Hi all
I can't believe I am actually on my 2ww. This thread was started last November after nearly a year of tmt! Was beginning to think that we would never get to this stage.
Thank you all for your messages of support and advice. Couldn't have got here without you all! :D

Jackie, hope you have a good week away and stimming goes well next week.

Wannabmum, good luck with your appointment on Wed. Hope you get some support from you dr and are able to make a decision on your next step.

MLG, how are you? 14 weeks now! Have you had your scan and tests etc?

Hugs to all here, Rachel, Jen, Dizzie and Wescat.
Take care all

hi there..my first time here.i have the same problem like yours.this is our 1st attempt if ICSI but yesterday after my 3rd scan, they told me that i didn't produced enough egg cells for harvesting.i only got one big cell and the rest were too small.in this case they have to abandon the cycle.it's so frustrating after all the injections, all the going in and out of clinic andthen my ovaries didn't even participated well.they told me that we have to increase the dosage next go after 2 months..(another waiting) but i will continue with it and wont give up..i'll do anything to have my own baby! im so desperate about it.hope that you ladies can help me with support and encouragement as we all go through this phase in life..good luck to all..

Hello Meiji, welcome to the thread. Sorry to see your story so far. Cancelled/abandoned cycles due to poor response are the pits. What protocol were you on? Sometimes the short or 'flare' cycle is better in cases of poor response. I understand and share your frustration with the injections and clinic visits all to no avail....BUT hang in there, dreams do come true, you only have to read some of the stories on this site. Waiting is the name of the game right through the IVF roller coaster!
Lots of luck with your next cycle
Hugs to all here
Bye for now

hi there..nice to hear that. well, what protocol do you mean?sorry im just new here dunno what terms you guys sayings here but im reading so far im getting it. my menopur injection is only 2 (75 i.u.)units per injection and it was only last friday they increased it to 3.so they said that next time we'll start with 3.they even told me that it is much better to start me up with small dose because they're trying to avoid having my ovaries over stimulated that may cause problem in the end.i believed them.so, now i think im feeling better compared to yesterday after hearing the "bad news" .yeah,,i'll hang on coz the stories im reading here is so amazing..people never give up that easily.thanks for the encouragement and hope to hear from you again.

Hello ladies

Meiji, sorry if I used jargon! By protocol I mean the schedule of treatment. Did you down regulate first , then stimulate or just stimulate? These are known as the long protocol and the short protocol respectively. Didn't mean to confuse you, sorry. Sometimes the short one when you don't down regulate is better for poor responders. Keep in touch!

Jeni, hi , thanks for message and good wishes. Hope you are Ok. I don't need to go back to Spain now...that's it. I do my test here.

Hugs to all here, yes the days are dragging by soooooo slowly!

Wonderful news Anna, finally on 2ww!!!!! Image
This will be your cycle, you'll see.

Scan and tests have been great, all seems well. Image
Went for first consultation with the Dr. that will be accompanying me until childbirth. We heard the baby's heartbeat and were told that I don't need to do amnio!

Hi girlies
How is everyone?

MLG, good to see you post and glad to see all is going well. Am interested to know how they knew you didn't need to do an amnio.

Wannabmum, how was your apptmt yesterday? Hope it went Ok. Any news on your next steps?

Jackie, hope you had a good week away. 'See' you tomorrow!

Hi to Jeni, have you made plans for the Summer? The weeks will fly by, you'll see, and you will soon be back on the roller coaster. Will be hoping and praying for you that the next cycle is the ONE!

Me- well truth be told I'm feeling a bit yicky and down today. Par for the course I suppose half way through the killer 2ww. Am convinced AF is on her way. Have got all my usual symptoms of swollen tummy and cramps...ah well...hanging in there! Will buy a HPT at the weekend. Any advice from anyone on when I should do the dreaded deed? I am now 7 days post a 2day transfer with donor eggs, so no hcg shot. Officially should wait until next Thursday but don't think I'm going to make it!!!!

Thanks for listening
hugs to all here
bye for now

Hi ladies,

Im back from the business trip. It was a LOOONNNGGG week!!

Well for me... when I went for the scan before I started stimming they found a cyst so I was unable to start the cycle and I have to wait until next month. :(

MLG, Good to hear from you and see that everything is OK.

Anna, I know its the dreaded test BUT... I did it and Im sure that we all have the urge. The problem is, if we do it too early then it crushes our PMA and thats so important for us to have. Good luck to you and I am praying this is your time.

Hi to everyone :D

Hi Anna, have gate-crashed your thread. Reading your concerns over doing the dreaded pee-stick test, I thought I would add my two-pennyworth! I have another friend who felt a bit yicky and tummy cramps at 9 days post transfer of 2 day embies, so she did a test, and got a very clear positive!! I managed to hang on until day 10 post transfer, and got a very clear positive. Okay, it is a bit of a gamble, as if you get a negative for testing too early, then it could crush you unneccessarily, but if you bear that in mind, that a negative may mean you tested too early, you may find it worth doing. Only your decision I am afraid.

When I did my test, DH and I had been muttering about it for a couple of days, so when he said "go on, do it" I did, but have to add that I left it in the bathroom for him to read the result, because I was too chicken.

Good luck with whatever you decide, I am really routing for you and your BFP.

Hi Anna

Did a scan where they took measurments and then a simple blood test, with the results from both, plus my age, they calculate the probability of the baby having Down syndrome. With my results the odds are in favour of a normal baby. It isn't 100% as the amnio but hasn't risk of abortion as that test.

Beware of the HPT, remember that I had two negatives (with first-response tests), one even after my BFP with bloods!

hi ladies, thanks for messages!

I have been away all weekend with family, spent all day Sat at Ascot..tally ho and all that!

Jackie, so sorry to see your news. That really sucks. Can't the cyst be aspirated so you can continue with your tmt? I had a cyst aspiration last year and then I didn't have to wait another month. It's the waiting that's the killer...every time! Good luck x

Am hanging in there! Day 11 and no evil HPT yet! I am trying to stay calm....fat chance, my head will explode soon!

MLG, thanks for info on amnio testing. Great news for you!

Bye for now
hugs all round

Hello everyone,

Anna, So sorry again that this didnt work this time. Will you be going again?

I had a cyst and they did not give the option to aspirate it. They just said that I would have to wait. They also said that if you have a cyst, you do not respond as well and the chances are less of getting a BFP.

I didnt want to push it because the whole goal is to get preggers. So I just went along with what they had to say. I guess this just gives my body more time to get ready.

Hope everyong is well. Talk to you all soon.
