bet you are starting to get excited. Hope all is well with your scan.

Hi to everyone else I have missed off.

Did anyone else notice an increase in movement at around 30 weeks? This baby doesn't seem to stop. I'm not sure he ever sleeps at the moment. I mentioned it to the midwife who was unconcerned.

Sorry this post is very long!!

Olivia

The increased movement is something I can totally relate to. Just keep an eye out for actually seeing those limbs, it's truly amazing!!!!

Good luck with all the shopping and have loads of fun won't you - I found it really enjoyable going round shops buying for our baby this time instead of somebody elses.

Smita

Any news - hope things are alright with you.

Love and hugs to all

HI Little P,
The shape sifting of ones belly is soo awesome isnt it?
I could stare at my tummy for hours..
I'm doing fine..
You sound so lovely when you talk about your nursery- gush away all you like- Its like I'm living my dreams thru you girls(sounds too corny huh?)

Olivia,
Yes, the movements do increase around week 28-30, but for me I have some very quiet days which worries me so much..Especially for the past few days..
Anyway I get those mild taps to reassure me , but I'd rather have an active one inside anyday..

Saturday should give me some news..

Hugs all,
Smita

Hi all - my bump is very busy at moment - can't seem to get any rest at all and I know what you mean about the practical limbs coming through the skin - I swear this babys goiing to push itself out through my tummy any day now!
Olivia - shame about antenatal classes - could you try NCT in your area maybe? You made me laugh with the image of you taking your nan's wheelchair - What does your nan do when you pinch it? I take it you don't leave her in the carpark!! (Joking)
Jacs - thanks for tips re. temperature of nursery - I hadn't thought of that one so I will get goiing on that this week
Lil P - your nursery sounds gorgeous - our cotbed etc arrives next week - can't wait to start playing in there!
Smita - don't worry about the quiet days - my midwife told me to expect a big slow down in next few weeks as there is less room to move about and not to worry at all as long as you get the occasional movement (which is sounds like you're getting)
Esther - hope you're feeling good and not getting any more pain. Do you have to consider anything additional in labour cos of the symptoms you've had?
Joy - how are things with you?
Kim and Christine - hope Jenna and Megan are enjoying themselves getting to know their mummys and daddys - bet they're having a delicious time
Sher, Gen and Susie - hope you get some major movement soon!

Try not to worry about the movements too much, as Cheryl said the baby does quieten down after about 35 weeks because it's such a tight squeeze in there!! My Midwife said to me if I'm ever worried call the hospital and they will see me immediately and check that everything is fine - we always seem to need our hands held don't we

When you get that funny shape again, put a malteser on your tummy and watch what happens - it's worth a laugh!!!

Big hugs to you all

Wow - I am having one of those "I am huge and heavy" days. Can't be bothered to do anything at all. Little One is moving around loads at the moment and I just love lying down and watching it

My watermelon seems to be getting larger by the minute - I knew I'd lost sight of my feet, but where on earth did my legs go???

Isn't it all amazing?

Jacs - hope the bread fetching trip didn't tire you out too much!!!

I hope that you are all ok and looking after yourselves.

Love and Hugs

i managed to get the bread and something for my tea ... weather ill get round to cooking it tho is another matter...as i said before hubby works shifts so hes on afternoons this week and gets his main meal in work so i dont have to cook which is nice but i tend to not cook owt for myself ... i dont eat much at the best of times and i know i should eat more for babys sake but its very hard when u have no appatite and nobody here nagging u to eat sommit....ud think id be a little slim thing the amount i eat not the size 18 i am or was a few months back .... i dread to think wot i am now
it is fantastic to see the movements in the tummy mine seems to be more active very early in the morning and late at night its almost like he(keep calling it he but i dont know) is doing gymnastics...the way my belly wobbles and shakes it looks like a jelly sometimes ... really funny to watch and such a weird feeling...and the poping feelins i have in my bottems feels like wind but its little un doing his strutting
unless ur preggas or have been u have no idea how it feels ppl used to say wot it was like but u have no idea till it happens but how lovely when it does happen
another question i have is ... do any of u have cats ?? and are worried when the baby comes?? i have 3 very spoilt babys of the house and im very worried.
also wot about sleeping arrangements are u having little un in with u or starting off in its own room ??? iv had mixed feelings about this some say with me and others say in its own room get it used to the routine !!!!
its so lovely to be able to come on here and ask these questions and even just come on and have a moan or chat...all u girls are very special and have a special place in ur heart for each and everyone of us
